The drive-in is such a slice of Americana and reminds me of generations gone. The concept of the drive-in grew with America's love of cars and there is something so cool about going to a drive-in. To be clear, Edd's Drive-In does not have car hops, you go wait in line outside a window, buy the food is still what you would expect. The menu is burgers, fries, hot dogs, milk shakes and the like. I went with a double chili cheeseburger and a chili dog. Both were good, but not great. The price was five dollars for the double chili cheeseburger and about three dollars for the chili dog. I will say that the place was pretty busy, so obviously, the community of Pascagoula, Mississippi lives this place. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend Edd's Drive-In.

There is a little burger stand like this in the town where I grew up. You can walk up and order through the window or you can go inside and order, sit, and eat. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I was there on a weekend so it wasn't busy but there was a steady stream of people coming up to the window. The menu has anything you want as long as it's a hamburger. I got a double. It had a good, char-grilled texture and flavor. The bun was fresh and soft and the lettuce, tomato, toppings were good. The fries were wonderful. It's a little pricey (and they wanted to charge me for a drink refill) but that won't keep me from coming back. Recommended.
