After having been to a couple different orange theory locations around the greater Houston area,…read morethe Sawyer Heights location is probably my favorite! OT is a science backed workout that focuses on your heart rate zones to get the best possible workout in an hour flat. The classes are always a different mix of running, rowing, and lifting with a focus of endurance, strength, or power. No 2 classes are ever exactly the same! What makes the Sawyer Heights location the best is a mix of the people, the coaches, the big open space, and the cleanliness. First off, parking is never an issue here, there's tons of it. There's lockers, 3 restrooms, and multiple showers. Then the workout studio itself has 17 each of treads, rowers, and weight stations. Even when I don't feel like working out, just show up and you're guaranteed to have a better day than you were expecting. Catch me at any of the morning classes like 5am, 7:10am, or 9:30am depending on my work schedule, enjoy!

I'm an OTF addict and this was a nice gym, visiting from out of town. Everything is new and fresh,…read morethe space is bigger the most OTF. The coach was super energetic and the volume was a little too loud (my only complaint), everyone was friendly and helpful. One other suggestion: they ran out of lower end weights quickly, might be nice to have more (30 lb). Nice parking lot, a hip area with reclaimed buildings and artsy boutique stuff.

She's very helpful and kind. All the team members up front are absolutely delightful and attentive. They really look out for anything good or bad going on with your heart rate monitor while working out The workouts are very focused and structured. You don't have to think about anything! Which I love. It's plain and simple.. Give it what you got for 60 minutes and walk away feeling great! I've met some of the coolest coaches so far. They all seem very positive and driven to help me push myself to the next level. The coaches make this location something special. You just have to go try a session to know what I'm talking about. You get what you pay for, and I'm getting exactly that! I feel and look great!

I've been coming to OTF Midtown for years, and it's still one of my favorite ways to stay active…read more The studio is well-designed, especially if they were ever to run a 3G class--there are 17 treadmills, 17 rowers, and 17 benches, so the space can easily accommodate a full class without feeling cramped. While I used to go multiple times a week, I've now locked into a routine of once a week, mixing it in with outdoor runs, bike rides, and trips to the Y. What I appreciate most is that even though all OTF locations follow the same daily workout plan, the coaches at Midtown make it feel more personal. They're great at offering encouragement, checking your form, and helping you get the most out of every session. Classes are never too packed, which gives it a more focused and manageable feel, and the front desk and staff are always helpful and welcoming. There have been a few break-ins in the area, but the studio has taken good precautions--mag-locking the door and only opening it for members, and providing lockers with locks. I definitely recommend using them if you bring anything valuable. Overall, it's a solid, well-run studio that keeps me coming back.

This review is regarding how Orangetheory has handled reopening during the pandemic that I posted…read moreon Facebook: I know I might get a little backlash but I literally took a class at #orangetheoryfitness and I felt extremely safe. You walk in and everyone looks like they are in a bad 90's space colony movie. Everyone is wearing masks and goggles. You check in and they assign you a number without a card. You just have to use your damn brain and remember where to go. They then escort you to a locker where they ask you to put your stuff in and watch you. You are told not to close the door. You then walk in and go to your station. Everything is spotless. Like germs and dirt do not exist in this realm. You are told to stand and not touch anything. Everyone comes in one by one. If the people who check you in look like space cadets, the instructor is their ruler. She was decked out in space-age gear and the only thing not covered was her hair. She was wearing these cool goggles and two masks. I couldn't tell how she put on her suit since it seemed to all connect. We are then told to start warming up. When we are done with a block every station has a specific order they must move to always be 6 ft apart. I don't know for sure but the air seemed to not be recycled but constantly fresh. Then we just did our thing and had an amazing workout. I feel so happy to be able to do a killer workout, have it feel as normal as possible while making it safe as possible. Things might be different right now but there is hope and I experienced it tonight. Thanks #orangetheoryhouston for making this an amazing experience!

They took my free trial away!!…read more I signed up for a trial class and was very excited for it! I am here in Houston 7-10 days/month, so I'm looking for a gym to use while I'm here. I was VERY disappointed to find out that this frequency is not sufficient for them to offer the free trial class. In exchange for my honesty, I was told I have to pay for a drop in membership because I don't actually live here. I told them that if the class went well, I'd be spending money there regularly, considering I'm searching for somewhere to go when I am here every month. This was very confusing after saying I'd likely be a regular customer, they still refused to offer me the trial. I'm not sure if they're trying to be exclusive or turn away paying customers - that's what it seems like. If you're looking for a gym, go to somewhere that is welcoming. The F45 nearby was extremely warm and welcoming.

I came here for the first time in Jan 2025…read more I scored a free trial class. I have certainly heard of the franchise before, but didn't know much about it. First timers are requested to come 30 minutes beforehand. To me that's a bit extreme/unnecessary. They should say 15min. I understand a mini orientation, but that amount of time is crazy, and a waste of time. I arrived as requested. And at first they were trying to sell me on all the benefits of joining for membership, which is understandable. They gave me a tour. They offered a locker for my things. Then they put the body monitor on me that tracks calories/Heart rate, and some other info. It's HIIT. For this class we alternated between row machine, weights, treadmill in a fast pace circuit class, with hype music. There were some obvious regulars that knew exactly what they were doing. The class wasn't too packed. I liked that the space was large Class- My teacher/coach Ciandra, checked on me during class a few times. And I tried my best, but it was tough!! The cutesy thing she did was give me a shout-out at the end of the class, and the class gave me a round of applause for completing my first one, which is nice and fosters comradery considering its a group class. After the class they tryed to sell there membership again, but I declined, since I use ClassPass. I was major sore for days after. The pro's: - the breakdown of your stats from the coach after the class from your body monitor, is helpful and interesting -large calorie burn -the circuits keep you busy, and prevent boredom The cons: -the overly frequent calls before and after your first trial class. It's too much. I saw the previous reviewer that said they got sick and tired of the harassment of calls and tried to block them but they kept calling. I understand her frustration. If they get added to classpass, I would consider returning. This location is convenient for me.

Honestly, I want to gatekeep this place but that would be unfair…read more This is my favorite workout place. Between trying gyms, boutique Pilates studios, orange theory; F45 is the absolute king of work outs. I like F45 because they encourage you to lift more, and push yourself (safely). I feel muscles I've never felt before. I also feel stronger which is amazing. Usually I'd only lift 10-15 lbs max. But not here. I'm comfortable squating 44lbs, and 26lb for tricep extensions! Wth. Never thought I would do either. The coaches are so so nice. They will correct your form (I appreciate this a lot). I have only been to this location fyi. Initially, when you walk in, there's a white board that tells you the duration of the workout/rest periods, and how many laps and/or stations there are. There are cubbies for your stuff, and each cubby has a charger for your phone. They also have small towels for the workout class. There are also drinks and food if you're interested. Lastly, they have two bathrooms with showers. When class starts, the coach will do a quick run through of each station. Every class is so different. Not repetitive like OTF. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are cardio days. Tuesdays and Thursday's are (lifting) weight days. You can take a quick breather during class but they will cheer you on to finish the time out. You're there for a workout, after all. Usually if you are lost at the station, you can just copy the person next to you or look confused and the coach will come and show you again. Classes can include boxjumps, ski erg, rowers, weights, benches, resistance bands. Clases are usually 45 mins to an hour. What I like about this is that you're not waiting for the previous class to finish. They are usually gone, everything is wiped down/reset, and easy parking. I really love the community and the other members as well. The camaraderie is unmatched. They are all so nice, friendly, and welcoming. We are all shapes, sizes, and skin colors and working on our goals. I love that there are two water refill stations, two treadmills, a stair master, and a massage chair. Many accoutrements! They have a free 7 day trial period. Terrick is the owner and he's amazing!
