The stadium is nice, clean. The restrooms were probably the nicest baseball restrooms I've come across. You can take bags, food etc in but you do have to go through security. We were lucky earlier this year to finally get tickets for the Savannah Bananas after entering the lottery for the past two years. When buying tickets we only had the choice of Left Field Drink Rails and I believe Right Field Landing. The drink rails included unlimited alcohol for only $5 extra so we went with that with the understanding it's was standing room only. The day finally came around last week, we picked the August date for the game as it lined up with us going to MiLB games for the TX Rangers in the Carolinas as well - sweaty August wasn't exactly our first choice but the games lined up for it. I was worried about uncomfortable night games and possible rain delays. Everyone said to get to the Bananas game for the Plaza for opening at 4:30 - I was hesitant too though as we'd be in the heat of the day with no shade, we ended up getting there at 5pm. Gates open at 5:30pm. Free food was already being given out in the plaza but no free booze - staff didn't seem to know about the left field drink rails - people were getting wristbands but none for us. The plaza was packed but no restrooms available - so keep this in mind. The stage show didn't really interest us and not much else was going on. For adults I'd recommend arriving a little before gates open as the players all came out for a little pre show and confetti was set off - that part was pretty cool. But once the gates opened, everyone rushed in and you got pushed around. I know some of the seating is first come, first serve - but it was worst than I've experienced at Disney parks! We found the Left Field Drink Rails and this was went we finally got our wristband. Alcohol is limited to one per person not the usual 2 per MLB rule. They were out of the Banana Beer. I thought everything was free at the stadium but they had like nuts and candy for sale plus premium food items like the Trash Can Nachos. The free food wasn't bad. Like school cafeteria food. The burger was pretty good after a few beers! We ended getting stuck in a 3hr rain delay!!! The team did a really good job of keeping everyone entertained. For the whole delay they did not stop entertaining the crowd. They even said they weren't trying to draw out the night and then just cancel, they really wanted to play the game. Of course though after such a long delay and being a Thursday night a lot of people did end up leaving. It did end up working for us and we got to move round and actually sit behind homeplate and have a great view. TBH the view from the drink rails did suck, the screen was on the left to us. There was poles in the way. I'd read that the players would interact with the outfield but during the game I didn't notice anything. It's a shame with the way the tickets work now, with the lottery and then you only get the worst seats as the K Club get the bowl seats. If it wasn't for the rain delay we wouldn't have had the same actual game playing time experience. After the game the players all came out and you were able to get photos/autographs - it was all pretty quick and cleared out in about 20mins but I managed to meet my favourite player. All the players we spoke to were so thankful to the fans, even during the rain delay, players, umps were coming out into the sections and talking to fans. All in all, we had a great time. If we had stayed in the drink rail for the game don't know if I'd recommend it for out of towners who are making a special trip

What a great time. First time here and can't wait to be back. Staff is very helpful and there are no bad seats. The majority of the stadium is also covered so shade during the day and no rain if that happens either. Traffic also flows well in and out so also a big positive. Stop by and see the Bananas!!

This Historic stadium is home to the Savanah Bananas. Our first visit to the stadium and it was wonderful. This is baseball with a twist as they play by Banana Ball rules. Pure entertainment from hours before til about an hour post game. The teams are great baseball players, but also dance, do tricks, sing, etc. Fun game, fun time for all ages! The stadium is clean and very well maintained. Banners around of the famous major league players who played there. Incredible history!!! Love the city! Love a great stadium! Love baseball! Hopefully I can get my hands on some tickets again soon as this was the most fun baseball I've been to in the US.

Grayson Stadium is the home of the Savannah Bananas baseball team, which broke away from the traditional minor leagues to become a touring entertainment team, like the Harlem Globetrotters in basketball, but with dance routines and more audience participation. The Bananas have their own rules to make the game more enjoyable and move along faster. They typically one of two teams, the Firefighters (whom they played on my visit) and the Party Animals. Their rules include a two-hour game limit, and the team the scores the most runs in an inning wins the inning and gets one point added to their score, so the final score is most innings won, as opposed to most runs scored. They also allow the batter to steal first base at any point during an at-bat, and the fans can participate in challenging a call. Both teams also perform a few dance routines between innings, which often involve crowd participation. They DO play baseball, too. It's just a little different than a traditional baseball game. Tickets start at $35 and include most concessions! Yes, most food, snacks, and soft drinks are included with your ticket. There are food lines on each side of the stadium with a very efficient process of grabbing a tray or paper bag and filling with hamburgers, cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, and drinks. You can buy beer, cocktails, or other food items at other concession windows, and if you bought a Stadium Club ticket, like I did, ALL food and drinks are included, even alcohol. Plus, the stadium club will have a buffet catered for you with foods not available in thr rest of the stadium, as well as a bar, so you have open bar. The stadium club seats also provide servers to bring you anything you want from anywhere in the stadium, including Leopold's ice cream, so tip them extra well. The games are always sold out, but you can find tickets on resale sites, like Stub Hub, but expect to pay a lot more for your ticket, mainly because of the outrageous fees charged by the ticket resale site, which is not affilaited with the team or stadium. That being said, I don't regret my last minute decision to attend a game. I consider it a great once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Nothing like Savanna Bananas at Grayson Stadium. The fun and excitement is a family entertainment. Thank u

I wish they would invest some money into the upkeep like the scoreboards! Overall though Grayson stadium is amazing the Savannah bananas games are a blast and the price is amazing! It's a fairly inexpensive night for a family because food soda and water comes included in the ticket price! We have gone multiple times a year and truly can say we are banana for the bananas!

Grayson Stadium is a true Savannah treasure! I LOVE going to events there! They have an excellent assortment of concessions and adult beverages. My ONLY suggestion would be to have more spikes seltzer options at each alcohol place so you don't have to walk all over Timbuktu to get a drink.

Buy your tickets nine months in advance and get to the stadium at 5 pm for 7:30 pm game and you will be set. We get a five pack of games every year ( this year we added an additional five games) most of the seating is open. The doors open at 5:30 and the best seats fill up quickly. There is always some crazy and fun going on. They have the banana nanas that perform and have added the man nanas this year. The owner is running around during the whole game (you can't miss him he is wearing a yellow suit). He is holding unique contests, doing selfies with the fans and giving away stuff. The five game package we get comes with florescent wrist bands for all you can eat food. There aren't a lot of veggie options (popcorn and lays potato chips) but the meat eaters have hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. If you haven't ever had the experience you got to do it!
