The advertisement stated for $20 per person one receives a chose of a house salad or Caesar salad, made to your liking - all you can eat - pasta dish, and dessert. We were skeptical at first though found it to be quite delicious. We both chose the Caesar salad, served with yummy rolls. We got in line for the pasta dish. You had three different options for sauces, three different options for noodles (pre-cooked), several options of vegetables, and three options for meat. They cooked it in front of you. I opted for linguine noodles, a small amount of Alfredo sauce, mushrooms, and chicken. It was amazing. My husband got the tricolor tortellini noodles, all the veggies, and pesto sauce. He loved it! We got a bottle of wine, which was actually inexpensive compared to other places we go. Jacqueline was a wonderful, cheerful waitress. I will admit, you had to go through a bit of the casino to get there. Smoking is allowed in the casino so we were a bit nervous about the restaurant. We were surprised that you couldn't smell the smoke at all in the restaurant.

I'll be honest: the reviews are pretty spot-on. As is often the case with American history, a place…read morewrapped in so much legend and storytelling can feel a bit underwhelming when you finally see it in person. That said, if you're in the area, you should absolutely go but treat it more like a quick historical lesson than some sweeping, cinematic destination. It's not the Alamo. You kind of expect Boot Hill to match the scale of the myth. All those dramatic Wild West stories make it sound expansive, mysterious, almost epic. And then you arrive and realize it's adorably tiny. Like, shockingly tiny. "Is this it?" tiny. Still, there's something charming about seeing the real place behind the mythology. If you frame it as an instructional stop rather than a grand spectacle, it's worth the detour. Technically it's probably a three-star experience. But I'm giving it five, because nudging the average to 3.1 stars feels like the most historically accurate outcome here. Getting to 3.5 might be a challenging endeavor. Also, big points for one thing that truly held up: "Time to git outta Dodge." The phrase may have aged better than the attraction.

Known for its Boot Hill Museum(not pet friendly so only looked from outside)and historic Front Street, the city offers a charming blend of heritage and modern amenities. Visitors enjoy the lively atmosphere of local spots like the Depot Theater and tasty eats at places like Bella Italia. The community is welcoming, with events like Dodge City Days drawing crowds for rodeos and festivals. However, limited nightlife and occasional dusty winds might not suit everyone. A great stop for history buffs and those seeking authentic Midwestern charm. Lots of construction going on in the old part so getting around is a little work but lots of free parking. Great self guided walking tour but a lot of the things have been removed during the construction but still a good time. All of the removed stuff will be replaced once they are done.

One was this hotel, and you will either laugh and say "that makes sense for John", or you will think I am a lunatic when I explain why. Either way, I liked the small touch that elevated breakfast to greatness. So what was the small touch? Jalapenos and Tabasco. Aww yeah! So I may be jumping ahead telling you about the free breakfast, but there are no rules on Yelp. Here is what you need to know if you eat here. Get some of the cheese omelets that they have, add about one hundred jalapenos and coat it in chipotle hot sauce. If you can't handle that, we can't be friends. If you can, you are A-OK in my book. What about the rest of the hotel? The room was clean, comfortable, and lived up to HIE standards. The staff were friendly and helpful, minus the one bad recommendation for dinner. When I arrived, I realized the hotel was next to a waterpark that made parking kind of insane. By the time I got back from dinner the park was closed and the parking area was empty. But be forewarned if you arrive when it is open. If you find yourself in Dodge City, this is where you should stay.

It is the act of making others feel welcome, comfortable, and valued, both in personal settings like a home and within the broader, multi-billion dollar commercial industry.
