Pancake and home fries
Leah W.

I took my son who is in college for a weekend trip to Epcot and got a great deal at the Hilton Orlando on iDrive. Included in our stay was breakfast at the hotel restaurant which unfortunately I cannot remember the name. We had breakfast on Sunday before going to the airport to fly home and my son back to college. I got the pancakes which were solid. And home fries. My son got avocado toast, which had what I can only describe as a salad on top. The server was really odd, he kept pushing for us to go to the buffet, but I told him that we did not want to as we just wanted to order off the menu and he seemed a little put out by that, so I don't know if that meant more work for him or why he was acting that way. He was literally running around the restaurant from a table to table. A manager stopped by to check on us, and I did mention the running which just felt a little bit odd and I'm not sure if he was maybe on a substance, or why this was the case. It was a bizarre experience. Maybe the buffet would have been better, but we really just wanted to order things that we're not necessarily on the buffet and have a more leisurely breakfast. I think this was OK for a breakfast that was included in the rate, but I would not make a special trip or tell people who are visiting Orlando that this was a must see.

I'm so excited that our company had their convention at this hotel. All of the events that we attended were super close, the bars and restaurants were a short distance away. The elevators were convenient as well. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Our room has a great view of the pool from the 9th floor. Their breakfast buffet was also great with lots of pastries options - they even offered carving area for pork steak type of meat. I love their shrimp salad that day.

My second time staying at the Hilton Orlando and it never disappoints. From the moment we pulled in we were greeted with warm smiles by the valet. Front desk staff Ann, Dante, and Jalen the front desk manager were so friendly and accommodating with any questions or request we asked. The hotel and our room is maintained so beautifully and is spotless (I forgot to take pictures of our room when we checked in). We enjoyed the view from our room that overlooked the beautiful and expansive pool. There are many options for activities and restaurants on site, like the Top Golf Suites located at Fastbreak. The very friendly bellman gave us the low down on the many areas on the property that allow you to view the Disney fireworks. Plus the General Manager for the property took the time to come over and introduce himself (Richard I believe), and asked about our stay and if there was anything personally he could do to improve our stay. I observed him doing this with other guest as well which just added to our experience. Hilton Orlando will continue to be our go to when visiting Orlando and if you are reading this I highly suggest you do the same.

What a wonderful hotel and newly renovated as of this writing (10/12/2025). The rooms felt fresh and the property is well kept. The fitness center was one of the best I've seen and was enjoyed. One tip: Self parking may be the way to go esp the property is not too busy. You can park on any floor, as we parked on the 1st floor and the front desk receptionist said that was fine. Valet may tell you to self park on the third floor, but I don't think that's accurate at least from our experience. 5 stars!

We visit twice a year and it never ceases to amaze. The rooms are always clean ! The amenities are amazing and we just love the overall experience. If you're looking for a family friendly hotel with some fun this is your spot

Moldy cabana top with holes

We visited for a birthday staycation. I booked a king room and poolside cabana for one night. The lobby and public areas of the hotel are nice. However, my critiques come in regarding the rooms and poolside cabana areas. The cabana was $300 for the day which is not terrible considering other hotels offer them much higher. I also received a $75 refund prior to arriving which I was happy about in hindsight. Upon arriving to the cabana we realized why they were cheaper than other hotels. The amount of mildew and holes in the cabana covering was truly ridiculous. I could've looked past that had the service been better. They must've only scheduled one server for all 10 cabanas in our area which is ridiculous. 30 minutes was the shortest we waited for service. We asked for a bucket of ice and took 45 minutes. So we eventually walked to the bar ourselves to get what we needed and our waiter realized why we were there and said it was on its way. We did this with multiple things, multiple times. They need more cabana servers or at least more help running drinks and food. Then...the up-charge on alcohol is truly insane. A $135 bottle of Tito's? My friends didn't mind since it was my birthday but for that price it really should be the larger handle of Tito's. And shots were $15 a piece. Is this Vegas or International Drive?! Small complaint there but a complaint nonetheless. A small thing but a problem we had were the amount of bees and wasps in the floral plants surrounding the cabanas. I'm all for giving a home and pollination to bees as they're endangered, but perhaps not near the cabanas...as we were swatting them away all day. The rooms...they need some TLC. Starting to show their age and the air conditioning does NOT get cold. We sweat all night long. So much so, we contemplating just going home at 3am since it was a staycation and we were only 20 minutes from home. I'll probably go somewhere else next time. There are plenty of other options that are a bit more pricey but I guess you get what you pay for.

Very handy when you want to stop by a cafe or restaurant that's nearby the hotel! The lobby also had a tiny cafe kiosk in the middle. This was a smart idea- all the food items came in from another place - so it didn't take up much space in the main area. My room was nice, if not a bit odd. The bed was comfy. But the room seemed lacking some basic furniture. There was a huge empty space across from the couch, with just a bare wall. And there was no drawers or anyplace to put our luggage on top of or to put our clothes into - especially not for a room with 2 queen beds in it. We literally dumped our suitcases on the ground in the empty space, across from the couch which looked at... nothing! The staff was very nice. Thank you!

Conveniently located less than two miles from Universal Studios, shopping, dining, and adjacent to Interstate 4 Exit 74A in the Restaurant Row, my partner and I chose to stay at the Drury Inn & Suites on a busy West Sand Lake Road as first-timers and must say it will not be our last! Check-in was easy and stress-free. With 238 guestrooms and suites, our clean and spacious room was nice, and being at the very end of the hall on the upper floor, it was pretty quiet. Daily breakfast is offered to include scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, and more. The staff were always nice and helpful. Please make sure to say hello to Miss Vickie in the mornings at the breakfast buffet. Free parking made getting around so much easier; other hotels charged. As a Universal Partner Hotel, they offer a free, scheduled shuttle to Universal Orlando Resort, which we used during our visit. For the price, I would give it zero stars otherwise as rooms are in great need of updating in soundproofing. If anyone around you flushes a toilet or runs bathroom water you hear it and even in the living rooms you can hear all the traffic noise and the bedroom is closer than living room space. The bed and bathroom fixtures are updated and nice quick hot water. There is an area for coffee with microwave/refrigerator with a little countertop outside the bathroom to use which was nice. The air conditioner also works well. I wish they would modernize the couch sofa bed as it was awful feeling all the springs and made for a painful back/neck the next day. The breakfast is good but normal for free. Staff again in breakfast area was excellent. The parks are close so it's convenient but rest is imperative so if you're not a sound sleeper, I'd make a stay further out somewhere else for a good nights sleep.

The hotel is beautiful! Every detail is done with care. The rooms, restaurants, pool, lobby, etc are all gorgeous. The staff is friendly and attentive- other than the restaurants. The only issues I ever had were with the wait staff. The service was always very slow. Whether we were at breakfast, or having drinks at the bar late at night. It was consistently very slow service. Not once did the waitstaff ever come by to offer me more coffee at breakfast. So, for service I give 3 stars. However, the bartender at the pool was wonderful! She was very nice and attentive. The valets were all great! The front desk staff were all wonderful. It's really just the waitstaff in the restaurants that need to get better. We loved our room. We had a view of the pool. I did call downstairs to ask for a magnifying mirror and a weight scale. They said they didn't have either. Fortunately they called back and did in fact have a scale and brought it up to my room. I would hope a nice hotel like this would have magnified mirrors for the bathroom. The food and drinks in the restaurants were good. No complaints. The location is great. We walked to dinner and to the nearby lake Eola. There's plenty of things to do within walking distance. I would stay here again.

They taste like fake food. I didn't like the breakfast link veggie sausages and the tomato bisque was too sweet. I'm sure those can be swapped for something way better. There was no utensil For the waffles. I forgot to ask for one but how come no one else noticed? The staff did replenish the food but not the serving spoons/tongs. They do still have an omelette bar and meat carving station and crepe station. I enjoyed all 3. Clean and organized. Not too crowded. I was a little concerned about the temperature of the oysters on the half shell. If this brunch is going to last, it could use some improvement. After all, It's not a cheap brunch.

We were able to go out and about without worrying about driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located right across the street with simple in-and-out access (though, of course, there is a parking fee -- which is never fun). Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was on the fifth floor, which I actually prefer when staying in a city -- the higher up, the better to avoid street noise. One of my favorite features of Embassy Suites is the room layout. The separation between the living room and bedroom is ideal, especially if someone wants to rest while others are still awake. The rooms have consistently been clean and feel very homey. Everything was great -- until Sunday morning. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which we love since we bring our dog and take her on walks so she's not stuck inside all weekend. However, checkout morning was pure chaos. One of the two elevators was out of service, it was peak checkout time, and there was also a princess pageant event happening, so the hotel was much busier than usual. Trying to get downstairs with my dog was extremely frustrating. I looked for stairs but wasn't sure if they were alarmed. When I asked an employee to confirm, she looked at me like I had five heads, which didn't help my already thin patience (I definitely did not have enough coffee for that situation). I eventually just went downstairs. Coming back up was even worse -- the line for the single working elevator was ridiculous. When I asked the front desk about the stairs, I was told they were accessible from outside. I didn't realize I needed my key card to re-enter through the outdoor stairwell (which makes total sense -- I was just aggravated at that point). After going back inside and trying again, I ended up walking up five flights of stairs with my dog. Thankfully, we had requested a late checkout, so we avoided the absolute peak of the chaos. Our friends on the third floor ended up carrying their luggage down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, being on the fifth floor with a lot of luggage, that wasn't really an option for us. Aside from that stressful morning, we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary evening happy hour with drink tickets and small bites is always a highlight. We also had breakfast on Saturday morning -- and honestly, the breakfast is a major deciding factor whenever we choose to stay at a Hilton. Overall, a great stay with one very frustrating checkout experience.

Me and my wife enjoyed the bowling alley. We had a lot of fun. Don't forget about the shops with all your favorite carton characters t shirts hats slippers you name it Star Wars, the minions the Simpsons fun for kids all ages. We also enjoyed the cabana cafeteria . I had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries my wife had chicken teriyaki lomein full of nice pieces of chicken ,Which she enjoyed .I also had some chicken tenders and fries from the cafeteria on our stay. We also ordered food from door dash while we were in the main lobby. We ordered shake shack which was cheaper ordering from door dash then buying food on the resort, smash burgers well done with cheese fries, for a little vacation cheat because I'm on a diet. By the way the order came really fast. Don The pool was great especially at night the view was amazing. With the lights shining on the pool and the really nice fire pit they had so you can even roast some marshmallows by it. Also the pool features a water slide for kids and adults. Check in, took 30+ mins long and we checked in online, but the online check desk was closed, which seemed odd. There were tons of people that were from out of town that looked tired, especially after going through airport securities/travel from their states and looked like they just wanted to get their room and go to sleep, but it seemed that there was no urgency from staff. They didn't look short staffed, but I saw other staff standing around with no lines at their kiosk with multiple areas for them to step in at check in- Which tells me that there needs to be some cross training encouraged to help their processing. Fun Fact: I rode two rides at Universal with my fast pass faster than checking in to our room. Room was clean, view was nice. We stayed on the top floor with the view of one of the pools, which was nice but I had not so much of a good first night due to the AC in the room not working properly and I'm a hot sleeper so I did not sleep well. I did address the issue in the morning and let the staff know about my issue and that I was gonna be gone for the day and they did fix my issue right away. The food was surprisingly mediocre, and they have four different restaurants you can eat from and we went to three of them, which seems to be the same style of food just spread out. The first night I had a Smashburger it looked very delicious, but then I found myself putting on basic ingredients on my burger, salt and pepper. If I did not, it would have not had any seasoning. The second night I went to the Brazilian steak eatery and as far as a quick steak to get, it was very delicious and they serve it with mashed potatoes and gravy, which was really delicious. I would recommend eating your meals at least for dinner there if you're going to eat in the in the resort. If you're looking cocktails, they have them and they're very delicious. Prices are high, but you get a quality drink. I think I just had a bad experience. I don't feel that everybody encounters what I encountered when they visit, but I would have given a 3 star rating if it wasn't for how convenient it is to get to the park, there's a shuttle that picks you up every 10 minutes and drops you off and when you're done at the park, it picks you up and takes you right back to the hotel. Beats paying $50 a day for parking at the parks, but you still have to pay for parking with your room which is significantly less. All-In-all it was good, but not great for my experience, I will probably attend a different resort next time, but as a local in Florida, we have that choice.
