Seriously sweet suites! Was upgraded to the Presidential Suite but opted instead for one of the updated rooms - the are beautiful. If they have them available I'd opt for them they are a major improvement from the older inventory. This one is 1st floor poolside with a private balcony. Check out the photos enjoy!

I spent two nights over here; the environment was quiet, beautiful, and safe. All the staff are nice and patient. Especially, thanks to Sean, for the luggage storage service after we checked out; he was responsible and friendly. Everything was amazing.

Staff here were amazing. I stayed here on business and they were kind to hold my packages until I arrived and delivered them to my room. First class service. My room was huge and very comfy, and I returned every evening with a nice tidy room. Their breakfast was delicious and pretty good selection. Parking was a breeze, and the time I was here there was huge ball. Great to see everyone all dressed up and having fun. Highly recommend. Cheers!

One of the pools is outside the lobby door. It is nicer that the other one, although there's no jaccuzi there. The second pool with jacuzzi is a three minute walk away and was closer to our room. Although when we were there, the pool was broken in that it wasn't heating. Not a big deal since the weather was hot. The beds were firm and clean. Great pillows, there was a firm option and a soft option offered on both beds. There was always plenty of parking at Hotel Indigo, and the price was $20 per day. The added benefit were four EV charging spots provided by InvisibleUrban. You'll have to download their app, sign up for an account, and pay to charge your car though there. The duration of our stay at Hotel Indigo was always peaceful and quiet. I was surprised since it is a great spot for families and there were many kids. You were not able to hear a peep. This location is perfect for those looking to visit the flower fields, legoland, torrey pines, san elijo preserve, del mar fairgrounds, and la jolla. Everyone in our group enjoyed staying at Hotel Indigo, and we're already planning a return trip!

Our large group has attended Sunset Trivia for 6+ years across San Diego. We are exactly the kind of repeat customers businesses usually want to acquire during weekly events like trivia nights. This was our first time at Carruth Cellars. One member of our group arrived early and specifically asked about the menu. She was told the food menu was small and that most people bring in or order outside food. At no point did the brunette woman behind the counter mention restrictions on outside beverages or that purchases were expected in order to participate in trivia. Later, one friend's bottled soda needed a bottle opener, and when my husband politely asked the woman at the counter for help, she abruptly refused and informed him outside drinks were not allowed. Shortly after that, she came to our table and told us trivia was "for patrons only." The issue is not that the business wants customers to purchase something. That is completely understandable. The issue was the hostile, reactive way it was handled after we had already settled in -- especially when there were multiple opportunities earlier to simply communicate expectations politely and proactively. What felt especially shortsighted is that while many trivia attendees there may already be established wine club members, our group represented a completely different type of long-term customer opportunity. We are regular trivia goers who rotate between locations weekly, and businesses that create a welcoming atmosphere naturally earn repeat food and beverage purchases from us over time. Instead, rather than making new customers feel welcome and encouraging future spending organically, the interaction immediately made us feel scrutinized and unwelcome. Had the experience been warm and inviting instead of confrontational, there is a very good chance Carruth Cellars would have gained a recurring trivia group willing to spend money there week after week. One of our teammates later tried to respectfully explain that it was our first visit and that none of these expectations had been communicated upfront. The disgruntled employee responded that it was "implied" people should purchase something. Good hospitality does not rely on guests guessing unstated rules. We walked away feeling like the business was more focused on policing potential customers than creating an environment that actually encourages people to return and spend money voluntarily. The woman working on the evening of May 19th was not a positive representation of your winery, and if this is how guests are treated, it raises serious concerns about how new customers are being welcomed.

We each got to order a pot of tea, so we decided to order 5 different ones to try out more flavors together. The ones we picked were: -Jasmine orange oolong - Coconut milk green tea - Earl grey lavender - Vanilla cream -Strawberry rose champagne oolong tea My top two favorites were the jasmine orange oolong and the coconut milk green tea. The only flavor that none of us enjoyed was the strawberry rose champagne oolong tea, so when it came time for refills, we switched it to the rouge provence. For the food, there were four finger sandwiches: chicken breast, smoked salmon, cucumbers, and chopped spinach. We all liked the chicken breast one the most, and felt like the cucumbers and chopped spinach could have been combined into one sandwich for a more balanced flavor. For sweets, there was the seasonal scone, fruit tart, macaron, and donut. I loved the scone with the butter and fruit preserves, as well as the fruit tart. The service was polite, but a bit slow and we waited a while before our food arrived. There was only one person who was serving the entire afternoon tea area, so it's understandable that there's a longer wait. All in all, I would definitely come back for another afternoon tea experience!

It's the kind of place where you linger over coffee without feeling rushed. You order at a counter and they bring you your food at your table. The food is fairly standard café breakfast and lunch fare, but it is all done very well. I come here pretty often for weekend brunch and you can't go wrong with their breakfast sandwiches and scrambles! They give pretty generous portions without being heavy. The coffee drinks are all solid and service was friendly in that laid-back way. It can get pretty busy during weekend so be prepared for a long line to order. Because seating is all outside, be prepared in the winter since the shade can make it pretty cold!

It's on a quiet side street and was really inviting. I came back again on a Saturday around 1pm, for lunch and it was a beautiful, busy afternoon. We managed to snag the last shaded table, which felt like a win. I ordered the Avocado BLT. It was really good overall. Simple, fresh ingredients, though I think it could have been even better with an extra flavorful spread. The pasta salad on the side was super fresh and honestly delicious. I also loved the tangerine juice. The prices are pretty high, but that's to be expected in a Del Mar. Big bonus points for the free iced tea by the water station. Such a nice touch. Overall a great neighborhood spot with a great vibe. Excited to come back and try more of the menu.
