The best Italian restaurant Carluccio's is here and has the best staff that can handle very high volume of customers. I had great service by the prompt Vishal, the Loving and kind Corrina and the very fun Iwona. I recommend the pasta with shaved truffles and any given steak is phenomenal. The filet was cooked to perfection and the wine selection is perfectly paired! A special thank you to the hardworking and kind night manager named Tanuka who made sure we were given the best customer service throughout our stay. Thank you everyone! The staff were very welcoming and accommodating as I had an early check in. The room was extremely spacious, comfortable bed, shower head was the best, a variety of coffee and tea selection to choose from in the room, and a mini refrigerator was so convenient. I stayed on the 11th floor facing the Citi building and I was also able to take in the beauty of the sunrise. Absolutely stunning! There was also a restaurant in the lobby and breakfast was included, but I did not participate this time around as I was occupied. I, however did enjoy the gym in the hotel and the WiFi was super fast especially in the evening hours as I had to log into work remotely. Overall! I'd highly recommend staying here if you'd like to be close to the canary wharf area.

We were greeted warmly by the staff, and found our room comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good, but nothing special. It also took someone about 20 minutes and asking twice for any milk and sugar to be brought to our table, by then which our coffee was cold. From this hotel it is very easy to take public transport to all the major attractions in London, which we did, and we enjoyed being able to come back to quiet area after our trips out. There were plenty of restaurants and even a grocery store around the hotel as well. Over all I would stay here again if I find myself back in London.

Everything about our short stay here was easy - just want you want when you're stuck due to a cancelled flight.

We took the train into the King's Cross station, where you can take the bus or walk over. And there were nights we came back from the Angels station. And finally when we left, we left from Pancras International which was across from King's Cross Station. Upon check in staff was nice, checked if we had food allergies, and gave us their delicious Doubletree cookies. We were given a 1 bed room on the 5th floor, which is their top floor. For my friends in the states, this is equivalent to the 6th floor because in London the first floor is 0 or ground floor. The elevators, or as they call it, the lifts were small in space. It can fit about 4-5 people without luggage or maybe 2-3 people with luggage. I liked that you needed to scan your room card to access the elevators, but I didn't like how our cards kept getting deactivated. Staff told me it can't be near phones or credit cards or it will deactivate. Pretty silly cause the card is card size made for wallets. I have been to many hotels and even many DoubleTrees all over the world, and this was the first time my card deactivated, and multiple times, during my trip. As for the room, it was very tight for 2 people. It would still be tight for one person. There was only one side table. Barely any space for 1 piece of luggage. The bed was hard and the pillow was flat. The TV only had local channels and the guide didn't even display what the channels were. Other hotels I have been to lately all have streaming options these days. There was a mini fridge that wasn't too cold and a blow dryer. The bathroom was so cramped it was hard to maneuver around. Barely any counter space. Good thing I have a hanging toiletries bag to give myself extra space and prevent my belongings from getting wet. Overall, the location is the main selling point about this hotel. Being walkable to nearby main stations is important when travelling.

We got to the hotel early & were lucky to be able to check in this was a big plus since it was a long travel day & we needed to rest up a little before heading out. They give u somewhat of a reward if u don't get housekeeping, nice incentive but what they don't tell u is that u have to use it on the date listed which is pretty dumb considering u are a guest at the hotel we had two & were only able to use one because they wouldn't take it literally the next day this was disappointing, you should be allowed to use it, I don't understand why they can't at least give u a replacement one. We used it for drinks at the lobby bar, Peroni Beers not bad. This hotel has a great roof top bar called Savage Garden with really nice views, we had drinks here as well which was nice. Convenient location & aside from the issue w the vouchers we had an enjoyable stay.

I drastically underestimated how difficult it would be to find a decent hotel in London that wasn't…read moreoutrageously expensive. I ended up picking this one and it did have some good aspects. The location was excellent. In a short walk you could be at the Tower of London, Tower bridge, and a tube station. There's plenty of space out front for vehicles to pick you up or make deliveries. I think the reviewer that mentioned that the thermostat seemed like it was from the 1980s was being generous. It had five tiny buttons to control the temperature with absolutely no indication as to what those numbers did. What temperature will they make the room? Just take a guess! What really upset me and will prevent me from staying here again is one of their policies. I happened to check my email the day I was leaving the country. It was from the hotel stating they were not able to put a pre-authorization on my credit card of one pound (to prevent fraud) and that they would cancel my reservation in 24 hours if they did not hear from me. What happened was that when I made the reservation my card was still good but it was set to expire in a few months (right before my trip). So if I wouldn't have seen this email I would have shown up to the hotel and not had a room waiting for me. In a panic I called all three of the other hotels that I was going to stay at and they all said the same thing, which is that they would never cancel my reservation for something like this. One of those was also a Hilton, which owns Doubletree. So this DoubleTree policy is atrocious. My complaints were not addressed either. they just said it was their policy. There are so many ways this could have been handled better. They knew my expiration date when I made the reservation. They could have contacted me way before the reservation. They could have done a pre-authorization way before the reservation. Just so frustrating.
