One of my favorite things is a roast chicken, and I've had a hard time finding a butcher that carries good poultry in JC. I was so so excited to hear that Darke Pines gets their Giannone chickens from Paisano's! They are my all-time favorite chicken to roast - always moist, perfect, air chilled birds. I also bought some of their bacon and sausages to try. Loved to see the pork dumpling sausage, that is low hanging fruit! I heard their sandwiches are amazing, and they're known for their rice crispy treats, and fresh breads. Such a cool spot to support!

So recently, I was having a luncheon at work for 16 people and the place that I usually order from failed me. I found out that Hudson Green does catering and I decided to give their catering department a try. I have to say that the food was really, really good. I placed an order for the creamy mashed potatoes, the skirt steak, the chicken marsala, and the cavatelli with broccoli. Everything was very good and everyone enjoyed the food. For the meat eaters, the skirt steak was a hit. For those that preferred chicken, they raved about the chicken Marsala. The mashed potatoes were a hit as well. None was left. I plan to order from there again and hopefully they do not disappoint.
