A huge money grab facility! They want to charge you for everything and bill for everything. You can't get a simple prescription without doing multiple tests. Beware 1 visit isn't enough to get anything accomplished, you will be back and paying more. read more

Friendliness at front desk. Not all were abrupt but some were very I was called back to exam room within 15 minutes which is good. MA does her job well in exam room. Then she says doctor will be with your shortly....90 minutes I waited. I asked a couple times always said oh you're next. I left without seeing a doctor. Total time without seeing a doctor 2 hours 15 min. This includes the time in lobby and filling out iPad info Work on the schedule or tell your patients they may want to reschedule due to the wait Came back following day. All went well. But at the very end I was told someone would come to the exam room to schedule my lab review appointment. I waited 25 minutes no one came and I left. read more

I saw Dr. Rocha on my first visit ("she's only seeing new patients") as a friend of mine had recommended her. She and I discussed my issues and I had explained that I had been seen by a NP prior to coming to her had had bloodwork done but didn't feel as though the NP had adequately addressed the results for my issues I uploaded said results to the portal for her review upon her review she had additional bloodwork she wanted run along with a 24-hr urine test and scheduled a follow up in a few weeks to review my results. I went to my follow up appointment only to find that I had been scheduled with a NP to review them who didn't even know why the tests had been run and whom I had to explain my symptoms all over again to. I expressed my to the assistant who brought me to the examination room that I should be seeing Dr. Rocha and the response I received was "she's only seeing new patients" I said I am a new patient I only have seen her once. Then I was forced to have an EKG and blood flow test done. I was then seen by the NP who had no idea what was going on with me. I expressed my dismay about why I was even seeing her as she hadn't a clue about what I had discussed with Dr. Rocha and she too said "she's only seeing new patients" I said at a minimum they should have discussed my results and my issues so that she could adequately explain them to me. Her explanation was they don't do that prior they do that afterwards. In addition she tells me my EKG looks fine but Dr. Rocha still reviews them all steps out to review it with her and now suddenly there "may" be something wrong on the left hand side so I'm now being referred to a cardiologist and on top of that...the NP request led more bloodwork. This is all beyond poor patient management in my opinion and I'm VERY frustrated. read more

Waited almost an hour to see someone. Then it wasn't the doctor but a NP. I was told my doctor is no longer working with her established patients-only new patients. Unfortunately, the NP did not know my history or that I was there for a follow-up appointment. This practice has been nothing but trouble for us & we're looking elsewhere now. Dr. Rocha herself is wonderful & I really like her, but to be told I can't see her anymore is ridiculous & unprofessional. read more

had a psych appointment for my adhd medicine- this was my 1st appointment with this particular practitioner & my appointment was very rushed (apparently they're only given 15mins per patient)- i had a lot of questions about a new medication I'm starting but knew she was in a rush so i didn't want to overstay my time slot. The staff at the desk are rude and have no idea of how to treat people. Act like they do lot want to be there, can never check in on their QR code and even if you check in online and answer all questions on the link they send you on the email be prepared to answer those same questions three more times . I always schedule my appointment with Sandra Rocha and I get a confirmation and then a couple of days later they change my provider to some one different and I always call and complain about it and they tell me that Sandra Rocha is only taking in new patient and then they change your dr to someone else but I think its all about the insurance I have bcbs ppo and my mom see they same dr and they dont move her but my mom also has a lower insurance plan but ill be looking for a different dr if I cant see the provider I would like to see then I wouldn't pick hillside primary care. read more

While I am open to seeing other providers for urgent needs or when she is unavailable, it is important to me that Dr. Rocha remains my primary care physician and point of contact. If I am consistently unable to schedule with her, I will have to consider moving my care elsewhere. Everything else is okay. read more

They sent me this review request at the wrong time, because I literally just left the clinic (which was virtually empty) after waiting in the exam room for 45 minutes with no sign of my doctor. It was a follow up appointment. On my first day off after working 36 hours at the hospital over the weekend. I am tired. My appointment was at 11:00 AM and I checked I. From home, paid for my appointment in advance e and SHOWED UP ON TIME. - I WAITED MAYBE 5 minutes in the waiting room and then saw my MA who checked my vitals and told me the doctor would be in shortly. That was about 11:10.... And I waited .... And waited... at 11:50 I left the exam room told the MA I was leaving because I was not waiting any longer. An 11 AM appointment is at 11, not noon. I have been going to Hillside for just about a year now. I love my doctor. My health has improved greatly since seeing her....BUT just because I have an appointment doesn't mean I am willing to wait an hour or two for my doctor to see me. If the waiting room would have been full I probably would not have been so frustrated. If someone would have come and said the doctor is running behind, she apologizes for the wait... would you mind waiting? But no.... I literally sat on a hard chair in an exam room for almost an hour without a word. At times I wondered if everyone had left. Clinics and Doctors need to respect their patient's and keep in mind that we have made an appointment for a certain time and may have other obligations... They expect us to be on time and will charge a $50 fee if we don't show up - but they can't seem to offer us the courtesy of being on time and communicating with us with regards to our time. It is a service... we can choose other providers. I feel I deserve an apology from the clinic and the physician. Currently a very unhappy customer and patient. read more

We walked in and didn't get greeted. Was just handed a sheet to fill out and told to do the online process. Did that and was prompted with a 175.00 charge which they told me to ignore. They fixed it to 50.00 and I signed in. The waiting room is very awkward and the door slams every-time someone gets called to the back. I went in for a check due to having some symptoms and it was over an hour before I was even seen. Two people were in the room when I was pulled back. Neither introduced themselves just started asking me questions. One was standing in the corner, one on the computer. Took my blood pressure and was then left in the room for about 45 min til the Dr came. She was nice but I did inform her because of my prior experiences on this visit I wouldn't be back and she didn't ask what happened or try to fix anything. Just said ok. Scheduling has been a nightmare and I have no way to send direct message texts to my psychiatrist... who actually isn't even the one who prescribed my medication, I don't know wow that even is. I had 3 Scheduling mishaps within the course of 2 months. Definitely not going back. read more

Thank you for allowing me to keep Dr. Rocha. This time my wait was just under 2 hours, which is a huge improvement over past visits. Your front of house staff is aweful. As soon as you have a crew that starts catching on, they get replaced with new arrivals. We patients are paying good money...its wrong to cut corners by Using our clinic as a training ground for strangers to our health system. read more

The wait is long. They have a sign saying, expect your appointment to take an hour to an hour and a half, and it's accurate. I had a quickie appointment yesterday, and I almost missed the movie I was supposed to see after. I really didn't think I was gonna be there that long. Staff is absolutely amazing, 10/10 conversation, I felt at ease and I didn't mind the 3 hour check up where 30 minutes of that was spent actually being checked on, luckily they have comfy seats and blue walls to stare at. However I'm really not impressed with how much money it cost to virtually waste my time. Like many others you can see in the reviews, I was charged the full $175 check up fee despite having insurance that should have covered the visit, but I am now having to figure out how to make a dispute because I guess full coverage got lost in translation. I was also rescheduled, which isn't a problem and the rescheduling itself was easy (shout out the foh!) but at my next appointment I was again charged a full $175 (come on I couldn't have even gotten the $100 follow up fee??) only to be rescheduled again, and by golly if it wasn't for the amazing foh staff recognizing me (because at this point it was my 3rd visit) and telling me I don't have to pay the fee since I paid it recently, I have full faith I, for the third time, would have been charged a full one hundred and seventy five American dollars. Long live the USA. My third and final visit was for lab work, but I guess whoever runs this place heard that I unfortunately had not spent the $175 rescheduling fee, because today I received a bill of $50 for lab work and results, results I should have gotten over a telecom meeting sometime last year, which by the way happy new year! The joke is that call never happened, and I never got my lab results which sucks because I basically spent $350 just to pee in a cup for no reason. I was even happy for a second seeing the letter. I thought all that needle poking paid off and I got my long awaited lab results... but no. It's enough to make anyone open a yelp account. My lab results and that phone call are probably lost in the same place my insurance information (that could have paid for this whole fiasco) went, and to that I say please come home, I just want to know what happened. I don't want to go back to Hillside Primary Care because at this point I don't think I can afford to, but everyone is so nice there and I never finished reading that magazine they have in the waiting room. read more

From getting set up for an appointment to checking in, to professional care, everyone was extremely friendly, courteous and professional. I was promptly greeted and checked in, and my initial paperwork processed by professional first impression reception. The person taking my vitals was very professional. Dr. Rocha had already read the large volume of labs and medical records I brought in for her records. She was very attentive and was genuinely concerned about my care. I was very happy with her professionalism and how she explained the plan for my care. I would definitely recommend this practice and particularly Dr. Rocha with my highest recommendations! read more
