So, I haphazardly scheduled a 2pm appointment while trying to leave my house at 145. For once in my time in San Antonio, everyone on Huebner decided to obey the speed limit. Somehow I managed to make it by 201pm. Online scheduling was a breeze and all my info was still in there from that last time I came in with the same symptoms. The front desk staff that checked me in was professional and friendly. She politely asked if she was saying my last name correctly which I appreciated (I've been called many last names in my life). The staff that called me back, I think she said her name was Lye (?), was super nice. She took my symptoms down, took my blood pressure, and explained that COVID is on the rise again since school was back in session. She explained how symptoms are presenting and I knew exactly how I contracted it. Then I was seen by either a PA or NP. He was fast and efficient, but a little difficult to understand. Maybe in my brain fog state, I couldn't follow his fast talking. The sent my prescription to HEB and I was on my way. The facility was quiet, clean, and felt relaxing. I was in and out within 35 minutes. I hope I don't have to come back, but I'm glad to know it's close by if I need it.

We only have tele health services. I said that's great! I will sit in my car and wait for my turn for telegraph. She then corrects herself and says they don't have a doctor. I asked how long their entire system has been down and she says 30 minutes. I made my appointment through the patient portal online at 1340 sitting in my in the driveway. It took me 4 minutes to get here and I was in the portal (that doesn't work) the entire time. Just be honest, tell the trust. I pulled it out of the scabbard and managed to cut two fingers in three locations. And one cut was deep, bleeding like a stuck pig. My son in law loaded me up and took me around the corner to Prompt Urgent Care. What a bunch of nice folks. The Dr sewed me up quickly and was so concerned she might be hurting me. You. Couldn't ask for more thoughtful and compassionate people. I just wish this location was close to my home. And yes, they finished me up fast enough that we were able to get back to Foundation before my wife was out of surgery. Prompt Urgent Care saved the day. (and my finger)!

He had already been treated in the hospital and was specifically instructed to follow up with his PCP, and he was also due for his annual visit. Unfortunately, we were met with extremely poor customer service at the front desk. The receptionist repeatedly stated that the clinic 'doesn't treat accidents,' despite us clearly explaining multiple times that he was not seeking accident treatment, but rather a hospital discharge follow-up and routine care. We even provided hospital documentation showing he had already been treated, yet there was little effort or willingness to review or upload the paperwork into his chart. The lack of listening, understanding, and basic professionalism was very concerning. As a nurse, I found this experience especially frustrating and disappointing. Access to primary care--especially for appropriate follow-up--should not be this difficult. After reading similar experiences from other patients, I feel confident that changing providers is the safest and most appropriate decision for us. Due to the nature of this encounter, I also intend to report this experience and provide appropriate documentation to outside agencies to ensure this issue is addressed and does not continue to affect other patients. You never know the circumstances or backgrounds of the patients and families you are interacting with--compassion, professionalism, and proper communication are essential in healthcare.

They have consistently provided superb service and follow-through, so I recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a PCP. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I missed an appointment due to an emergency, called them beforehand to let them know, and they said it would be enough since it was an emergency. Called to reschedule, they said I never called so I'd have to pay. Asked them to check their system, they didn't find evidence of my call. I called back to reschedule again, the said they found the notes in their system, but I'd have to appeal formally. I asked them what proof was needed, and they said I'd just have to make the claim that I had emergency surgery. So I asked what's the difference between now and then, since I had already done that and what would constitute as proof to waive the fee. They couldn't really answer, transferred me to billing and billing said they couldn't do anything, I'd have to talk to the practice. I asked billing to get on the call with me and the practice, and they said they would, but they did a simple transfer instead. When I finally agreed to pay and appeal later, they didn't have the appointment I needed. One big circus, wasting everyone's time, over 25 dollars.

A couple of extra bonuses about HealthTexas are that they open at 7 am every day but Wednesdays, and 2 of their locations are open on Saturdays -- no appointment needed! I'm so thankful that I was forced to change doctors! I've found my new healthcare team! If you're considering changing doctors, I'd highly recommend HealthTexas and NP Munoz!
