Do not trust this practice…read more After either maliciously or incompetently screwing up the insurance authorization for some routine outpatient plantar fasciitis treatment on their end, this practice attempted to pursue balance billing against my wife and I for over $3000 for around a total of 30 minutes of treatment spread out over several visits. We appealed to our insurance company, who sided with us, since Dr. Callahan's practice failed to secure authorization from them and also failed to inform us that the treatment they were performing was going to be out of pocket. Our insurance company informed the practice they were not to contact us regarding the bill again, and that my wife and I are not liable for the bill. They did so anyways recently, threatening to send the bill to collections, and our insurance company sided with us again. Based on what several other reviewers have said, making errors with insurance authorization and then going after patients to cover the cost of their own mistakes happens all too often at Dr. Callahan's office. This is immoral. It is also is against the contract they signed with my insurance provider, and we have filed the appropriate complaint with Emblemhealth. It may even be against New York state law. By the way - the treatment didn't work, and the reason insurance denied it was that there was insufficient evidence to back its use as a therapy for my wife's condition. Also they screwed up the insurance code and claimed that they were performing some tasks under anesthesia, which is incorrect. All services were performed without general or local anesthesia. Why would they make this error? Just don't go here. You've been warned. There are many providers in the area who don't conduct themselves in such an underhanded manner. You will never feel certain that Dr. Callahan's office won't botch their insurance authorization and cause you a massive headache. Whether they are doing this through some staggering level of incompetence or intentionally, so they can try to hold people over the balance billing barrel, is anyone's guess.

Super clean location with great knowledgeable staff. Inga made the experience from start to finish…read moresuper seamless. This location offers so many different services; Full Body & Local Cryotherapy, Cryoskin Facials, Floatation [Bellmore location], Infared Sauna, Lipo-Light Body Contouring, Acupuncture and more. Went to this Hewlett location to personally finally try a full body Cryotherapy experience. What is Cryotherapy you might ask?? It's a process of cooling your skin to about 32 degrees Fahrenheit for a short period of time. The body temporarily goes into a "survival mode" sending blood to your body's core. This triggers adrenaline, endorphins and all sorts of hormones throughout your body in the hopes of natural healing. It was a super fast 3 minute experience to endure a very manageable dry cold sensation to reset, restore for a rejuvenating feeling. The quad tightness I went in with from multiple Pilates and Yoga sessions this past week, and didn't fully restretch out :/ definitely seemed not as noticeable later that day, and non existent next morning. So did it achieve something already...seems so! :) Glad I opted to buy [via Groupon] a multi session 3x pkg, so that I can truly see if Cryotherapy is something to add self care regime. Can't wait to go back in a week and see what other inflammation pains I can rid.

I used to go to Cryocure in Bellmore. I received a $500 gift card for my bday and shortly after I…read morereceived the gift this location shut down. No one reached out via email or phone to let me know. Not even a sign on the door telling people to use their Hewlett location. I had no idea they even had another location until I googled Cryotherapy today. I called up and spoke with Ingrid. I explained I was a client at Bellmore and about 2-1/2 years ago I received a certificate that I couldn't use because that location closed shortly after I received the certificate. I asked her if she would honor it. I was told no because they have a different computer system and it's the same owner but different computers. And this and that and the suns in my eyes. So basically this business stole $500 and will NOT honor any part of my certificate. That's bad business especially knowing you're going out of business and still issuing gift certificates.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUSLY poor customer service, crappy facilities, and rude front desk female…read morereceptionists. Came to keep my elderly mom company. First of all they've got the hazard boxes right by the entrance and one was open. Second the area was dirty. I went to find parking so my mom went in first to check in. Came in and sat next to her in the lobby, and she asked me to go make the co-payment. WHY DO THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH?? What sort of shadiness is this est engaged in? I went to the desk, hi, who do I make a payment to? The female on the left just stares at me blankly chewing. I look at the one on the right who finally is like, do you have an appointment? I didn't say anything but I'm like, we are literally seated ten feet in front of your face, did you not see I'm talking to my mom? Anyway so I'm like I'm making a payment on her behalf. She silently takes the money and writes a receipt. Meanwhile the one on the left just keeps staring at me while eating with cream cheese on her chin. Then my mom (she came for a colonoscopy) asks whether there is a bathroom inside the procedure area or she has to use the public one in the lobby. Again a blank stare from the woman on the left. The one on the right then says yes you have to use this one. You're telling me, in a BUSY location, they have ONE bathroom that EVERYONE has to use including patients that obviously if you know anything about colonoscopies, will have to use the bathroom. Added to that there is literally NO sound proofing so whatever you do in there people will hear (heard explosions from like three patients while waiting). Btw finally heard the female on the left speak, it was to YELL at an older man who was hard of hearing and possibly with ESL, WHAT IS YOUR NAMMME!!! Look we all have bad days, but the stank attitude is unnecessary, especially in healthcare. People are worried abt their health and now have to deal with this? Then they say no phones, but the TV isn't on either. Am I supposed to sit here and meditate? Meanwhile Spanish music is playing loudly. Now I'm Latina and love my music, but please, 8am in the morning while trying to comfort my mom? Last thing I'm in the mood for is ppl singing along to bachata complimented by the occasional fart sounds coming from the bathroom, save the Elvis Martinez and Karol G for your headphones.
