They handled all aspects of the process and provided the remains to my son without any issues, which greatly reduced the stress of the situation. Later, when we needed a Burial Transit document that we had likely misplaced, they were very helpful in obtaining a replacement copy. Their services were significantly less expensive than a comparable Lansing-based provider, and we truly appreciated both the value and the level of care they provided.

No funeral director should ever pick sides and they should be making this horrible situation as easy as possible, this was not the case. The funeral director never included or informed the mother of the plans for her son and simply sided with the ex-husband. At the memorial itself the mother did not have any seats set aside for her and she had to sit in the bleachers, how does that even make sense? I am so glad I live in the town I live and and will NEVER have to use this funeral home.

I asked JJ how much it would cost to tear out my old driveway and lay new. He said it would be a lot less if we add 2 inches of fresh asphalt over the old. He explained how some of the cracks would transfer though the new layer. But, not crumble apart like what I was currently dealing with. Crack fill and sealcoat every 1 to 2 years. I had him do it the next year. He was right. The 2" layer of asphalt makes my driveway look brand new! Some of the main cracks from the bottom layer came though into the new layer. So, I had them crack fill and sealcoat it the year after it was laid. No weeds or grass showing up in the cracks. 2 years ago I had them add all new asphalt from my driveway to my shop. I am extremely pleased with JJ's.
