Off and on there were a couple aids that you could tell truly cared. Unfortunately, most of them were punching a time clock. I had certain requests for the safety of my mother, but they were often, not carried out resulting in her falling multiple times. I feel it is a direct result of the management. And the recent change has caused many of the good people to leave and seek employment elsewhere. I was specifically promised things that ended up being denied to my mother. And I was outright lied to about two incidents involving accidents with my mother. Now is not the time to choose Heritage for your loved one if they need specific attention. We were finally told they could not handle her and were only given 3 days to move her. We were told we could have 5 days, but ended up being charged. If anything is negotiated, get it in writing. Management will deny what you were told.

It's so hard watching your parents have to trade in their healthy, independent life for one of dependence on others. However, if you have to do that, Heritage Ridge is the place! The staff has been so kind and caring! They get to know him as a person and tell me how intelligent and funny he is! His favorite place to be is in the dining room! I remember one time I took him to a doctor appointment (by choice - their transportation policy is AWESOME) and asked him if he wanted to go to a restaurant afterward. He chose to go home to eat with his buddies instead! :) I was shocked! I sure did make the right choice for him! :) I have given permission to HR to give my phone number to anyone who would like to contact me about it! As much as he didn't want to go there two years ago, it's home now and he loves it! To the staff at Heritage Ridge - I'm forever grateful - keep up those awesome smiles and hugs - I appreciate you!! :)

They totally took advantage of my parents who rented a home for 27 years!!!!! They had to break their lease by 2.5 months so they could move into a retirement home. Curt promised me he would work with us and give them their $350 deposit back and we also let them show the house and let painters come in and paint while they were STILL paying rent! We cleaned the unit up so it was ready to move into. They said they mailed the deposit check out then after 45 days and me calling 3 times, he changed his mind and said he wasn't going to give them a dime!!! I TRUSTED him and his daughter by their word. I did EVERYTHING we agreed upon and he totally took advantage of 2 elderly people and me! He was also informed over a year 1/2 ago the home had mold and roaches and he choose not to do anything about it. The neighbors even turned Kurt into the city because of how he treated my parents and their home. I'm sure he also pocketed the insurance money and never fixed the roof which caused the mold! Which by the way is insurance fraud! What a great homeowner!!!! He is a dispectful man and should be ashamed of his business practices!!! He should not be able to treat his clients this way and treat elderly people like this and take advantage of them. What a disgrace!

The ranking is going down. Hillcrest has one entrance. Only employees and residents are allowed…read moreinside. The Concierge checks employee temperature and makes notes. NO OTHER DOOR IS TO BE USED. Residents have been told several times visitors are allowed on the benches in front for the residents to go outside and visit. Yesterday, Sunday September 20, 2020 at 6:15 p.m. I observed a resident had a ground floor entrance open and was talking to two people. When I informed them about the restrictions, the one of the two people said, "Just keep walking and we will not breathe on you!" I wanted to reply "I am six feet from you. I am not concerned about you breathing on me. I am concerned you are breathing on her and in-turn she will breath on over a hundred residents." I told the resident the door needed to be shut. I reported it to the evening Concierge who left data for the day Concierge to review the security video tapes. The identified the resident. The Hillcrest response was, "we have taken care of it, it will not happen again. " A few weeks ago, I saw a violation of social gathering and distancing in the bar area. I tried to get the Administrator to check on it. TWICE! She never came out of her office. The Concierge said she was on the phone. I fear without a penalty protocol in place for violators, this situation will become worse. However I see nothing happening.

Things are stolen from your loved one weekly! The SMELL.....no matter what time of day/night you enter the facility it reeks of urin and feces!!!!! I have heard comments like "oh yeah we only change her 1-2 times a day!! to another resident asking me multiple times to please help them get a nurse because his clothes were soaked in urin! This just isn't fair to these elders one bit! the Director that I dealt with is so useless and just tries to tell you what you want to hear to keep you quiet. the rooms are so dirty. nothing is ever cleaned out from under the beds and chairs! Our loved one has finally been moved and she is striving!!!! longest 10 months of our lives!! your loved one deserves so much better too!!!!
