I remember visiting this place as a kid and thinking it was pretty cool, so I figured it should be on our To Do list while here. This place is pretty decently-sized, so you could probably spend an hour in here if you were thorough. The first floor has the good stuff: antique furniture, old quilts and window panes, old medicine bottles...the list goes on and on. The second floor has some "ok" stuff, but it's what I'd classify more as junk: old books, VHS tapes, etc. It just depends what you're looking for. The people that work here are pretty friendly, and most items seem to be reasonably priced. We purchased a coffee table that was originally $200 and marked down to $50. I plan to sand it and will either stain or paint it. We didn't have the ability to transport it at the time of purchase, so they held it for us and we picked it up a couple days later. If you're looking for antiques, check out the first floor. They also sell a variety of whole bean coffees, so be sure to grab a bag if you're in need of a caffeine fix!

So I'm biased because I work here and am the previously mentioned mean horrid blue haired employee. I could actually explain or give you reasons for why that lady got so upset but it likely would make no difference. If you come in the shop you'll get it. Our shop is 8000 sqft of awesomeness! We have little bits of everything and I do mean everything. If you just moved to town and need things We likely have it. The only things we don't carry are baby items (unless they are vintage baby clothes) and upholstered large furniture. On top of that We also have an extensive fabric room that's is at least 1/3 of the store. We Specialize in OOP (out of print for those not down with the lingo) but we carry over 2000 bolts of cotton and more than 3000 of random other fabrics. So downside to my shop. The hours change randomly because we are a small family business and if someone gets sick or family members have emergencies we close. There is usually a note on the door but that sucks when making plans and we get it so we try to put notices on Facebook too. We don't have a public restroom because our building is OLD! We used to let people use it but due to several issues we currently can't it has nothing to do with meanness just really really old plumbing. If you are coming during the summer we close early because we have no cooler just fans!!! That means by 2 pm it's REALLY hot! You can always call the shop and check times or arrange pick up of items you saw we just want to be safe for everyone. My entrance bell is loud and my door sticks. This is part of the fun of an old building. Need a bell loud enough to hear in the back incase I'm cutting fabric and the door swells during winter during any humidity. I like to think at 100 it just has arthritis . All this aside it's a great shop and one of a kind. I hope I convince any of you to give me a shot and see what's going on inside.
