Why yes, Virginia, it was. As we walked up to the door, it said closed Monday... Uh oh. I tried the door and it opened. Boy, are we glad it did! What a beautiful restaurant. Huge inside dining, bar, even a large room for events.... But the piece de resistance is the patio. We had gorgeous weather, a great view of the marina, bridge and right on the Mississippi River edge. We shared the Buffalo chicken wrap with onion rings. It was good, nothing special. There was some extremely trashy/weird art on the wall and the clientele seems to match. The outdated techno coming from the "DJ" was a fitting backdrop to a giant screen that seemed to be projecting someone's Internet search. Good incentive for dancing perhaps, but I took it as a hint to get some fresh air...far away from this bar. Might be better on a slower, more mellow night.

I've played live music in this town for about 17 years, this is by far one of the best venues for music or to meet friendly local people. I've had my personal issue's but that doesn't take away from the fact that this place is locally legendary for us musicians. I had been talking this place up to our team to let them know it was good food. This year was different, we had 2 hours between games so we thought we would go and order a pizza. We arrived at 5:30 and got our order in at the bar. Sitting and waiting, the bartender never checked on us or our drinks. 6:20, still no pizza. Finally a different bartender comes to check on us and we ask can you find out about our pizza? He comes out and brings the pizza and it's ice cold, he said it's been sitting back there for some time and no one ever brought it out. Now we have no time to wait for another pizza. He apologized even though he was not the bartender who took the order. Then the original bartender comes back over and fails to see the problem and never once apologizes. Just said he got busy. I get it, it happens. But they just left a pizza sit back there for 40 minutes and never thought hey someone might want that? The bartender could not understand why we were upset. And he was so defensive. I told the other guy I understand mistakes can happen but for him not to own up to it and be so rude to me after his mistake. I thought it was unacceptable. I had never felt so disrespected at a restaurant in my life. It really ruined the night, especially since we were looking forward to this for so long. Extremely dissapointed and it really did ruin the weekend. Hopefully this bartender can get it figured out and not be so rude to his next guests.

I entered the restaurant behind a man and woman and stood in the waiting area. There were 2 people at the bar and one guy sitting at a table but no hostess, waitress or bartender to be seen. After about 5 minutes, I called out "Hello, is anybody there?" Eventually, the waitress appeared and asked the woman in front of me if we were together. The woman said no, that she was there with her son and then, in a very loud, nasty voice, "I wouldn't have screamed at you like she did", looking at me. The waitress turned her back on me and took the woman to her table without greeting me or acknowledging my presence. Not enjoying the vibe, I left. Get it together people.
