I had to take my dad into his doctors appointment bc of his lab work, the doctor needed to see him right away. So I called and canceled ( guess I should of just been a no show) anyways Clarissa answered the phone and I told her I needed to cancel she told me the vets office prefers that we Cancel 24 hrs in advance! WELL smarty pants I didn't get a 24 in advance phone call from my dad's doctor office dummy! Anyways, I try to explain to her bout my last min situation. She literally cuts me off and says " have a good day" . I don't know how I hear about the vets being caring and genuine and u have a person on the phone that's rude & cuts you off instead of showing empathy. Our first experience was with Greta in July of 2023. 16.5 year old Greta was giving us the heads up that she was ready to go. Dr. Gary came in and Greta went peacefully across the rainbow bridge. Greta's brother Wesley, made it to 17.5 years. Ands just has his sister. He moved on peacefully with the help of Dr. Gary. Bella. Our big girl. Still jumping in the couch and chasing the rc car all the way up to a couple weeks ago. In just three days. She stopped eating and was giving us those eyes that we have seen to often non the last year. I am sure Wesley was calling her to walk with him along the mystical canal. Bella. Also just short of 17 years. Not the most touchy feely girl. She came and laid down on the bed where Dr. Gary and I were sitting. All three are together now.

I said no, she already passed and I still had her body in my arms and was calling about cremation services and how much it would cost. The person on the other line went silent. I kept saying hello, hello for awhile, but realized they disconnected the call. We went to Cedar Veterinary instead and took her and paid for her cremation. Not a good way to handle a call after a person's pet has crossed the rainbow bridge.

The place is very easily located on Blackstone very close to Hearndon. The practice is physically huge, and extremely well kept up. The lobby is clean, spacious and very client oriented with a phone charging station, coffee, tea and snacks available. Even late at night there were two folks manning the front desk, and let me tell you, they are rock stars: calm, patient and unflappable, friendly and caring. Everyone we dealt with that night was calm, professional and empathetic. Our issue was serious, and got immediate attention. The doctor was calming and knowledgable, and gave us very complete information. We were there a long while that night and into the next morning, and staff was the same with everyone who came in. The hospital is remarkably well equipped. Vet medicine is never quick, but it was clear they were doing their best throughout. We HIGHLY recommend these folks in general, but especially for after hours emergencies. One note: they are very good, but this is not an inexpensive option.

This was a huge waste of my time as I drove from afar with three small children and three cats in carriers. I have recently fostered and adopted from here two months ago. The clinic needs to do better. IF PROOF OF RABIES VACCINE WAS REQUIRED, THIS SHOULD'VE BEEN POSTED ON WALK-IN CLINIC INFORMATION PAGE OR ANYWHERE. Also, I was told that I might not get seen because 10 puppies were just brought in. It's like they were looking for an excuse to turn me away. There's a walk-in clinic right up the street. I'll be taking my services there from here on out. Lastly, this is no way to treat your fosters and adopters let alone anyone!

We paid for an ultrasound and urine…read moretest and the determined she has a UTI and prescribed antibiotics and sent us in our merry way. Fast forward a week and she's crying and struggling to go to the bathroom. We thought constipation. After a whole night of pain we called VAC and they said they had no appointments for follow up, it wasn't the antibiotics and to go to urgent care. We ended up at a different vet who first thing palpated her bladder and felt a mass. Then took a simple xray which showed 3 large bladder stones, one of which was blocking her from going pee. I'm no Dr, but wouldn't the original ultrasound from VAC show this? Wasn't that the point of the ultrasound? Even the 2nd vet was baffled that they didn't detect 3 cheese ball sized bladder stones via ultrasound, which I hear provides more detailed information than an X-ray. Anyway, I find that surprisingly incompetent. And even if they couldn't provide the necessary treatment (surgery), I would assume they would have spotted something so obvious and offered a treatment plan. Maybe they didn't even do the ultrasound? But they certainly billed for it. Anyway, boo on you VAC. Don't go here, they messed up big time.

Took my huge dog in for a general checkup and to find out about sedating him to clip his nails. The groomer came back with the $220 estimate but offered to try and clip his nails without sedation. I said go for it. 10 minutes later he was back with short nails and seemed to have a little more pep in his step and I saved about $190. The tech, the vet, the groomer and front desk employees were all great. It was a great experience and I will take my other 2 dogs there when necessary.
