The courtyard area is amazing as well. They have a downstairs area with several rooms each room has a tv easily ready for presentations. You can hear every noise from the upstairs area. It was literally like the movie stomp the yard. The floors constantly creak. Not an ideal space for classes in which I attended. More of a party space vs a learning event environment. You could visibly see the insulation in the ceiling. The bathrooms were clean but had the cheapest of toilet paper with butterflies on it. Overall this is a party venue not a total event space.

There is also an outside courtyard with chairs and tables. The bathroom is clean and immaculate and reminds me of a fancy hotel bathroom. There is also a kitchen for catering food. The space was well air conditioned inside and I felt comfortable during my whole visit. According to an article on Cleveland.com website, "The 10,000 square-foot building has a long history; it was originally a furniture showroom in the early 1900s, and it later became a banquet space and cultural center for Gordon Square's Vietnamese community. Holland and fellow business partners Kyle Lawrence, John Lawrence and K.C. Stitak led the vision for Gordon Green, and worked to maintain historic aspects of the property like its original hardwood floors and tin ceilings, according to a press release." She listened to what we wanted, was easy to get a hold of, had great ideas. She and her team were extremely helpful, and with her guidance our wedding ended up being gorgeous. Hilary made wedding planning easy. The venue is unique, and cool and so many of our guests complimented us on our choice and said that they had never been to a wedding like ours. We had an amazing time and are so happy with our decision. We had 110 guests and that was the perfect amount of space- although smART Space is larger and could have accommodated more people we did not feel as if the space was too big. 110 was the perfect size for our ceremony and cocktail hour in HEDGE.

The 78th Street Studios is a huge arts studio that also has a theatre on the 2nd floor called the Blank Canvas Theatre. I visited for the first time probably in 2018 or 2019 then I came in 2023 and so on. I've attended their 3rd Fridays art event plus some plays at the Blank Canvas Theatre. It's always nice walking around 78th street studios. It can get a little overwhelming because the building is so big and you may get lost but just follow the signs posted on the walls to find out where you're going. But it is worth it as it is definitely one of the BEST places that host art festivals/fairs at least a dozen or so times a year. Support local and keep up the good work! My only suggestion is to avoid parking nearby and just walk to 78th Street Studios until they respray the parking lot lines and fill in some of the potholes...

The battle was so much fun and I loved that they involved the audience and even had a panel of judges who also took shots at the comedians. I have not ventured out to this part of Ohio much but I am happy I did because forest city brewery had the best pierogi I have ever had. They put caramelized onion on top of them and they just tasted like perfection! I am still thinking about them and wish this place was closer to me. They seem to have other events here like bingo and they have a nice outdoor patio for bigger groups. This place was great!

I was lucky enough to experience Forest City Brewery for two Yelp Elite Events; the first about a…read moreyear ago and then the other night for the Cleveland Comedy Festival. Forest City Brewery is located in Duck Island (between Ohio City and Tremont) on the corner of Columbus Road and Freeman Avenue, with the actual entrance on the Freeman side. Inside you will find a series of different rooms, including a large Beer Hall, the main bar area and a great patio out back. The whole thing feels very real and industrial, funky, comfortable and truly Cleveland. Forest City has a nice concise menu of foods, in house beers along with a larger menu of beers and drinks. You order and pay at the bar, get your beers and a number that allows them to find you with the food. The patio is a large open space with trees and plenty of assorted tables and chairs and is very dog friendly. I enjoyed the house brewed beers; I prefer darker and more full bodied beers. All of the beers were very drinkable, smooth and nice finishes. The flavors are subtle and nicely balanced; these are great beers to enjoy and there is a definite personality that Forest City beers have. I was lucky enough to get tickets to the Comedy Festival late show on Friday. The show was in the main beer hall, a large room with a low stage on one side. The show was set up with seven comedians each doing about 7 minute sets and the headliner doing about 45 minutes. Overall an great show, a bunch of different styles and approaches. The headliner Elijah Nevels was excellent; a Cleveland local who tells great stories and hilarious jokes he had the crowd going for his whole set. I really enjoyed Forest City Brewery great beer, really well made food with traditional flavors and a really unique setting. I would highly recommend checking them out. Forest City provides a unique venue to host events; if you are a comedy fan you should look forward to next years Cleveland Comedy Festival.

They have an okay beer list, it's more about the cocktails. Our bartender was helpful and friendly, despite a growing number of people getting complicated drinks. Every time I attend a girl dinner it just keeps getting better. The staff is always amazing and welcoming.

The views are immaculate - the Westside Market and W 25th. The rooftop has a bar area, tables, and benches. There are various tropical vibes - aquamarine hues, white vacay looking furniture, tropical plants, and gorgeous blue canopy/overhang. The decor has gorgeous juxtaposition with brick walls of the building. It's just gorgeous. You have to visit and take a million pictures. I felt like I was on the mini vacation. While this destination is on the rooftop, it also offers considerable amount of privacy. For instance, while walking up to the building, I wasn't able to see or hear the event I was attending. It's a big plus to have this privacy yet view the surrounding landmarks. As far as getting up there, find the door directly across from the entrance. Go up a few flights of stairs and arrive at the Canopy. The rooftop bar and event venue is only available for private events. I visited this location for a yoga class with Bottoms Up Yoga & Brew. There will be another class here in July (find it on Eventbrite). I really enjoyed the yoga class here. It accommodated our small group very well and we went for brews downstairs to the Market Garden Brewery right after. All of us were very impressed with this rooftop. I wanted to visit this venue for the longest time. I finally stopped in for the Cleveland Vintage Market hosted by the Cleveland Vibes. Ambiance: The space is huge - over 11,000 square feet of open space. There are remnants of Tenk Machine & Tool outside - a little mural. There is one ballrooms and separate rooms to the back of the event space. The vibes are industrial sophistication - gorgeous exposed brick walls, wood details, and abundant natural lighting. I can absolutely envision a wedding here with juxtaposition of delicate and rough. I love exposed brick walls, so for me the venue was just perfect. It was also just right for the Cleveland Vintage Market. It fit in plenty of vendors and attendees with still sufficient room to roam. Marigold Catering: There were sandwiches and cinnamon rolls for sale during the event offered by Marigold. I did not try either. I really enjoyed Marigold catered food at other events I've historically attended at other venues around the city. Service: I interacted with the security staff at this venue. They were so friendly and great at directing the foot traffic. Parking: Parking is available at a surface lot next door owned by Marigold. If you're up for a show walk, Nautica Pavilion is also a good parking choice. Ubering to this destination is pretty easy, GPS shows an accurate location.
