By far the most friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff were the people who ran this joint. You can read their passion for bikes immediately - it is written all over their greasy hands and their open smiles. And you can pick up a reliable bike at a reasonable price, which is, after all, the Holy Grail in Cambridge.

They sell bikes and accessories for adults and children and are a very knowledgable bunch. They also sell spares and do repairs and servicing for your bike and charges are very reasonable - they recently changed a whole new brake caliper set on my son's bike and only charged me a tenner. It's a popular outlet and due to this in bussy periods in may take some time for them to turn your repair or servicing request around. But personally I wouldn't go anywhere else for bike spares and repair - friendly and efficient independent outlet that really looks after its customers.

They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I had a repair done at another shop and it never quite got sorted correctly. He takes in bikes for repair at the beginning of the day (from 8.30 am) and has them ready for collection at the end of the same day, which saves busy office workers from dashing to one of the bike shops in their lunchhour. His services are reliable, but not any cheaper than the bike shops - there's stiff competition for all things bike-related in Cambridge! He also has a selection of overhauled second-hand bicycles for sale. Again, not any cheaper than the bike shops, but neither is it any dearer, so save yourself the walk to Mill Road!

They have items behind the counter and a largish stock room out the back so it is always worth telephoning or asking if they have an item in stock. Something i needed was out of stock so they rang the supplier and ordered it there and then for me and telephoned me a couple of days later to let me know it was ready for collection.
