I was given a vague window for a call-back/appointment of "maybe this afternoon.....maybe Friday.....maybe Monday or Tuesday". Seriously? Four days (not to mention the weekend in between)?!?! I thought, "okay.....based on the reviews, it's probably worth the wait". Never got the call back from them so moved on to Christian Roofing and Remodeling. Submitted a request online and had a call back the same morning with available appointments that afternoon or two afternoons later; both after 5:00pm, which I needed. I scheduled them for that day and Brent arrived on-time to take a look at our issues and give some feedback on a number of questions I had regarding our roof and future replacement. While there, he identified the source of the leaks and plugged them.....FREE of charge! Brent was exceptionally courteous, polite, and professional and went out of his way to take care of the known problems and look over the rest of our roof for any other leaks or damage. Obviously, they want my business when it comes time to replace our roof and they'll get the job on my rental property, too, when it comes time (in addition to finishing out our bonus room). The most important thing is that they WANTED my business and made the effort to get someone out same day, after hours, to assist with the immediate issue. Can't say the same for the other guys. Apparently, my job wasn't worth their time (in spite of all the 5-star reviews they have received). Couldn't be happier with the service from Christian Roofing and Remodeling and I HIGHLY recommend you choose them if trying to decide between the two "reputable", Watkinsville-based roofing and remodeling contractors. You'll be glad you did!

He found damage so we got the insurance involved and they approved a new roof and all was good to this point. A few days later they installed the roof and Ryan said if I c ould give him referrals he would give me 50 bucks for each one and if he got the job he would up it to 250 which I did . After the roof was installed I gave each member of the crew a good tip and then the crew left and me and Ryan did a final inspection and we found a couple of things that needed to be fixed and he said he would come back the next day and do it . Three weeks later he still hasn't been back with me calling him every day now he won't answer his phone. I then contacted the main office and they said they would contact him but that hasn't helped either. So once you pay them they are gone I just hope I don't need any warranty work done and as for the referrals money it's just a big lie . Just a warning if they want to do you roof slam your door you can't believe a word they say. Thanks for reading.

A couple of days later Jaco sent Miguel Martinez out to look at our roof. He also tarped the roof for us in a spot that had allowed water to leak into the house, damaging the living room ceiling. The estimate was free. Miguel was an absolute godsend through the entire process, letting us know how to proceed with each step. Miguel came back when our insurance adjuster surveyed our roof. He was a great help in working with the adjustor to ensure all the damage was noted. Three hours later our insurance company said they would replace the entire roof and repair our living room ceiling that was also damaged. Jaco had a crew replace our roof within a couple of weeks, taking a single day to do so. A couple of weeks later another crew repaired our ceiling. That only took an hour and a half. Please note, Jaco wanted to do the work all in one day, but we had to shuffle our dogs in and out of the house. They were very understanding of that, too. "No problem." The work was outstanding. So was the customer service. I can't recommend them enough. Hope you get Miguel assigned to your project.

They left the area pristine as well! From beginning to end, they were the consummate professionals! We are so happy they installed our door for us! While we realize it was not an easy job just for the weight (almost 1,000 pounds!) they never complained once. They had the most positive attitude while paying close attention to the details. The best compliment I can give Anthony and his crew is that I, as a realtor, will refer them to my clients. If we never need anything else like that done, I'll be calling them! They were exceptional!

This poor deck hadn't been cleaned in years--long enough that I was considering charging admission as a mossy nature preserve. One afternoon with Handy Marin and suddenly I'm looking at wood grain I forgot existed. It's like depreciation reversed before my eyes. As if restoring the deck weren't enough, he also re-hung the wayward shutters on the front of my home. Think of them as irrational markets suddenly corrected--now everything looks balanced, stable, and dare I say, aesthetically efficient. The work was quick, thorough, and surprisingly affordable--an optimal equilibrium of quality and cost. I rarely give out 5-star reviews (my students will attest to this), but in this case, the marginal utility is through the roof. Handy Marin Services earns my highest recommendation. If you want your home to look less like a neglected externality and more like a well-run economy, call this man immediately.

I hired R Contracting services based on the recommendation of a neighbor whom they did renovations for in the past. My project was to build a roof over my patio. When signing the contract, Renee was unwilling to pull a permit for the contract for the project, even though the roof was an addition to the house. I secured a permit under my name and thank God I did. The framing failed inspection due to no rafter straps, posts not being properly bolted and a post being cut differently than the other two without being properly secured. After they corrected those issues, they attempted to use water-damaged molded wood for the ceiling of the roof. When I told them it was unacceptable, their initial response was that they would "clean it" and put mold-resistant primer on the wood. I held firm because my son has Asthma. They eventually replaced the wood on the ceiling. The final straw was when they were finishing up and I had to notify them that a moved downspout was pointed towards a window. A two-week quoted project, ended up taking four. They were more concerned about getting paid than doing quality work or doing the project right the first time. -I would not recommend them to anyone.
