I've been a customer of this business for approximately four years. I originally purchased a chain…read morehere and have returned periodically for cleanings and polishing. Over the past year, however, getting service has become increasingly difficult. I was only able to have the chain cleaned about twice and fully polished twice, despite multiple attempts, because I was consistently told there were no available time slots and that the wait was around two weeks. On or around December 9, I stopped in again to ask about having the chain cleaned. I was told once more that the wait would be two weeks. I then asked whether there was an option to pay extra for faster service, as many businesses offer express or priority options. This was simply an attempt to find a solution after repeated delays. The response I received felt dismissive, and I was told that faster service would require stopping work for other customers. I left without issue and was not refused service at that time. Based on that ongoing experience, I posted my initial review. On Friday, December 13, I returned to the store hoping to address the situation professionally and see if my concerns could be resolved in person. When I entered, the front desk employee immediately identified me as the person who had left the negative review. There was no attempt to discuss my concerns or work toward a resolution. The interaction escalated quickly. My review was referenced aloud, voices were raised, and I was repeatedly told to leave the store using profanity. One of the men behind the counter stood up and shouted at me while directing me to leave. Although there was no physical contact, the behavior felt intimidating and unprofessional. At no point did I raise my voice, use profanity, or threaten anyone. I chose to leave to avoid further escalation. For clarity, I was not refused service prior to leaving a review. I had been a paying customer for years. The refusal of service and hostile interaction occurred only after my review was identified. This update reflects my firsthand experience as a long-term customer and is shared for transparency so others can understand how feedback was handled in my case. Additional context to my previous update: When I returned to the store, both the front desk employee and a jewelry staff member immediately identified me as the person who had left a Google review. That recognition happened as soon as I entered, before I had said anything. Instead of attempting to address my concerns or resolve the situation professionally, the interaction escalated. Voices were raised, profanity was used, and I was told to "get the f*** out." One of the jewelry staff members stood up and shouted at me while directing me to leave. The front desk employee also participated in the confrontation. Although no physical contact occurred, the behavior from both individuals made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I remained calm, did not raise my voice, and chose to leave to avoid further escalation. This update is shared only to accurately document how feedback was handled in person.

The necklace my mother purchased had a small clasp and she asked the sales associate if a larger…read moreclasp could be put on. She said yes and told her that it would be available for pickup in about two weeks. She explained that times were a little extended due to the pandemic. We of course understood that and were accepting of the two week timeline. Donna was very nice to us and I want to put an emphasis on that. This is not a complaint about her. I had purchased a ring at the same time my mother purchased her necklace. I needed it resized so they were sent off together. I went to the store to pick up my ring and her necklace after the two weeks and my mothers necklace was not there. The sales associate Amber contacted my mother via phone to inform her that there was nothing wrong with her necklace. My mother acknowledged she knew that there was nothing "wrong" but that and it was sent off to have a larger clasp put on. My mother expressed to me that Amber was not very helpful on the phone so I went to the store with her to sort this out (about 2 weeks after the phone call with Amber). When we arrived Amber greeted us dressed very inappropriately. She had on what looked like yoga pants with a tank top and a cover up. This tank top was a lace front and was cut down to about her navel. I'm not sure if that is a new sales tactic Kay Jewelers is encouraging, however, I am not impressed. Not only was she dressed unprofessionally, but her demeanor coincided with this attribute. My mother was frustrated, with good reason, but remained professional (this is now 1 month + after the purchase date). Amber did not empathize with the situation and was rude to us. She made us feel as though we were an inconvenience. Regardless of the poor customer service we left thinking the situation had been handled. It is now 2 months + after she purchased the necklace and she still has not received it. She has not been contacted about the status of her necklace and has made two payments towards the item on her credit card. I have had such a horrible experience at the Sebring store I do not plan on shopping there again in the future. This was my original review on google reviews (with 5 stars): I had a fantastic experience at the Kay Jewelers in Sebring, Fl. My mother and I stopped in after brunch to pick up a pair of earrings I had sent off for repair. The customer service was excellent. My consultant (I think her name was Donna) was very friendly and knowledgeable. After I received my earrings back my mother and I decided to browse around a bit. The consultant was prompt in aiding us. She made the experience fun and relaxing. We both made purchases and she helped us find the perfect pieces to suit our individual style. Excellent customer service!

To start my experience at the Sebring Kay Jewelers I went in to get my WEDDING ring resized. Once I…read morefinished figuring out my ring size I got to talking about wedding bands. They told me they discontinued it but they had one left. So I told them I'd talk to my husband about it. (Roughly 2 weeks later) My husband went in on Valentine's day and bought it for me! I was excited and I was supposed to be getting my ring back that same day! We came back in later that day to pick the ring up and after looking at it and almost taking off with it we realized it wasn't my ring. I'm freaking out because I have someone else's ring and who knows where mine could be...... we go back in and at first the tell me it's mine (which from the above picture they take it does look similar) but I explain to them that I'm 100% positive it's not mine. They start to notice the difference between the picture and the ring I now have in my hands. The lady went and made a phone call while the other went through the other rings that were there to make sure they didn't mix them up. When the lady got off the phone she told me it was still at the place where it was to be resized. Me and my husband left the ring there so they could find the owner and we waited for them to call about mine. They called and told my husband that they couldn't find my ring and that they had a new one on order. Now as much as I like new things, there's just something about the ring that my husband got down on one knee to propose with. My husband called me to tell me and I called them back holding back tears. I told them I don't want a new ring I want mine. I was angry, frustrated, and sad all at the same time. I was told that my ring was there and they lied to me. They didnt have it at all. After going back and forth with them (mainly checking up) they finally found it and had it shipped back (at least they told me it was mine). I picked it up and went to get the wedding band resized at a different Kay Jewelers. There I found out that the wedding ban wasn't the same band that goes with that ring. It was probably the closest thing I was going to get to match but they told me it was the last one they had for my ring because they'd been discontinued. Now I'm okay with the band but do you have to lie to my face? I mean I was lied to 2 or 3 time when all I wanted is the truth. Yeah I wasn't someone you'd want to talk to after I just found out you lost my ring and I know it probably wasn't even technically your fault. The problem I had was you lied to me telling me you found it when you didn't, you lied to me about my wedding band, and one of the ladys told me she'd get back with me the next day about overnight shipping it when she wasn't even working the next day or 2. I'm very disappointed
