They all support the homeless and other disadvantaged folks, and I wholeheartedly support that! I stop by once in a while to buy a thing or two not because I need it but to show my support. Over the years I have noticed a couple of things that distinguish this store from the others- 1. The people working here, I believe mostly volunteers, appear to be just a notch nicer and more helpful. Kudos to whoever is choosing and training them! 2. The prices here are mostly lower than the others, especially on clothing and glassware. Several of my friends say the same! 3. They work really hard to keep the sales floor clean and tidy! I hope my fellow Yelpers, especially those who live locally, take a little time to support these fine 5-star folks!

Furnishing a home can be overwhelming given costs and choices but Hunter was very knowledgeable and helpful with all my decisions. I was able to purchase several mattresses, bedroom sets, dining set and living room furniture. They were all delivered and set up for me in time for my next trip back to Florida to stay in our new home. The pricing was reasonable, the American made quality is second to none and I am very happy with all of the furniture we purchased. The mattresses are extremely comfortable. We were so pleased with the entire experience working with Hunter and Lee's Furniture that we returned to the showroom to buy some pieces for our den and for beautiful Colonial Road pieces for our lanai. Can't beat the value! And looking forward to our return trip to enjoy our latest additions.

There is a big display of all sorts of imported pottery, then a warehouse, and you can walk all the way back and around the building... then more pottery. What's even more fun is they have an activity where you can buy and crack geodes on sight. The prices were great too, costing $10-$20 depending on size. They focus on helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and do a super job. As part of their fund-raising efforts, they run numerous ARC Resale locations where they resell donated goods and it's the Avon Park resale location that I'm reviewing today. My mother recently passed away and I had a need to donate a great deal of stuff she had accumulated over 94 years of life. I chose these folks Arriving- It's right on Main Street about a minute from US Route 27 and it's a snap to find. Parking is simple. Donating- Easy peasy! The customer service folks explained clearly what they could take and why they didn't except certain items. It was painless and quick. Shopping- Let's assume you've been to other places that sell donations. This place is clean and organized like the competitors. The staff is just fine. Pricing- Unfortunately I'm deducting One star as they seem to price higher than all the competitors. They make up for that a bit by having selected days with discounts like Seniors Day etc. However, the standard pricing, in my opinion, needs to be adjusted. Conclusion- Even with the pricing blip this is a fine organization doing good work and the store is worth a look, especially on discounted days!
