Do you ever feel "too good" to do something?…read more Well, I think I thought I was "beyond" laundromats. It turns out I'm not. In fact, a homeless woman recently taught me a couple of things. First, she kindly taught me to use one of the "big boy" washers. I could not figure out where everything went to start the soapy swirling. Second, she reminded me that kindness is not dependent on circumstances. She had something to teach me, and I had something to learn. Either one of us could have robbed me of that lesson--I'm glad she didn't, and I'm becoming wise enough to learn the first time around. I was there to wash some comforters that wouldn't fit in our home washer and dryers. Not knowing one laundromat from another, I picked Hollywood Coin Laundry in Norman, OK, and I could not have been more impressed. The staff were nice, helpful, and respectful to everyone who came through the doors. The place was CLEAN, the equipment was in good repair, and the clients were all pleasant and didn't mind me snapping photos of them. I have been back to Hollywood several times over the last month and have looked forward to my visit each time. Strange, huh? I wanted to see if the customer service was consistent. It was. Was the facility kept clean and tidy? It was. Did I feel welcomed and wanted as a customer? I did. There are a LOT of businesses that I frequent that I dread. I won't drop names, but many of the ones you are thinking about are the same ones I am thinking about. I wonder how much better their business would be if they were welcoming, kind, and respectful and taking care of business in a manner where their customers wanted to come back and do things that most people dread. Something to think about. Well done, Hollywood Cleaners and Coin Laundry. I'll be back with my Ziploc of quarters, my detergent and fabric softener (enough to share if anyone needs it), and a hug for my new laundromat friends.

If you don't have a washer this is the place for you to try…read more We have been to this laundromat 3 days in the last month. Overall great experience. Very friendly owners. They help and answer any questions you might have, or if your money gets stuck or you stick it in the wrong machine. They will help get it out or replace. This laundry Matt offers machines from $1.50-$8 you can't go wrong. It's not overpriced or packed. The dryers are a quarter for 6 mins or to how ever long you need to dry your clothes. If you leave you laundry soap they sell it. They do offer a laundry service to wash your clothes as well. The bathrooms are very clean. We will for sure be back.

Why did she push a cart of laundry out to us when we were leaving but it was missing all of our bath towels, which were new ,0 all of our wash rags, underwear, shorts outfits and only have a few older items in the cart. That cart was not in site when we were there but all of a sudden appeared. Don't do your laundry here and a thing that sucks is they must have even used our dryer for their own things because the guy who ran up beside me had clothes in the one we had just put money in to dry ours. I know the attendant had a part in it or her bf was the thief. There were several other dryers open but ours had been messed with.

My washer has been out for a couple weeks now, so I took my laundry to Sooner wash off East Lindsey. the employee ANGEL came up to me offered to do my laundry if I paid her a set fee of 45$ I had all three kids with me, so I agreed just seemed easier. She washed and dried my laundry called me when they were done. I went and picked them up, when I got home. I noticed that my son's OKC jersey was missing... That jersey was $120 he got it for Christmas. I called the number I have been contacting this Angel woman on. She stopped answering my calls and text so I contacted the manager. He was absolutely no help completely rude about the entire situation, so I proceeded to contact the police since it was a theft. I have since filed a police report on her, she denied ever having any kind of contact with me to the police, not knowing I had proof on my phone so of course the police did not believe her!!! I'm just assuming the manager does believe her because She is still working at that establishment! Just please be warned if you go to Sooner Wash on East Lindsey in Norman, Oklahoma. There is a thief working there. Hate that this happened but lesson well learned!!!!! Share this post if possible get the word out please DO NOT GO TO SOONER WASH ON LINDSEY IN NORMAN!

Real great business model. Definitely will never come back. Avoid!

I have used this laundromat off and on for the past 27 years and never had any problems, although…read moreit was always a little lacking in the cleanliness department. Today I saw the attendant was mopping and walked up to the edge of that area, expecting to be greeted and told that she'd be done shortly or she'd be happy to get my change for me. Instead, "Connie" (she claimed that was her name) told me that I'd have to go back out the door I came in and walk around the building to a different door to get to the change machine. When I said," I'll just walk along the edge here. I have non-slip shoes," and did so, she became physically threatening and blocked me from returning to my machines, all the while verbally abusing me. I stated that I was 70 and didn't want to have to walk around the building to get back to my laundry - but I ended up doing so. As soon as I got back inside the building, I saw Connie allow a younger male customer walk through the area that she had barred me from. I needed more change, so I once again started to walk to the change machine, and Connie accused me of trying to cause trouble by "prancing" around the laundromat. (I'm overweight, elderly, and disabled.) Connie accused me of lying about being disabled and told me to get out. She physically plastered herself across the change machine so I couldn't use it. I said that I just wanted to finish washing the clothes that I had already started and then I would never use that laundromat again and that I didn't want to have to carry sopping wet clothes from the machines to the car. Connie offered to do it for me, so I agreed. She then led me through the same area of the wet floor and removed my clothes from the machines, all the while harassing and attempting to bully me. And then she made a blatantly racist remark by telling me that I thought that I was "entitled" and that I wasn't "entitled." (Entitled to what? Polite customer service?) She took my wet clothes outside and left them on the curb by my car - the baskets with the wet laundry were too heavy for me to lift. This racist and agist young woman lacks basic customer service skills, making her a very poor fit for a laundromat attendant.
