When I finally did call Melissa to schedule an appointment, she was so warm and really took the time to assuage my fears on the possibility that my control freak dog may not respond well to his very first grooming experience. She fit me in that day due to a cancellation and I dropped him off two hours after our phone call. Confession is that perhaps it is not just my dog who has control issues; perhaps he learned them from me because I am quite determined that he stay good looking and deliberately shaggy. When I picked him up, I had a few more requests to trim him a little shorter that she willingly accommodated. Most importantly though, he was genuinely happy and stress free. She handled him with sweetness and kindness that only instill in me to advocate for further patronage of her awesome business practice. She is accommodating, honest, patient, and kind. She responded that she wouldn't take my 14 year old dog anymore because he's too old, and she assumed I would want to take the other dog elsewhere with him. I replied no, I wouldn't necessarily have to take them together, and because of the 2 cancellations, they both- but especially the younger one- really very much needed to be groomed. The Philippines requires the Chlamydia Felis component. I asked them to take half off the medical exam, sell.me the FVRCP at cost and write an apology. So far they refused. So this cost me another vaccine from a different veterinary clinic, another health exam and a month and half of lost time. Im now looking at traveling mid December so an air ticket will cost $2000 instead of a $1000. Im a little upset. For anyone needing a FVRCCP VACCINE Canby Animal Hospital and Abiqua Animal Clinic in Silverton have them. We have been boarding our cats with Jim & Nancy for about 8 years now…read more They are simply the best. They are very careful to ensure they have all the information about each pet. Insist on all vaccines up to date and flea treatment. They are willing to go well beyond basic care treating each pet with the same love and attention the owners provide. This past boarding we had to board our 18 year old cat Bruno who is quite medically fragile with kidney disease. For two weeks Nancy and Jim gave him care above and beyond. He actually gained weight while he was boarded. We are so grateful to have Critter Nanny for our pets.
