Before we first boarded our two beagles I was worried my dog chance would have a hard time because he is a rescue and extremely attached to me (he won't even go on a walk with my husband if I'm not there!) before our trip barb suggested I drop my dogs off for a trial run. They did great and were both tired from playing when they got home. When we went to drop them off before our first trip they jumped out of the car excited to be at doggie daycare! I felt relieved knowing they were in good hands. The few times we've brought our dogs to barb and her family my dogs were excited to be there. They love the at home treatment and so do we!

She gets excited every morning If we ask her if she wants to go see another dog and use it's name or an employee. I had a bad injury a year ago and now although we are down to one income, Many Paws saves our Dogs life. She isn't bored at home all day and going for a day wears her out the next day so she's nice and calm with me. We have never had an issue with Many Paws and were recommended by a friend who used to take her dog there. Great place, a little small but our dog enjoyed it.

I'm posting this now after reflecting on my dog's daycare history over the years, as this was the…read moreonly facility where we had a negative experience. Several years ago, I brought my dog here for daycare. During one drop-off, as I was about to drive off, he was able to bolt out of the facility and ran across the parking lot (in the dark!). Thankfully, a passerby caught him quickly and he was not injured, but this raised serious concerns about supervision and containment during handoff. After that incident, I continued bringing him back to use up pre-paid passes. From that point on, he always refused to leave the car-which made me concerned. Staff later told me he had developed a humping habit and said that if it continued, he would not be able to return. This was difficult to reconcile with what we experienced elsewhere. After we finished our passes, we used another daycare in Beaverton, where he had no issues. Since then, we've moved states a few times and gone to multiple other daycares in different locations, and he has consistently done well without any behavioral concerns. I understand that staff and policies can change over time, so this may not reflect the current operation. However, I think it's important to share past experiences related to safety and how dogs are handled following a stressful incident.

I messed up and had to change the date and they responded with "no problem, we adjusted, look forward to speaking to you." When we finally had our phone consultation both my husband and I fell in love with Ursula's bubbly personality and knowledge. She spoke to us about our dog's issues and made some suggestions for immediate help and then suggested a trainer for anxiety. But we wanted to make sure we could try with her first so we are setting up an in person as we feel she can definitely help us and our dog. They are responsive, understanding and truly care. Ursula listened carefully to our concerns and gave us great suggestions and feedback. So I cannot recommended them highly enough just based on that. BUT I know we will love her when we start training (and I'll definitely update my review!)

Ursula and Dennis, are not only dog whisperers but are easy to communicate with, quick to respond to any questions or concerns and are all around two of the nicest people we've met in Portland. They did not promise a "quick fix" but rather provided us with a foundation of rules and tools to help improve both our lives and Habibi's life. We enrolled Habibi in the Lodge & Learn program, and we could't be happier or more impressed with the results; he came out obedient, confident but still his goofy self. Honestly, we were anxious to to trust someone with our baby for an entire month but after speaking with Ursula on the phone, we felt confident he would be in good hands and that the Lodge and Learn program was the right fit for him. The transition from our home to their place, was the hardest part, but also went flawless and was executed perfectly. Once he was back at their place we constantly got pictures & texts to update us on his progress and they always felt like just a text or phone call away. They have continued to be impactful and available in Habibi's training once he has been home. He continues to grow and improve thanks to their love, training and guidance. The visible changes Habibi has shown speaks volumes to the program they run & the people they are. They have given so much love and attention to our guy & instilled confidence and happiness, and Habibi is truly a BETTER DOG! His ability to listen to commands, walk on a leash without pulling, or simply sitting at a park has brought so much happiness to my family.
