The day prior to the crew coming out to replace the roof, Rick called and provided an estimated time of the crews arrival and walked us through what to expect while the crew was there working. The day of the roof replacement the crew arrived promptly, moved any outdoor furniture / equipment that would possibly get dirty, and put tarps down to catch debris. The crew worked throughout the day (7:30am - 5:30pm) and then cleaned up any debris that did not land in the tarps. The crew gathered all the debris, placed it in a trailer, and neatly secured it so it could be picked up the next day. The next morning a crew member came to check the HVAC in the attic to confirm it was connected and left with the trailer of debris. We did need to clean up debris that had fallen inside the attic but I'm sure that's to be expected with any company. We've had two major storms since our roof replacement and there is absolutely no sign of leaks, etc. We had an excellent experience with 4 Star Roofing and highly recommend their service.

We never had one issue with our new roof and if we need to replace the roof at our new home, we would use them again. Justin was incredibly communicative and accommodating. He checked in before the crew started working and gave me his cell if I had any issues. I felt terrible bothering him, but we had these rose bushes in the front yard and there were a few shingles that had fallen on just one of the the multiple bushes. I just mentioned it to him and it was immediately gone (it wasn't a big deal and they were being as tidy as possible, but the bush was full bloom and I love roses so I wanted to keep as many flowers as possible!)! He didn't seem bothered or agitated and someone on the crew even apologized to me. I had two smaller kiddos I was concerned about them getting hurt after the replacement, but the crew did a great job keeping the mess as organized as possible and they even did a second check, we had no issues at all after the roof was finished being replaced. I thought Justin, his crew, and everyone I encountered with Fair Claims did a great job. Also, my realtor, whose husband owned an appraisal company, referred me to them. Her and her husband both are very particular and she said they did her personal home, as well as many of her clients' homes and they had never had any issues either. They inspected our roof and said we did have hail damage. Our insurance company approved the new roof and they did a great job on the install. They assured us that if we had any problems to just call. We found a piece of a shingle in our backyard and were suspicious that it might be from our roof and called M.L. Court. He was in the neighborhood and said and check. Upon checking Landon thought we might need some sealing on the roof. They did eventually come back and Landon did the sealing. Our roof is a bluish/dark gray color and Landon used a white sealer on the roof! Pictures at the end of this review. Who wants white globs and lines all over your roof! I sent pictures to ML and he assured us it was an easy fix. I told him we wanted to be home when they corrected it. We called a few times and reminded him that we wanted to be home when they corrected the sealing color on the roof. OHe said they were doing this as a courtesy. They have not shown up or returned our messages or calls.

He told me that he'd have the job done in 7 days and that we wouldn't even have to leave our house or move furniture out. They started on a Sunday and we quickly noticed we were going to have issues with the way the work was being done. Our floors were not covered to protect from the constant walking / mud/ paint until 2 days into the job. Our furniture was being covered with plastic "as they were going" and we started to notice they were sanding down ceilings so we asked that he cover all furniture up as the sand/ dust was getting everywhere. I wish he would have listened to our request - we are left with an unfinished house since he went to jail and layers of dust in every inch of our house and furniture. We had to stay at a family members house in order to avoid breathing in the dust - he abandoned the job on day 10 and left us with unfinished ceilings, wall paint and a huge mess. There were multiple times where I'd notice him moving our items and personal belongings such as a brand new bedroom lamp into the living room and using it as a work light without inquiring with me first and damaging it with mud. He then started claiming that he under bid the job and was running out of money quick - he was also complaining about the amount of boxes and things in our house that he had to move to paint. His workers did a great job but they also either stopped showing up or were fired because Corey felt they had an attitude. At this time, we still haven't moved back into our house and it's 3 days before Thanksgiving. I hope this review helps others see the kind of work Corey does and avoid the experience I had and spending money on unreliable people who don't finish their job. I will be reporting him to the BBB and requesting a refund on damaged belongings with the hope that we can recoup something from this job. Update: we had to hire a cleaning company that cost us $1,000 to clean the top layer of dust and make our home livable. At this time, we have a lot of work to do in each room to finish the paint job we paid him for ourselves. We've spent 5 days cleaning our home after the cleaning company came and had to buy an entirely new set of couches, coffee table, bed sheets, lamps and a storage unit for the items we haven't been able to get to. Corey threatened me with putting a Lien on our home right after he got out of jail multiple times. We had to consult with an attorney as well. The least he could do was reimburse us for the damaged furniture and cleaning costs but I doubt we will ever recoup that. My 65+ year old parents should not have to have gone through this. Shaun also took his time to assess/measure the house, take pictures, and send us a true (and very fair!) quote. His guys were out there that week, were very friendly, and the communication was the best I've ever experienced with any contractor we've had. They listened to what we wanted, explained why any changes to the plan needed to be made BEFORE any work was done, and were extremely thorough. They went above and beyond to make sure our house was done right inclusive of repairs and overall look. Shaun came out multiple times to see how the project was going, and also had his project manager Jesse overseeing anything he couldn't. We really appreciated the dedication Jesse and Shaun displayed, especially making sure that their crew slowed down while replacing the front of our home that had the most damage and character. They replaced and reinforced the bones where it was needed, and took the time to preserve the character of the unique look that the face of our house has. We also loved that there was one crew for siding and a different crew for painting instead of a one stop shop as these are different crafts. Mostly, we love coming home what looks like a brand new house. The professionalism, communication, and care was top knotch. It was wonderful to know that a company that puts the customer and the process first still exists - instead of cutting corners while racing to the finish line and moving onto the next. We are sharing our experience to help other homeowners make informed hiring decisions…read more We hired Mike for a master bathroom demolition, framing, and tile project and paid a total of $4,500 in deposits. The demolition and wall framing portions of the project were completed, but the remaining work including tile installation, waterproofing, drywall finishing, trim, and final completion was not. During the project, the contractor was involved in an accident while hauling debris from our job. Based on the circumstances that followed, including his indication that he would be pursuing compensation for lost wages related to the accident, we no longer had confidence that the project would be completed within a reasonable timeframe. As a result, we decided to terminate the contract and hire another contractor to complete the work. We also disagreed about how much of our deposit had been earned. In our opinion, the completed demolition and framing represented substantially less than half of the overall project value, given the significant amount of specialized work remaining. The contractor maintained that he was entitled to retain the full $4,500 deposit. We were unable to resolve the dispute and are pursuing recovery of the disputed funds. Based on our experience, we recommend using milestone-based payments tied to completed work rather than paying substantial deposits in advance. We also recommend having a clear written agreement describing how deposits will be handled if a project cannot be completed.

In the wake of Houston's July hurricane, good contractors were hard to find. The guys at Renewing Stucco fixed all the ceilings, Sheetrock, baseboard damage throughout the house and even touched up a few other bits and pieces around the house. Their repairs are seamless and you now cannot tell where the damage was. They were professional, staggeringly fast, and cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. I had imagined that the repairs would take a couple of weeks, but they were done in 5 days!!!! I would highly recommended them for any repair projects you have in mind.

There is now one board up, my fridge & Grill & furniture are inside, my gas line was left uncapped, & I had to stop payment on $4K w/ my banker (they since returned my check for shredding) & lug their crow bar & large paint bucket w/ equipment in it down to the curbside for them. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THEM. Completely unprofessional. I have wasted an entire day & have to find someone to get this mess sorted.
