They have money and they are using it to keep it beautiful and keep it growing. Sometimes they will have fundraisers and auctions to keep their funds going, but they seem to be doing okay. They are working on a market for antiques and crafts that might happen every weekend on Main Street, recruiting new businesses in the area, support for current businesses, a marketing campaign for promoting coming to Over the Rhine on weekends, working towards preserving current buildings, and working on renovations. They also do a lot of work with youth growing up in Over the Rhine and the quality of their organization. They do a lot of good things and are really succeeding in what they've started out to do. Cheers!

There are SO many services offered here, to begin listing them almost seems like a futile pursuit! I went for job coaching and help with my resume. I have done this twice now, and both times, it has set me up in such a good position that I have gotten a job very shortly after my visit there! The atmosphere of the place is very relaxing, there is a cool little waterfall in the open area, and all of the classrooms and the prayer chapel are all very comfortable. That's a good thing if you find yourself in a position to need help. I would recommend anyone who needs just a little help to stop by here. You will be greeted warmly and will get to sit down with an assessor who will help you figure out what services you need. I'm thankful that I was able to get the help I needed and now that I am able to help others!

It is the best place to volunteer sporadically and they have a lot of open availability. This year I wanted to do something for my birthday, giving back to the community and I was able to organize an event for my friends to get together and do. It was amazing. We hung candy on Christmas trees for A-Kid-Again. And they were nice enough to throw in a tour of the grounds as well, which made it even more special.

Four years ago, Nikki started StarfireU as a shy, silent 21-year-old. Today she enthusiastically led me on a tour of her school. StarfireU is a four-year college geared towards individuals with developmental disabilities. Their goal is to enrich lives through unlimited opportunities that build independence and community inclusion. Students have the opportunity to improve social skills, create art, photography, learn yoga, cook, and everything in between. Many go on to lead independent lives and become involved in the community. I sat in on a seminar where the Senior class discussed their capstone projects. Ideas ranged from documenting Cincinnati murals through photography, to fundraising for homeless advocates, to adapting a play from a favorite book. I was beyond impressed with the initiative and support within these classroom walls. StarfireU has been educating adults with disabilities since 1993. Over the years, it has grown from a single classroom to a state-of-the-art facility with computers, roundtable classrooms, and dry erase walls. They're always open to working with volunteers around the community, so if you're in need of a smile and a life-changing opportunity, get involved here!

The facilities are clean and well kept. They do an amazing job caring for my sister who has been there since 2002, in addition to Day Program. When our mother died suddenly, St. Joseph Home went above and beyond to provide support for both of us. They held my hand as I applied for guardianship, assisted with the transition and have been in constant communication regarding my sisters care. As her legal guardian, I have peace of mind knowing that my sister has the very best care around the clock from people I know and trust. They are very open to feedback and consistently reach out about day to day activities, health changes, ideas, and more. I'm grateful for the level of care & home they have made for Rachel. I'm truly thankful for the work these special people do daily.

The oldest fine arts fund in the United States, the Fine Arts Fund has been serving the cultural needs of this region for over 80 years. The primary responsibilities of this organization are to fund and support local artistic and cultural endeavors, through services such as marketing, fundraising, board development, and other administrative functions. The goals of the Fund are to raise money in the workplace for arts, foster excellence through support of regular programming, and minimize the disparity between ticket/admission price and actual costs of producing programs. Their campaign in 2007 raised over $11.7 million making it the #1 united arts fund in the country. What is so impressive about this number is that over half of the contributions came from individuals in the workplace. Keep up the great work of keeping the arts alive in Cincinnati.
