This company said they needed a deposit which I had no problem with as they assured me it was refundable. That was a total Lie they set us up right away on a payment plan and said they needed money to go over the plans with us I told them at that time I was not yet sure who I was going to go with and again they assured me that it was refundable. Again that was a lie they had locked me into a contract and were actively charging me for services even with no deal in place and knowing that we were still looking for the best deal. Well it turns out we went with a different company that is building a unit twice the size for half the cost. and now this company is claiming they can't refund my money because they have already spent it on paying there employees. This is not good business other company's bidding on this have charged me nothing. and done just as much. if you are looking at this company for building don't pay them a dime until you are absolutely sure that you are going to use them. they will Lie to you thought the hole process. James Sanders Is as dishonest as they come. He acts very nice and professional and makes you feel like he cares but he will Lie to you to get your money and really that is all he cares about. He even told me that Murray city would not allow the plans we already had and tried to get us in a much smaller unit which would not work for my Daughter. That is the plans we are going with and there has been no problem getting the City to approve them. Beware they are real jerks if you choose not to go with them. And they will steal your money for nothing.

Tim recently completed a home addition project for us in Summit Park, Utah. When we set out to…read moreaccomplish our dream house project, we knew we needed somebody that we could trust to get the job done but also someone who could really add to and make our vision a reality. Because of our home's challenging mountain environment we wanted somebody that had the experience and education that could build a modern energy-efficient, comfortable home that would last for generations. Tim's knowledge, care, and communication amazed us from day one. Most importantly his passion matched and at times exceeded ours throughout the build. His care for our budget and the time he spent to find alternatives was instrumental in finishing the project. Tim's expertise in both the big picture and the small minute detail was evident from our first conversation, and continued to the completion of the project. His extensive knowledge led to numerous ideas that made our project better than we possibly could imagine. His communication method which included daily updates on a user friendly app were much appreciated and really put us to ease that the project was moving forward. Tim was a true pleasure to work with and went above and beyond with his expertise and utmost care in handling the entire project. We are already planning in the future to work with him again!

Our love of design, modern architecture, and clean aesthetics was embraced and matched by Tim. He not only honored all of our design goals of building a beautiful, passive house addition, but he became someone we completely trusted. Tim understood the aspects of working in the mountains and the obstacles that may come from that. We started the project with a major issue- flooding in our crawlspace from spring runoff. Instead of masking the problem with sump pumps, Tim found where the water was backing up and provided a complete solution. While this is not something you see when you look at the completed project, this is one of the highlights for us because this is a lifelong solution which will no longer be a yearly issue for us. Tim recommended siding that we absolutely love, he designed custom window bucks to match our aesthetic, and he meticulously thought out each element. Nothing was done in the building process "just because." Everything had a specific reason, and Tim took the time to thoroughly explain it all. Tim has an acute attention to detail, and if he doesn't know something immediately, he will by the next morning. I am so thankful we trusted our project with Apres Build. To me, one of the most important traits to have is trust. With Tim, we 100% trusted his opinion, his word, and his incredible craftsmanship. We would absolutely work with him again.

I was told they would be fixed. Instead the paint tape I used to show the issues were just removed. I was lied to and told everything was ready to go and I was coming from Idaho so it's not like I had time to check. For the last year I've had to beg Fielstone warranty to fix these issues. They tried 3 separate times to fix these issues, lied to me because they think I'm a just a single woman who they can deceive and tried to say I never pointed out anything prior to closing. They wasted so much of my time and engery over all this instead of just doing the job right the first time. The different departments/contraxtors then blamed each other. I was told this is just how new homes are even though not one other house in my neighborhood had these issues and they built all of them. In the end, I had to threaten to get an attorney involved. Some of the issues were fixed but I just get to live with the rest. Other than ripping out the trim, there is nothing to do. I have sent close to 50 emails to them in the year since I closed on this house over these and other issues. The last email was completely ignored as far as ever scheduling anyone to come out. Every person I have talked to in this neighborhood feels like they have been ripped off. These houses are built poorly. They charge so much for any upgrade it's ridiculous. The materials are so bad and even with upgrades it's still for poor quality. My house value is down at least 50k since one year ago because no one is buying their homes in this neighborhood anyway. I would never build with these guys again.

We like the house, but the builders made several mistakes. For example, before installing the…read morecarpet, they didn't clean the debris on the floors, leaving dust throughout the house. We didn't discover this issue until we removed the carpet. They also left significant construction gaps in the garage and used the cheapest insulation in the attic. As a result, the house was not only under-insulated but also poorly built with low-quality materials that lacked essential anti-rodent treatments. This led to a serious infestation of mice, which entered the house through the construction gaps and built numerous nests in the subpar insulation. To address the problem, I had to spend $12,000 to remove the inadequate insulation, sanitize the entire attic, and install rodent-repellent insulation. The frustrating part is that they could have spent just $2,000 more on higher-quality materials and done a better job constructing the garage, avoiding this mess entirely. The closer I look at the house, the more flaws I find, highlighting how much they cut corners by using cheap materials. I paid over half a million dollars for this home--it wasn't a budget house. I'm deeply annoyed and frustrated with their poor craftsmanship and lack of care.
