After he spent an hour here, he told me it costs $100 for a roof bid. He said they don't give bids because people should feel comfortable with them based on reviews. How are you supposed to compare quality of materials, etc. without a bid? Don't ever hire anyone without a written bid!! Anyway, he also said they work with the insurance company directly and will get them to pay for everything. Well, every roofing company works with the insurance company and no insurance company will pay for a roof upgrade. I talked to the owner and he confirmed that it costs $100 for a roof bid. He said it was on the news (KOAA, KKTV or KRDO. I don't remember which one) so I should have known. I could have saved both of us an hour of our time. Again, never pay for a bid. He also confirmed the rest of what Cody said. I think it's a weird way to do business but now I'll go elsewhere on solar, too. Also, the owner bad-mouthed another long time roofing company in Pueblo during our conversation. Bad form. Pueblo is still a small town. Finally and most important, I had bids from a total of two companies and the bid and final cost from In-Phase was $1,620 less than the first bid. I believe the first electrician was trying to take advantage of this older person.
