Power went off in half my home on New Year's Eve. Their website said if I called by 8pm they would come out. I called at 4:30 and they were at my house shortly after 5pm. Jason Tse was my tech and he explained their down payment and charges. I was given 3 quotes each for the difficulty of the repair. I knew it was going to be expensive. I signed to continue the work. Who else could I get at 5pm on New Year's Eve? Jason went to work trying to locate the source. He checked the breaker box, voltage and nothing was pinpointing the cause. Jason really wanted to find and fix the problem before the night was out. And back to work Jason went. He isolated the problem around 8pm after checking the lines in the attic and each room. I told him I'd like to finish up by 9 and continue after New Year's Day. Jason wanted to work until everything was fixed. He finished around 10:30 and during that time we had some lively conversations. Jason I would give 5 stars. I thought the pricing was a bit high but considering the day and the time I guess it was appropriate. I was given a folder that explained the different things they did like plumbing, garage doors etc. I was pleased that they did emergency calls, were very prompt, carefully explained everything, Jason wore booties while in the house, did a great job cleaning. Big thanks to William, Tristen, and Jason of Awesome Home Services! They did great work tag-teaming my job right before a holiday weekend: a sudden leak which damaged our laundry room ceiling with waste water. Tristen opened the ceiling and found a failed tub waste and overflow drain assembly leaking when used. He cut and removed the failed section and installed a new tub waste and overflow in pvc. He verified the drain repair was working correctly and that there were no leaks on any connections for the drain repair. Next he removed the failed shower valve assembly (which required cutting in to the shower tile) and installed a Delta single handle shower valve with remodel plate (a welcome upgrade to our 70s era plate). He tested for leaks on the connections and then caulked all the shower trim. While in the laundry room, William and Jason noticed wet flooring under our toilet. They discovered the toilet's wax seal appeared to have been leaking for a while and recommended a restoration company that could evaluate the flooring. In the meantime, they removed the toilet and capped the toilet flange to prevent sewer gasses from getting into our home. Important to note: Unlike other companies, Awesome provides a two-year parts and labor warranty. I will definitely call these guys for future home repairs. They were all very nice and professional. They were patient with me and explained everything they were doing and why. I also very much appreciated their team approach to resolving problems. They were licensed and insured, and there was a clear system of mentorship between the more experienced technician and his co-workers. Wonderful to see with a local business. We hired Awesome to help fix a broken pipe in our back yard. We had no water in our kitchen while we waited for someone to come out. We were interested in them based off of their great reviews, but I did not find our experience as positive as others. While everyone we spoke to and worked with was nice, and they technically did what we needed them to do, our experience was overall confusing and frustrating, and left us with more things in need of repair. I wouldn't feel comfortable hiring them again. First off was the confusing communication. We were constantly having to contact the workers to come work on the yard, and had no idea of their timeline because it was constantly changing. I understand that contracted workers have multiple jobs going on at once, but it felt like there were so many jobs they didn't have time for us. No one explained the timeline or what we could expect. They almost didn't finish the job, and about a week went by with us contacting them multiple times that we were finally able to get them to come back. That was when things got broken. Aside from the expected amount of digging, there was extensive additional damage to our property. They broke all of our flagstones and destroyed our sprinkler system, and they are not going to cover the cost. The damage to the grass was expected, as was the damage where the digger had to go. I didn't see the paperwork, but there was apparently some disclaimer that said they wouldn't cover the cost to repair anything, which feels like it gives them license to be reckless with their work. I don't know, it didn't sit right with me. Finally, it took repeatedly contacting them to try and get our insurance forms filled out (the job was over $8500). And the work isn't going to be covered by our insurance because it wasn't a main water pipe. That isn't necessarily Awesome's fault, but it adds another layer of frustration to this entire ordeal. We now have to pay the cost of the work they did plus the cost to replace our sprinkler system and broken flagstones. read more

I called Awesome Home Services after finding water dripping from my ceiling in our finished basement. Preston showed up in about an hour and knew what he was doing. He checked multiple sources inside and out for possible leaks but found nothing. He determined that he would have to cut the dry wall but kept the hole as small as possible. He was able to find the leak immediately and fix it quickly. He even called a restoration specialist to come and assess any damage the leak may have caused. Preston was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He was kind to my children and wore shoe protectors when entering my home. Preston saved the day and I am thrilled with his work. I couldn't leave a separate review for the other quality work I received a few days later but I wanted to recognize, Jason B. And Michael T. Who installed our water softener. They had another gentleman with them and I'm so sorry I can't remember his name. He answered all of my questions politely and the three of them together took care of the project quickly and did excellent work. Did not find what was wrong. Received a quote for $1800 and then recommended new furnace for approximately $8,000. Got a second opinion...and inducer motor was cleared of water, flu unclogged, fan wire reattached to circuit board and furnace working for $345. Awesome Home quoted replacing flu, inducer assembly, and circuit board and stated heat exchanger showing deep heat stress...asking if we had carbon monoxide detectors. Have images from closing inspection three months ago to reasonably prove Awesome Home technician cracked our circuit board and snapped off a screw attempting to reattach a wire for fan. Will not call Awesome Home Services again. read more

He found the hidden carbon monoxide detector that was going off and replaced the batteries and reinstalled my fire alarms.
