I talked with several plumbing companies, most them wanted to re-attempt snaking, which I had already done twice with no result. If that didn't work then they would use the hydro jet high-pressure washer to attempt to clear. Our house being 60+ years old I did not want to risk the hydro-jetting, which could severely damage the piping under the slab, until the line was cleared. What I really needed was to know if I had a cleanout on the main sewer line where it exits the house and those companies wanted a additional large sum of money to use a camera with a locating sensor only after the line was cleared and flowing. We had used Mr Rooter in the past (before purchasing the 50' snake machine) so I called and asked them to have their most experienced tech call me. Albert called me back, he actually still had me as a contact in his phone after many years, and we discussed the situation and decided on a plan. Albert came out and used his camera and locator from the main roof vent to locate the blockage and where the main line exited the house. They tried the longest snake machine they could lift on the roof but it would not reach the blockage. Since they could not clear the blockage Albert said there was a 30 day warranty on the callout and that if I could find the existing cleanout or dig the line out and install one, he would come back and re-run the snake from there and clear it. I found the cleanout and Albert came back, ran the snake and cleared the blockage and ran his camera thru the lines to make sure it was clear and had no damage or remaining issues. Albert is very knowledgeable and friendly, explained things well and is a very skilled camera technician, the charges were reasonable and fair. Overall a fantastic experience and will continue to use Mr Rooter if problems arise again!

I contacted Jasper's Plumbing for a second opinion after another plumbing company performed a…read morecamera inspection and claimed we had three broken sewer lines under our slab, with 75% blockage from tree roots from the exterior line to the city main. Their estimate--if I handled the slab demo myself--was $17,500 just to reinstall pipe, without backfill. They would not release the camera footage. After speaking with a general contractor, I was facing a projected $50-75k total cost and being displaced from our home for 5-9 months. Understandably stressed, I called Jasper's and explained the situation to Mitch, requesting a second opinion. They came out the very next day and performed a full camera inspection. What they found was completely different: no tree roots, no broken lines, no disintegration--just two minor low spots (gulleys) in the line. Importantly, they explained this was not an emergency and did not require immediate repair. Jasper's took the time to walk us through multiple honest options, including: -Leaving the line as-is with no immediate action -Addressing the low spots as preventative maintenance -Replacing only the cast iron sections beneath areas we're already remodeling (kitchen, bathrooms, laundry) As a comparison, they quoted $750 to replace the full section under one bathroom (including P-traps) once demolition is complete--a fraction of the original quote. They also explained that if full replacement were ever needed, they could bore under the house and access connection points without tearing up floors or displacing us until we were ready. The emotional relief was overwhelming. The fear and anxiety caused by the first company were immense--I was up at 3 AM searching for alternatives when I found Jasper's mentioned on a Reddit forum. I submitted an inquiry through their website at 4 AM and received a call back as soon as business opened. They were onsite the next day. I cannot express how grateful I am to work with an honest, knowledgeable, and transparent company. Huge thanks to Mitch, Joe, and Cash for showing up promptly, conducting a thorough inspection, and clearly explaining every option--without pressure or scare tactics. If you take anything from this review: always get a second opinion and be present during inspections. Jasper's Plumbing restored my faith that trustworthy contractors still exist. Highly, highly recommend.

They had to come back and fix it...and we were told it would be a small fee to fix the drain...He wasn't even here an hour and our "small fee" was $642 dollars! They charged us for two supply lines that they didn't even leave with us for the faucet installation. May want to check with other plumbers that are more honest.
