I began losing weight this summer after my annual medical exam revealed hyper tension, high…read morecholesterol, and obesity. Initially 230 lbs, I removed certain medications, made diet adjustments, and regular walks. I was able to shed pounds...massive amounts of weight. And it was brutal, because the cravings were tugging me into breaking my new regimen. Also, I work in a rather shitty industry (I babysit CEOs of failing companies), where the stress levels can send you to the hospital if not directly to the morgue. By the time I reached the 182 lbs, somewhere in September, my knees stopped hurting, I could walk 2 miles without passing out, and dropped from stage 3 hypertension to barely below stage 1. I had loose skin and remaining fat hanging on my back and midsection, that still made it uncomfortable to bend down and tie my shoes. Also my shitty job didn't allow me to take PTO so, I needed a clinic to operate on a weekend. DR. Khan and his team ticked the boxes, and after researching liposuction and watching YouTube videos on the procedure, I decided to book an appointment. The Weehawken location is cute. I love the Edgewater area. It is a relaxing, clean, brand new neighborhood right on the water. The procedure is local anesthesia and it took no more than two hours. It began at 8 am and i was home by 10.30 am. And the area treated was large, so it is amazing Dr. Khan did it in such short time. You are given pasties and a pair of disposable underwear. The doctor marks the areas that need to be treated. Then you are laid down on the operating table, and incisions are made for the cannula to enter. The operation was manageable, some areas were more painful than others, and it depends on the person. The Valium helped a lot along with more sedatives. It is a very safe procedure and it goes very fast. There are no open wounds. The incisions heal quickly and you are given an adequate amount of antibiotics two weeks prior to the surgery. Make sure you follow the doctor's advice like the Bible. I did, and I'm healing well. They will give you Oxycodone for post surgery pain. I did not need it at all. I think that if the surgeon is excellent, there is no need of pain killers. That's how I knew I had made the right decision. Besides the soreness and the discomfort, I was able to manage without opiates. Also, wearing faja will drastically alleviate the pain. I had a protein rich diet, with zinc and vitamin c, absolutely no carbs, and one week after the operation I was feeling great. I did not develop bumps or odd wrinkles on the treated areas. It is the midsection of a former obese woman, but I am kind to myself and did not expect a 6 pack to pop out. I am grateful to be able to tie my shoes and being able to walk and do chores around the house instead of living in a pigsty ridden with empty vodka bottles and pizza boxes. The lipo really motivated me to cook at home, control portions, take care of myself, really evaluate what I want in my life/career, and tell my boss to fuck off. Go to Dr. Khan for lipo and follow his team's advice to the T.

I was in pain after this session and my coworkers and patients saw the boil on my upper lip after leaving this place. As a healthcare provider myself, I find any doctor that doesn't take a patient complaint seriously very sketchy.

For my first laser appointment ever, everyone at the new Hoboken Laseraway location made me feel…read moresuper comfortable. The front desk ladies (so sorry I didn't catch your names!) were super friendly and informative. They let you know of other packages and savings, but obviously if it's not something you want, don't do it. Lauren who did the actual laser was also so nice and we chatted the whole time which also made me feel more comfortable. She did frequent check ins to see how I was feeling. For 99% of the areas I got done (full legs, full Brazilian, armpits, and happy trail) it just felt like cold air being blasted on you. The other 1% was the more sensitive areas of the Brazilian and like one inch on the shins, and it really just felt like little pin pricks- not bad at all. Keep in mind everyone has a different pain tolerance though. If you submit a request online for more info, yes, a salesperson will call you. Yes, their job is to get business. But if you decide it's not the time for you, you absolutely can say no (I didn't, cause I wanted it!!). Read the contract, pay the full amount in time (or before!!) and you'll be fine. As far as results, I will have to update my review since it was my only first time, but I can say the place is clean and chic, and my skin actually feels a lot smoother walking out than it did walking in. Again, this review is based only on my first visit, but I'm excited to go back in 6 weeks for round 2! (Also the "reviews not currently recommended" are helpful. Not sure why yelp doesn't show them) Update: it took almost 3 weeks to start seeing the hair fall out (I was getting a little nervous), but it did!! I pretty much have have chronic ingrown hairs/razor burn but my skin is like silk after I shave now (which- I've gone 4-5 days without touching my armpits and there's barely anything, so I'm not shaving frequently). I'm sooo excited for the rest of the journey as I'm having good results already:)

I have always loved LaserAway and have had positive experiences with the majority of your team members, who have consistently been kind, professional, and accommodating. Unfortunately, my interactions with "Bri" have been the complete opposite and have significantly impacted my overall experience with your company. I have found her behavior to be rude, intimidating, unprofessional, and, at times, genuinely hurtful. The way she has spoken to me has made me extremely uncomfortable and has even brought me to tears. Additionally, there have been repeated issues with appointments being mishandled, which has added to my frustration. I expect to be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism whenever I visit a business in which I have invested so much of my time and money. As an educator with over 21 years of experience, I understand the importance of communication, interpersonal skills, and treating people with dignity and respect. I have rarely encountered someone whose behavior has made me feel as uncomfortable as Bri's has. Her conduct does not reflect the standard of customer service I have come to associate with LaserAway. I want to emphasize that my concerns are specifically about my experiences with this individual and are not a reflection of the rest of your team. I truly appreciate the many wonderful staff members at your Clifton location, which is why this situation has been so upsetting. I have spent thousands of dollars on services with LaserAway, and it is incredibly disappointing to have my loyalty to the company overshadowed by repeated negative interactions with one employee. At this point, I am seriously questioning whether I will continue my services with LaserAway. I do not believe a loyal customer should have to feel intimidated, disrespected, or anxious about interacting with a staff member when coming in for an appointment. I am requesting that management take these concerns seriously and look into both "Bri's conduct" and the recurring appointment issues. I would welcome the opportunity to speak directly with someone in management to discuss my experiences in greater detail and to understand what steps can be taken to address this situation. I hope LaserAway will take this feedback as an opportunity to ensure that every customer receives the respectful, professional, and welcoming experience the company strives to provide. I would appreciate a response from management regarding this matter. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to hearing from you.

I've had many different technicians over the years, some better than others but all of them are professional when doing the treatments. The front desk staff in particular provides great customer service and are very easy to contact when I need to schedule or reschedule an appointment. I've had laser on most of my body and now I only need to go every couple of months for maintenance since some areas do grow back due to hormones. They use Cynosure laser and this has been very effictive for my skin. Getting laser was the best investment since I really don't ever have to worry about shaving anymore. They always have different promotions available so the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place if you're interested in laser hair removal.

One is, so I can't even book until I provide a doctor's note. I could've done that weeks ago, and I would've just bought a 50% off package with the holiday deals and booked my first session if I didn't need to first come in for a 3 minute consult. The front desk staff was nice (though I have no clue what their names were because no one introduced themselves) and I was seen on time, so two stars for that, but three stars off for wasting my time. I've been preparing for weeks to begin laser treatments - no waxing, no sun, only shaving, etc., and now I'm unsure whether I should bother going back or find a different provider. UPDATE: Following my consultation, I received an email soliciting my feedback. I provided it and expressed that I had a poor experience during my consultation but remained interested in purchasing a package and working with a different specialist. No one acknowledged or responded. It now seems I'll be purchasing services elsewhere since Laser Spa doesn't care enough to earn my business with a simple response to an email. The location really is convenient and I prepared for many weeks for the treatments, so this is highly disappointing.
