I still felt pressured into agreeing because I was told they needed to check for possible problems, which caused me unnecessary anxiety as a parent. At the end of the visit, I was told my child didn't need any fillings or extractions. I was still charged $539 for a first visit that included multiple X-rays, an exam, a cleaning, and fluoride. I was shocked by the cost and did not feel that the necessity of all these services or the total price was explained clearly beforehand. If you are paying out of pocket, ask for a written estimate before any treatment and ask exactly which procedures are truly necessary. I will not be returning.

My daughter was nervous at first, but because of their demeanor, my daughter relaxed to let them do their full check up without crying. I was so proud of my daughter for being brave. She was really nervous and Dr Eliott and Haley had put her at ease. Dr Eliott answered all my questions and gave us helpful tips on how to care for our daughter's teeth. We are so happy with the quality of care my daughter receives by everyone at this clinic, from the front desk staff to the hands on health care providers. I wish my dentist was just as friendly, efficient, kind, gentle and knowledgeable as Dr Eliott and Dr Molina.

My daughter was so nervous about going to the dentist, but was welcomed in the doors to a nature safari like scene. She immediately started playing with the other kids and had to be pried away from the games when it was her turn to be seen. The office was clean and upscale. I was so excited to see that they took really great care of these little people they service. The assistants and Dentist made my daughter feel comfortable and explained everything they were going to do. My daughter then allowed them to go into her mouth. She received a full exam and cleaning in a matter of minutes. My daughter loved the toothbrush kit they gave her as she left and of course she wanted to return to the toys. I moved shortly after and needed documentation for her school program. I contacted the office and received what I needed via email in a matter of minutes! I love this dentistry. We had a noon appointment but I showed up late because I thought the appointment was for 12:30 but they were super accommodating and very understanding. The waiting room is super cool with a hot tea coffee section, mini fridge of water, arcade games, a flat screen tv that was playing frozen 2, a shelf full of kids books as well as lots of seating and a kids table for the little ones to read. Lots of polar bears and penguins all throughout the office decorations (and some moose!). The theme of the office I think were walrus, penguin polar bear and moose? Very cute. They even had beanie baby type toys with magnetic hands hanging from above the dental chair area. Melissa the dental hygienist(?) was great with my daughter (she let her pick out her toothpaste flavor and we went with birthday cake) and Dr Dave was great as well. They both took the time to explain everything and were just super pleasant. They asked lots of questions and were very thorough and chill. I was amazed at how well behaved my kid was. She loved her experience and wanted to go back after we left the office. It is so cute how they provide sunglasses instead of the usual eye protection at the dentist. And the tv screen on the ceiling didn't hurt either! We left with a goody bag and they even let my daughter pick out 2 toys because she did so well. They have multiple hanging baskets on the back wall of different types of toys for all ages. It was a fantastic introduction for us on our quest for our new pediatric dentist!

My…read more3 y/o had a dental emergency, suffering from a rear tooth that split in half; she was in a lot of pain, which we told the staff and that we had x-rays on hand provided by her assigned dental clinic. I drove 1.5 hours there and was greeted by a rude, sloppy woman behind the desk. I had to fill out paperwork that we had completed online the day prior. After x-rays and a brief discussion with the dentist, they informed me that it was something they could not handle at their practice, despite having told us it was a standard issue they addressed. To make matters worse, my wife called requesting a referral to other pediatric dental facilities. She was ridiculed by the staff and insulted as a mother for asking for a referral. This was the second facility (the first was Firehouse Dental Pediatrics), where they promised treatment, took x-rays, and did not follow through. It was an insurance scam that exhausted our emergency dental benefits and eventually cost us $800.00 at a pediatric dental clinic in Durham, which, if I recall the name, I highly recommend. Fuquay Pediatric Dentistry is a joke; the staff is rude, incompetent, and unorganized.

I've been to the office a few times now between the 3 of my children. The waiting room itself is…read moreextremely kid-friendly (understandably so). There are two x-boxes available and various toys for children of all ages to play with. There is also a Keurig station for the adults. Thankfully we have never been in the waiting room long. When you walk to the back it leads you to an open room with four dental chairs and ceiling to floor windows. It was so bright with natural light and the decor was so cute. There is also a hallway that has 4 rooms with doors "mommy/daddy and me" rooms for the younger ones. I have also been in one of these rooms with my son who was 18 months old at the time and once again extremely kid friendly. There were plenty of toys and a fire station "dollhouse" for him to play with. He actually did not want to leave! The service provided by the hygienist and Dr. Hardin were top notch! They were both sooooo gentle and nice. They talked to my 6-year-old the entire time they were working on her teeth and let her know step by step what was happening and what to expect next so no surprises for her. Dr. Hardin was also gentle with me in explaining things we could do as parents to improve the health of her our children's teeth. It's natural to feel a little guilty but no mom-shaming here. Gentle and encouraging. They also gave my daughter information (which is better received from the doctor than mom and dad) about the importance of brushing and flossing. There is a wall the child can put his/her name on if they are cavity-free which is a good incentive. Also, they get a coin to get a prize from the machines up front after their visit (she got a bouncy ball). Of course you get a swag bag with a new toothbrush of your choice, toothpaste and I think stickers. She also got a t-shirt (4 bright colors to choose from) for it being her first time there. Her experience was great! The front desk staff is also wonderful. They work with me to find a time that works with my schedule and allows me to get 2 of them in at the same time. They also explain my bill in detail so I know what to expect, insurance payments vs patient responsibility etc. Overall this is just an awesome dentist office. I sure wish I could be a patient!

I contacted the Autism Society of NC and they provided a list of dentists in the area that specialize in this. Duke Street Pediatric was on the list and also came highly recommended from an orthodontist that I know. My son banged his front teeth and there was discoloration so I was worried about possible infection or damage. I was able to get into Duke Street the next day and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. The office is on the 2nd floor and there is a nautical and water theme. They have a very happy reception area with an aquarium, video games, stuffed pillows and lots of things to do. We were taken into an operatory room with a door (vs the open settings I have seen at other pediatric offices). The hygienists were AMAZING and asked a few questions and then we discussed how to approach the appointment. My son isn't one to lay down on the chair on his own so we did get him on the chair and did the exam and cleaning. We were then seen by Dr. Martha Ann Keels and she is the legendary dentist that opened this practice. She has a very calm demeanor and did a great job with our son. She has been doing this for 42 years and is an academic and is simply stellar at what she does. She lectures on special needs dentistry and is really a pioneer in her field. I felt so relieved when we learned that we didn't need any major work and that my son did well in this new setting at the dentist. Thank you to the team for making the visit so smooth and accessible and we will be back in 6 months for our next cleaning! I highly recommend for those looking for a safe space with special needs.
