I'm not sure there is a place in Tulsa that has more friendly and helpful people than those that work here. They never talk down to new brewers and give in-depth explanations on brewing and brewing techniques. Many new people who may want to start brewing feel intimidated (like me) to ask knowledgeable people questions. Go to this place and you won't have to worry. Impressive place and people. This is pretty much the place to go for brewing supplies. It's the only place to get most things you'll need. The guys are very knowledgeable, and are my first stop each holiday season, as I prepare to make Ginger Beer. Quick Tip- Champagne Yeast is not called Champagne yeast anymore- but it's still in the same little yellow packets, so don't be afraid. Good job guys- cheers! read more

Very good wine kit selections, products from ~$60 9 quick 4 weeks kits) to ~$250( for 8 week kit made to age awhile) for some of the better ones. Fresh beer ingredients with kits you can buy or you can bring an recipe which they can fill for you. The owners do know a lot about making both beer and wine and they are willing to answer any question. They rarely do not have the answer for you. They must be good people to work for as well since their employees seem to be very helpful and seem to enjoy working there and want to help you. You can't be steered wrong there. read more

If you have ever considered brewing your own beer or wine (or both like me), High Gravity is the place. Dave and Desiree (the owners) are some nice and helpful folk and are almost always at the shop. They have a great selection of malts and go through it pretty fast, so they are fresh. One of the best things about the shop are the prices. They are almost always cheaper than anything else on the web. If you order from their web site, they offer brew bucks to help offset shipping. Go on Saturday around 11am for a free class on beer or wine making (it alternates weekends). I went to the wine class and it was informative, you get to drink homemade wine (which has really improved over the last decade) and each person gets a free bottle of wine just for being there. This a great place to get your brewing supplies. The staff is ultra friendly and will help you buy just the right item. My boyfriend brews beer, wine and mead. So he's always in need of new supplies. With Christmas right around the corner, I thought I'd stop by and get a wine corker and a beer tee-shirt for him. The gentlemen staff were quite helpful and even talked me out of a commercial supply item we didn't need.
