I was beyond thrilled with the outstanding customer service I received from Thad. I called yesterday to discuss a gun safe that could not be opened. Thad was out here this morning with everything to open the large safe. Excellent communication, thorough follow up, prompt service, and one very, very happy customer! I cannot recommend this company enough. I know you will be thrilled with the service as well. I felt very safe dealing with Thad and the issue that required his service. Corey has a serious attitude problem. It is obvious that he does not care. He also tries to pretend he is the owner of the business when he is just the owners son. I would NOT recommend this business. I would recommend Prescott Lock and Safe. read more

I was in need of a replacement key for my 2014 Honda CRV and neither Prescott Honda nor C-4 Auto Detail, to whom Prescott Honda referred me, had the exact key I needed (turns out the key for a 2014 CRV is unique to that year). But C-4 suggested I try High Desert Lock and Safe and wonder of wonders, they had what I needed. Cory took care of things in short order and I was on my way in no time. I spent 2 hours in the sun lodging coat hangers and metal rods into my car window after I locked my keys inside. Finally bit the bullet and called a locksmith. Other locksmiths I called had robots telling me they couldn't help. High Desert Lock and Safe answered after one ring and was at my car in 15 minutes. They spent 30 seconds opening my car with friendly expertise for less than half the cost I was expecting. Next time, I won't waste a second before I 'pick' them for help. 100% would recommend to anyone who needs their services. read more

9/26/25 Wow, what a great experience. Cory is so knowledgeable and we have used him before, that's why we went back. We had to get an extra key & fob for our 2013 Fiat 500C. He ordered it in for us and then called us a few days later and had us bring our vehicle over so he could program the remote & cut the key, and then he tested it in our car and ofcourse it worked perfectly. We will tell everyone about him. Service, quality, price and excellent communication was outstanding. Thanks again Cory. AL and Trish read more

While at the car wash, I was vacuuming out my vehicle, and somehow pushed the lock button and locked my keys and cell phone in the vehicle. I went inside the office, called my insurance company, and after spending about 40 minutes on the phone with them debating whether or not I have lockout service. I hung up and called, this wonderful company. Thad answered the phone and told me that Corey was be in the area, on his way to an emergency call. He called and intercepted him, diverted him to my location, and Corey had that vehicle open within seconds. He then made me a duplicate key for me to hide in the outside of my vehicle. Their phone number is now in my contact list just in case I ever need service again I highly recommend these guys. They are absolutely awesome. read more

We had our new home re-keyed with High Desert. They were able to service us on the date we wanted, came on time and the price was reasonable. We had one lock which we didn't have a key for but that was no problem. The locksmith was very knowledgeable telling us about the type and quality of the locks - we were happy to hear that the home had a high quality, higher-end front door lock! He also provided tips for not accidentally locking ourselves out through the self lock features of some of the doors. read more

First of all, I looked at Yelp for reviews on locksmiths, and High Desert had good ratings - and they also had the opportunity to contact them through the Yelp portal. So I did just that, asking about having our locks rekeyed due to a recent move here. I figured I'd be doing well to hear something back within the week. Less than an hour later, Brooklyn emailed me and said they would be very pleased to help us with our needs, they certainly could do the rekeying, gave me a dollar figure per lock and advised that some doors have more than one lock (deadbolt and handset, for example) so to factor that in when determining a price, and to please call if I wanted to make an appointment. I went ahead and called and she was as pleasant and helpful on the phone as she had been via email. We set a time for 10 am a couple days later. About ten minutes til 10 am, I got a phone call from Thad, letting me know he was on his way, it would be about 20 or so minutes. Perfect! I had not ASKED for a call, but was pleased at this level of customer service! Thad arrived in due time and looked at all the doors/locks (12 locks total) and advised me again of the cost, and we gave the go-ahead. In less than an hour, he had all those cylinders out, cleaned, rekeyed, and re-installed, 6 keys made including 2 "original" Quikset key blanks, and a "master" key which he said would make it easier in the future to rekey the locks if necessary. He explained what all he had done and why. The price was as agreed upon, the house was left as clean as it was when he arrived, and Thad also gave us some good advice on other work we were considering. I would not hesitate to call High Desert Lock and Safe again for any future needs. Very impressed with the service! read more

Cory worked on our door for nearly an hour to solve two problems in the existing lock and deadbolt. He was knowledgeable and fixed the lock so it functions well. New ones are quite expensive, so I appreciated his efforts. He said he would be there between 4 and 5 and actually came a bit earlier. Reasonable and professional--highly recommend this company! read more
