High Desert Labradoodles produces the highest quality Australian labradoodles puppies! I did an enormous amount a research into breeders and Dakota's operation rose to the top, time and time again. It made my choice very clear. High Desert Labradoodles produces one litter at a time, raising puppies in their home, with an incredible focus on their wellbeing, temperament and socialization. Dakota's philosophy and commitment to both the mother and puppies is unmatched. Each puppy, from birth through the careful matching process with each home, is gently and deliberately handled, loved and socialized. The puppies are loved on by her wonderful family, including her two daughters, which was a large bonus for our family. We were looking for a family dog, which Australian labradoodles are well known as, but being raised from day one around and handled by smaller hands was a wonderful asset. Dakota runs such an ethical, mindful business. She is wonderful and was happy to answer any questions I had before our puppy was born, in the eight weeks our puppy was in her care and even when we took our puppy home. Everywhere we go, our petite girl Granger (from Leo and Dory's litter), receives numerous compliments on her temperament, looks, and affectionate nature. I am constantly asked to give the name of our breeder and happily share High Desert Labradoodles name every time. Granger was potty trained and sleeping fully through the night within 10 days of coming to our home, a true testament to the extra effort High Desert Labradoodles and Dakota put into working with the puppies. I highly recommend High Desert Labradoodles! read more

We can not say enough good things about the newest member of our family. A beautiful miniature Australian Labradoodle from High Desert Labradoodles in Bend , Oregon. The entire process (from putting in our deposit before the puppies were even born to picking up our little Wilson at eight weeks), had an easy flow all the way through. Dakota (the owner) was very forthcoming with pictures, videos and helpful tips for transitioning our puppy. She carefully matched our puppy to our description of lifestyle and the personality we desired. Wilson is thriving with us due to his early days with Dakota. He is a very healthy, happy puppy and has no health issues whatsoever. We highly recommend High Desert Labradoodles . read more

We got our Watson from High Desert Labradoodles and it is obvious how caring and diligent Dakota is in breeding and raising these pups! He is healthy, exuberant, playful and also loves to have quiet time in my lap or a nap in his kennel. He seems to have a wonderful temperament. He's smart and is doing well with potty training, even at 9 weeks old, sleeps through the night, and even knows his name now and comes when he's called. We're in love...I highly recommend this breeder! read more

GREAT PRAISES FOR HIGH DESERT LABRADOODLES HIGH DESERT LABRADOODLES is WONDERFUL. It is hard to put into words how incredibly thrilled we are with Dakota and her beautiful family and puppies. The care and preparation with the puppies is beyond what was expected with adopting our TIKA!!! The updates, text messages and photos increased our excitement level each and every day. All Dakota's recommendations are spot on!! From prepping our home, to food, toys and supplements everything has worked out beautifully. Due to family commitments we were unable to pick up our puppy when the date came. Dakota, Cam and her girls, Bella and Scarlett, gave TIKA care and love like she was part of their family, sending us photos every day or two until we got to bring our precious girl home. We are now home and TIKA is perfect in every way! From potty training to her eating and sleeping habits it truly couldn't be better. We could not recommend this labradoodle breeder any more. If anyone reading this is lucky enough to get one of Dakota's puppies, WE HOPE you will be blessed as much as we are!!!! THANK YOU DAKOTA, CAM, BELLA & SCARLETT....we love our TIKA so very much!! read more

After coming across the cutest puppy on the internet, another breeder informed me that the puppy belonged to High Desert Labradoodles. After talking with Dakota on the phone, I knew this was the breeder for me. She answered all of my questions and actually asked me a lot of questions about my lifestyle. It made me feel good knowing how important it was to her, where these pups would end up. She explained the process very well and kept me informed. I ended up with my first pick with a boy named Riggs. He was healthy, happy, and very sweet. He is now 6mo old and I'm already contemplating getting another! He has a great personality, very playful but also knows when to crawl up on my lap and cuddle. I was very pleased with my experience and would most definitely recommend High Desert Labradoodles if your looking for a great pup! Michelle read more

When my husband passed away, I knew that I needed a soft, loving four-legged companion to warm up my heart and home. Dakota matched me with the BEST pup I could imagine, and I am now her (Sky's) guardian. I take her with me most everywhere I go. Sky is so adorable, friendly, and smart that she receives greetings and treats from everyone we encounter. They often say, "She looks just like a beautiful, soft stuffed animal. Can I pet her? Where can I get one like her?" Dakota, owner of High Desert Labradoodles, is a HIGHLY SKILLED and ETHICAL breeder. She carefully attends to and trains her puppies during their first precious 8 weeks of life. Dakota provides a beautiful home with sensory stimulation and socialization appropriate for the pups' developing brains and bodies. Dakota interviews and works thoughtfully with families to find the right match for each family's unique needs. And, Dakota continues to maintain contact with families, providing support and guidance with puppy care and training. Looking for the right pup for your home? I highly recommend that you give Dakota a call! read more

My husband and I have often discussed how lucky we were to have found an excellent breeder like Dakota at High Desert Labradoodles right in our own community of Bend, OR. I learned about Australian Labradoodles in my search for a possible future therapy dog (I'm a MH therapist); then I started researching different breeders both in Oregon and surrounding states. Talking with Dakota after a few other breeders convinced me that High Desert Labradoodles would be the best choice whether she was close by or in another state. She was prompt in her replies, answered all of my questions, and asked her own very good questions to ensure that we were going to be viable pet parents with the right environment. From the start of our communication through seeing their birthing set-up in their home to finally picking up our beloved puppy, Dakota's passion, depth of knowledge, and commitment to taking the best care of her dogs and their babies came through. The outcome has been just as we hoped! Our almost 4 month old puppy, Obie, is a wonderful blend of playful, athletic, mellow, and smart. We get compliments on his temperament from his veterinarian, our friends & family, and our neighbors. He makes friends wherever he goes and we regularly gush about our experience with Dakota and High Desert Labradoodles. Who knows for sure what Obie will be when he grows up, but no matter what, he's going to be a wonderful, well adjusted dog due, in great part, to Dakota and her family giving him such a solid foundation. read more

If I can only give 10 Star, I would definitely give it. I have dealt with several breeders before I found HDlabradoodle and my experience with them is nothing less than excellent. Dakota spends so much time in the process to get you the puppy of your dream, from the day you first communicate with her up until pick up day, she will take notes about you so when the puppies are born, the perfect match occurs! from birth pictures and updates to the weekly videos personally sent to us, exhibits the love and passion that the whole family have in breeding, The knowledge and work that she puts in the entire process resonates to the highest quality of puppy that you will get. Our puppy not only have the exact markings that we preferred but also is well mannered, sweet, gentle and is exceptionally smart. We've only had our puppy for 3 days and we were able to crate trained him the first day and the potty training is so easy! 3rd day, I trained him to fetch a ball and return it...took 10 min for the pup to learn! This is a testament on how smart these breeder's pups are. I am so grateful that I have found them...the bonus part is we are in the same city. Thank you so much HDlabradoodle and especially to Dakota for bringing a puppy in our life that brings so much Joy to us. read more

We can't recommend Dakota and High Desert Labradoodles enough. We love our beautiful puppy so very much. We found High Desert Labradoodles during our process of looking for a high quality trustworthy breeder through word of mouth in our local community. We actually ran into a previous customer at our local hardware store and they were raving about their puppy and the amazing breeder. Dakota takes the entire process to the next level. It is apparent how much she cares for her dogs and their pups. We felt so confident that we were getting a puppy from a loving caring and thoughtful family environment. It was apparent from the beginning that our puppy was given the very best start and we couldn't be happier with him and the knowledge that he came from a loving family environment that truly cares and has highly respectable breeding practices. read more

We could not have been more thrilled with our experience with High Desert Labradoodles. Our family had experienced the traumatic loss of a young dog to bone cancer, and we weren't sure we were ready to open our hearts again. I had heard of HD Doodles through a friend and reached out to Dakota on a whim. Her warmth, empathy, generosity of time, and understanding of our first situation made it very clear to me that we wanted to get our next dog from her. The love and knowledge that she pours in to caring for the mamas during the birth process and the puppies during those first eight weeks is unbelievable. From day one, she is taking steps to ensure her puppies are healthy, strong, and exposed to as many household sounds and experiences as possible. After the pups were born, we received so many photos and videos of the litter at each little milestone. Weekly emails included photos of each pup as their physical traits and personalities started developing. She cares about the household that each puppy goes home to and does so much to ensure a good match. We could not be more in love with our sweet girl, Juniper. Dakota absolutely set us up for success with training tips and early introductions to the crate, potty training, and car rides. Thanks to the foundation she laid, Juniper was crate-trained and sleeping through the night in 3 days, (mostly) potty trained within a week or so, and is fine in the car (including our 10-hour drive home from Bend). She is absolutely thriving... eager to please, easy to train, well-adjusted, shockingly calm, and THE cutest puppy around. We have had her home for almost 8 weeks now and are so happy that we connected with Dakota. I cannot recommend this thoughtful, conscientious and trustworthy breeder enough. read more

We were incredibly fortunate to find Dakota at High Desert Labradoodles when we were searching for the perfect family dog. Dakota and her family raise one litter of pups at a time and dedicate all of their time to getting the pups ready to join their families - including crate and potty training and riding the car. She also spent so much time getting to know us and understand what kind of dog would work best with our family. She sent weekly updates and let us know about all the puppies in the litter, culminating in a video where she talked about each puppy before matching each puppy for a family. We got our adorable Archie 2 weeks ago and he is a dream. So mellow and sweet and we had him sleeping through the night within a week. Dakota also provided us with a ton of great information about training that set us up on the right path. She is also so generous with her time even taking questions now. Honestly we can't believe our luck finding High Desert Labradoodles. I cannot recommend them more highly. read more

I'm privileged to be working with HDLabradoodles as a guardian for Rue who is 22 mos old. She was whelped by Dakota March 2020. She will be bred on her next heat cycle. Rues mom is Rosie who will soon be ending her career as a breeding dog. I've had dogs as a child growing up and thru adult life off and on. But Rue is so stinkin special. I love love love this dog! I've never had such a sweet, personable, loving, great tempered people friendly dog ever!I could go on with lots of words but I think you get it. I want another one so badly. I can't say enough about Dakota Dawson and family and her standard of raising these sweet puppies. She has so much experience with human birthing that it Carrie's over to the pups. She cares deeply and starts working with these babies to acclimate them to the world. Never seen anything so special as their kids snuggling a pup and reading or singing to them and handling them. She gives so much attention to every detail and is wonderful to work with. Don't let her being a newer breeder stop you. I've known her for maybe 5 years as her kids and my grands go to school together. I've always admired her dogs. I'm thrilled she is raising these amazing creatures, a passion she's had and is now doing. She's there to help whenever I have a question. Dakota is one who is a serious learner and a fast one who search's for the best dogs and knowledge. Highly recommend HDLabradoodles! read more
