They were at Pop-Up's and special events around the area (and region). And now, they can be found across the region (including North and South Carolina). But what do they carry? Though personally they have handcrafted leather gifts, accessories, and jewelry they follow more the pattern of a boutique in that they have items from other small businesses. What kind of items, you ask? Candles, cosmetics, coasters, can coolers, (and to finish out the C's) clothing. The ambiance of the space alone is rejuvenating. The natural light pouring in through the front windows, the reflection off the lightly stained wood accents and pastel colors inhabiting the space, and the warm smile of every team member awaits you upon entrance. There are people/businesses we all find ourselves routing for. They've put in the work, they remained positive amidst challenges, and they have proven resilient despite adversities. And for Freshwater, in addition to that, they have opened a brick-and-mortar location even after all that 2020 brought their (our) way. I will champion them to anyone who asks (or doesn't). Stop in for a visit and I have no doubt you'll do the same.

This small boutique is behind Applebee's on Washington Road. It sits on the left next to the Chinese massage parlor. I was greeted quickly by the associate working. I gave them a head's up that I would be coming that day because I saw them post a beautiful distress denim skirt on Facebook and I actually bought that exact skirt. When you walk in the straight sizes are on the left and the plus sizes are on the right. The associate working explained this to me and the sales items were to the back. There is a dressing room in the back to the left. I did try the skirt on to make sure it fit properly and it did. Check out was a breeze. I was able to use a Yelp coupon for 20% off one single item. The associate thanked me for coming and told me to come back and I told her I definitely will be back. I can't wait to see what type of clothing they have for the cooler months. I really enjoyed shopping here!!!! I glad I was able to finally get to check them out. Even though I don't need any more clothes I can't wait to see what else I can add to my wardrobe!!!!

This store offers just about everything you can imagine in a beauty supply and more. They haven't…read morebeen here long but they have made a name for themselves by what they offer and other things I will talk about later in this review. This store is MASSIVE!!! They sell hair, makeup, wigs, clothing, shoes, accessories, and everything in between. They get a lot of business because they are open earlier than most store, which is about 8:30am. They are open about 8pm as well. So that's a big draw for them as well. I've come in looking for certain things and found those exact things and more. I put my aunt onto this store as well. She was looking for an affordable unit that I can cut and style for her with having to make one from scratch. We were able to find the perfect one and I got her to step out of her comfort zone and try a new color instead of 1's and 1B's. The hair in the unit was sooooo soft and took heat from my CHI flat iron very well!!! One downside about coming to this store is that they kind of watch people like hawks and that's because they have a really bad problem with shoplifters. They are posting videos on their Facebook page every week of someone shoplifting. I don't understand why people are still shoplifting from them because they have current CCTV equipment that's able to zoom in and out on the shoplifter's face and all?!? So, I try to only go in when I know I'm going to buy something instead of looking around aimlessly. I do like what they offer and the employees are always helpful with me, so I don't have any complaints about that. The store is pretty spacious and tidy. I'm glad they do take pride in how the store looks instead of looking for a profit only!!!

I come here for my lashes, my Camille Rose products, hair for my protective styles, etc. Speaking of, they have the LARGEST selection of braiding hair I have seen. I asked her if she could check my bra size. I had every intention of coming back to buy a bra, but I must not have looked the way she envisioned an ideal customer to look (which was my impression) or maybe she was just lazy, because she turned her nose up at me and told me if I wasn't going to buy anything that day, she couldn't waste her time on me. Had there been a lot of people in the store, I would not have asked in the first place. But I was the only one, it was a weekday and there were few people in the entire shopping area, and there was no way it could have hurt her to take two minutes to, you know, do her JOB. Needless to say, the next time I purchased my bra, it was NOT from A Soft Touch.

The ladies are always very nice and welcoming. I am not the type of person who looks like money. I live on a farm and am usually dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. the fact of the matter is that these people make their living buy selling their products. I am sure many people try to come in, get properly fitted and then go buy a bra somewhere else because the products are expensive. I think that had to do with the last person's experience. A Soft Touch has great products and great service but it is pricey, however, the quality is totally worth it!

Our names were slated in an angle and on the larger size robes they didn't up the printing size !!! This company had my robes almost three weeks and then stated I could stand my girls with their back turnt to take the pictures so that it's not visible! You should have heard the things that was coming out of their mouth !!!! This is my wedding !! I trusted them to do a job and they failed !! Big time . Then stated they would substitute the robes with shirts and bling the shirts out !! And sent me an invoice for the shirts !!! It was awful... I told them I'm not looking to do business with them anymore and I thought the shirts were being done because of this huge inconvenience and I was told no we are a small business!!! Small business or not your business has FAILED A CUSTOMER BIG TIME ... Mind you it took weeks for me to get these robes because I ordered from two different vendors so them purchasing the robes and redoing them was out the question because my bridal party was that day ! I end up canceling my bridal party . They reimbursed me the money I paid them for the doing the robes that they screwed up and reimbursed the cost of them !! Which still put me in a inconvenience because NOONE sales them locally and the one company that did the cost was ridiculous!! I will never do business here again. COVID considered, I stayed long enough to take some pics and scope out what I'd be coming back for. There was a card reading the day I went and the people kept coming. I love it though I'll be back on a slower day so I can browse a bit more.
