During my appointment, many people walked in without an appointment, and they took them. lol Pros - 1) I have ticklish toes and this was the FASTEST pedicure I've ever received, which is a very good thing when you don't like having your toes touched. 2) Gel polish came out well and stayed on for a long time. Cons - 1) Asked me to use Venmo or cash at the end. LOL I've had it with the cash-only nail salons!!! This was the best pedicure I have ever had in my entire life. When I walked in, the lady asked if we had an appointment and I told her no, but I had no idea that they go by appointments so she was able to fit us in which I was very grateful for as soon as we walked in we sat in the pedicure chairs and got service right away. My boyfriend and I got the luxury pedicure, and with that comes the wax and hot towels, and also a heated neck pillow. My nail tech Ronnie was so nice and welcoming and also explain to me that with each customer they take their time which I truly appreciate it was so nice in there so relaxing and everyone so nice. My pedicure was so relaxing. They really truly rubbed and got the dead skin off of my feet which was much needed. They do just about any type of meal service or foot service that you might need. They also do waxing which I was very surprised about overall I get this experience a 10 out of 10 I will be back! I truly appreciate how they take their time with each customer because it makes things feel not rushed. Even though this nail shop is a bit of a drive for both me and my boyfriend. We both said when we come to New Orleans, the Harvey area specifically. we will definitely be back.

Vicky took me and she was super nice and made beautiful recommendations since I wasn't sure what I wanted to get when I came in. I ended up getting a solar set with four flower encapsulated nails. She pulled out all the flowers she had with her and then suggested some foils that I looked at while she shaped my nails. She was very attentive and paid a lot of attention to detail which I really appreciate. She even went as far as to go on the back side of the nail and file down any spare acrylic which I've never had done before. She made sure she filed down the thickness of the front as well. Whenever I went to my main salon (cute nails don't get me wrong) they always made the nails way too thick and left me wanting more from them. But I can truly say I left 100% happy with my set from L'amour. They were also playing super calming music which almost put me to sleep since I was so relaxed. If you're looking for a nail salon that does on-trend nail designs that look like the pictures (if not better) then you need to see Vicky. I'm glad to have found a new favorite nail salon. (For pricing reference: I got almond shaped solar acrylics with a longer length, gel polish, and four clear nails with encapsulated flowers and foil which wound up being $83)

I stopped in yesterday on my lunch hour as I work close by - a delightful young gentleman did a…read morespectacular job on my Gel X full set and was a pleasure to speak to. He is the reason they didn't just get one star. Based on this experience I made an appointment for today at 1pm, again on my lunch hour, for a basic pedicure. I arrived right on time for my 1pm appointment and not only was every person there with a client they appeared to have just started full sets on everyone. At 1:12 I inquired as to how much longer the wait would be and explained that I was on a schedule, which is why most people make appointments. Of course, I was told 5 minutes. I was seated in a pedicure chair by an older gentleman who turned on the (scalding hot) water and returned to glueing tips on his client. When I told him the water was entirely too hot for me to even put my feet in he simply turned it off leaving me to wait with my feet resting on the side of the bowl. At this point I just wanted them to hurry up with what they were doing. I informed them - at 1:30 - that I was leaving as I could not wait any longer. They all simply watched me walk out the door with no acknowledgement or apology. Here's a suggestion. Do NOT accept appointments if you cannot honor them. And don't be rude to those customers who made an appointment, showed up on time for their appointment, then were essentially ignored and jerked around.

The outside looks really small but upon walking in, it opens to a decently sized room with a place for make up and hair, a private room for tanning, a few stations for manicures, and several chairs for pedicures. I really liked the overall aesthetic of the place. The whole place was well lit and airy, without the usual chemical smell of most nail salons, and that immediately impressed me. Nails: I chose a gel manicure with round edge and OPI blush pink (I don't remember the exact color name). Each nail edge was appropriately cut round. Each layer of paint was smooth and well-pigmented. It adequately covered the sides of my nails without over painting. The edges were nice and straight. Lighter colors are harder to cover without being streaky and the manicurist did a great job. My cuticles were cut appropriately, not too little and not too much. Service: I walked in without an appointment and was immediately serviced! I had Ann do my gel manicure. She was very gentle and sweet. I was looking for a nude color that had just the right amount of color but did not completely blend with my skin. She tried several swatches on me and we decided the blush pink was the nicest one. She made sure to soak my fingers and lotion them up before proceeding to cut the cuticles. She was extra gentle and did not cut too much. I told her that I had previous manicurists who cut too much and made me bleed. However, she assured me she would be careful. She was super friendly and great to talk to. She also made sure that I was happy with the length and shape of nails. Each layer of paint was done confidently and carefully, without rushing. And at the end, I got some hot rocks to warm up the fingers on a cold day. Overall: I highly recommend this salon. It is beautiful, clean, and does not have the typical chemical smell of most nail salons. Ann was extremely professional and careful with my nails. There was a lot of different colors to try and I will definitely return soon to try the other colors and a pedicure!
