Having planned and executed many events, I can absolutely see why my friends picked this location. Here are just a few reasons why I was impressed: The view is lovely, and the location is perfect! The Yacht Club could not have been better to work with! Forgive me, the gentleman who was in charge was incredible but, for the life of me, I cannot remember his name! If I figure it out, I will absolutely let you know! There is A LOT of parking! Yay! They have a spacious entry (with a coat rack, thank you very much) making registration a breeze. Lots and lots of round tables and cushioned chairs - no, really. Not a single folding chair to be found! The main banquet area is so well laid out. They also have a spacious bar area with a delightful herd of tall cocktail tables in the back. Julia, who ran the bar that night, along with her assistant, Mitch, were rock stars! Fast and Fabulous! They were professional and always had a smile, I love that. As you walk in, you see a lot of room for lots of tables without it seeming tight. A giant, pulldown screen for projection. A nice podium (having been a teacher for a decade, I know podiums!). A pretty terrific sound system with (I am guessing they are part of the package, but not absolutely sure...you may need to check with them) nice microphones! They were so great about adjusting the volumes for the music and the speakers, as needed. Great lighting!! A GIANT PRO KITCHEN! Again, you will need to find out what is available to rent. We had a caterer, but the kitchen is gorgeous! NICE BATHROOMS!!! YAY!!! Seriously, this is a fantastic rental space. You really should consider it; you will thank me!

The Club had plenty of parking space. The bar area is large and well furnished and there's plenty of space for a 4 piece band. The main seating area could have hosted 200 people with great tables and chairs. There's plenty of dance floor space between the bar and band area. The kitchen was very good and well outfitted for our caterers needs. I didn't give GHYC all 5 stars because we did have few issues that were partly the clubs responsibilities and partly our caterers. GHYC is very reasonable priced and the Event Manager was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process!

Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by the service. The owner, Les, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I politely asked why several of the machines weren't working, he responded with a short temper and a condescending tone that is unacceptable for any business owner. While my kids were able to play on the few functioning games, it is clear the establishment is being run down. You have to invest in your equipment; there is no point in staying open if you aren't honest about the fact that a majority of your games are out of order. As someone who runs a corporate firm, I know that respect and transparency are the foundations of customer service. If Les dislikes his business or his guests this much, he should sell it to someone who will actually appreciate the establishment and its customers. It seems obvious that this place will continue to struggle if the owner doesn't start actually caring for his business.

RV hookups they have 30 amp and 50 amp hookup they do have water and sewage dump there in the premise but you need to drive it there which is conveniently located shortly off the building. If you are an elk member you can stay there for 30 bucks I believe or 35 bucks a night. It was so peaceful quiet I thought I was in pleasantville! We went in the early summer and it was well maintained you get to park on the lawn not in the dirt road driveway or a pothole covered cement broken up parking lot. To be able to back up to a 50 amp hookup was incredible there's two spaces for this there's one side that has 30 amp and then the other side has 50 amp they're probably about 12 to 15 spaces on each lot I guess I'll call it or how about grounds. RV parking grounds, sounds way better! Now listen to this it also has a swimming pool, outdoor, that is. But why not have a swimming pool party which this is open from May until the end of September. You can have it in the evening too they had, outdoor bulb string lights going across the whole swimming pool it looks so beautiful almost like a wedding gone perfect,! It also has spacious restrooms with showers electricity, if you plug in your dryers and curling irons it has beautiful mirrors in there to make yourself glamorous. It also has a laundry room facility that has multiple washer and dryers there is a dollar fee per dry and wash. When I was there in my RV I did all my laundry in there because they have industrial size washer and dryers which cuts the time in half. That was the free FYI for me! Laughing out loud. Oh by the way it has a round parking lot almost going all around it, and also two baseball fields directly behind it. Now this place you could do some amazing things from parties, events, right now they overnight slumber party for the young kids. Have breakfast for them in the morning you got a full kitchen to prepare it would be wonderful! Or when that pepper baseball game there and invite people to spend the night with the RV parking if they have a destination trailer or a fifth wheeler or a travel trailer or a RV, class A class b or class C. The interactions are limited to certain parts of the show and the way you interact with the projections is just by waving your hand over the wall -- no need to touch the wall. The venue is a very large open room. The back wall is covered with mirrors, the side walls are very long, the front wall is the main screen. The center of the room has large square blocks for seating. The main screen has more interaction for kids. Showing is about 45 minutes long and the room is dark but the lit up walls have enough lighting so you can see where you are going. Overall a neat experience but I was expecting more plant life and less of what seems to be an "acid trip", for lack of a better description, showing. It reminded me of the random colors/lights that Windows Media Player generated while playing music (shout out to you 90s kids). The interactions were enjoyable but in my honest opinion, may be better suited for kids and less technologically aware individuals. A nice one time experience but I wouldn't bother doing it again even if it was a different showing.

My daughter likes holding the small pail unless the goats are getting feisty. We walked around to the nature path and "Music" area as well as the back field with donkeys and horses and the zebra. It seemed like more play equipment than the last time I was here and I could see it being pretty fun with a group of kids. In fact, someone had a birthday party while we visited and that looked like a nice time. The cows, donkey, camel, sheep, and goats in the barn were super keen on some snacks. My kid was sad the pirate ship wasn't open. She did play a lot with the toys. We stayed about 2-3 hours though our initial pass was about 1 hour. Tried to wash hands a few times at portable setups, and before we left. A few groups brought lunch and ate at picnic tables!
