There's really not much to it, but it's such a nice getaway if you want peace and quiet. I haven't seen more than 3 people at the park and any given time, and sometimes I am the only one! During a time where many people want to be outside of their houses but still avoid people, this park is definitely an answer to that. Just watch the Canadian geese poop on the loop, they're messy and reckless!!

We've run sprints and suicides, jogs around the field and other general HIIT workouts. There's an extra added challenge because part of Gorc sits on a hill. There's a playgrounds nearby if you wanted to use the monkey bars for calinsthetics. Docking a star because, as someone without kids, it seems like there are games or practices going on there practically all the time, so we haven't really gotten to enjoy it as often as we'd like. Parking is plenty, with overflow into the street. Get outdoors during this time if you (safely) can!

My favorite part is the swimming classes for the kids. For the price (member and non member), you can get excellent instruction. It can get crowded with a lot of students but a good deal just the same for the price and length of time (30 min) 2. Friendly community! It feels like a family when you join Sports Fit Bowie. Most of the members have been there for years and enjoy the small yet big gym (as in the size of the facilities) feel 3. Down side to having committed members is that the the equipment is a little bit older, especially in the exercises classes BUT the instructors really make up for it. With the family atmosphere the instructors take the time to know you and constantly monitor you to do the right thing to prevent injuries. 4. Bathroom facilities are amazing! I love taking a shower here because it is so clean! Family bathrooms need some constant upkeep like the regular bathrooms but not too bad.

This park has two enormous fields, where I see soccer played a lot. In between the two fields, there is a sheltered dining area, bathrooms, and a long row of benches that connect the front of loop trail to the back of the loop trail. This loop trail can be a little challenging because it's quite hilly, no matter which direction you go in. But I see several people walking or jogging it all the time, and I see why, it's worth it! I appreciate the fact that this park is open until 11 PM, so sun down doesn't necessarily mean it's time to go. And of course, the potential for Pokemon Go hunting is always there ;-)

There was a large picnic space as you enter the park area along with an area with play structures to the right for the little ones. The lake is the centerpiece of the park and the trail goes around it. There were a good number of benches and sitting areas where you could sit and enjoy the view. There were a number of people biking on the trail. The trail was a loop and it was enough distance to get some exercise but not too long that you will get worn out. Everything was green and there were lots of beautiful views. I definitely can see myself coming back here with the entire family.
