Peach basil (you get to keep the cup) & a shot of tequila! 10 out of 10

This spot was so much fun! I The bar area was cute, the DJ was pumping, people were dancing around, and the overall energy was just good. Now let's talk about Lacie!! . She is an amazing bartender and honestly a pocket full of sunshine. Funny, friendly, super attentive, and she kept the drinks flowing all night. She made me a peach basil cocktail that was hands down the best drink I've ever had--no exaggeration. If you come here, you have to get the peach basil made by Lacie!!! We stopped at several places on Bourbon Street, and I promise you, no bartender mixed a drink like her. Not even close. If you stop in, do yourself a favor and ask for her. She can mix a drink like no other, and you won't regret it. Highly recommend!!!

Awesome, some food chill vibe great music . Shrimp are awesome. Get you a seafood platter and listen to the live music with a good drink.

When walking down Bourbon Street you will have so many options of bars. We literally were just hopping from one bar to the next and ended up here. The DJ had such a fun vibe and was jamming out and dancing while doing his thing. We definitely stuck around here a bit longer than the other bars due to just how much more fun the atmosphere was. I end up talking to a few other people and just hanging out and drinking for quite a bit during the night. I would definitely recommend coming here and hanging out and adding this bar to your nightly bar hopping experience.

We were walking pass and heard this awesome Band with singer. Oh my goodness they were amazing. So we decided to stay for at least one cocktail. When we're in NOLA again we will definitely stop in. Thanks for this experience

The best bar promoters on bourbon street! They were so fun to be around, the reason we stayed for hours!

The best spot on bourbon I tell you that. The promoters were such a vibe. DJ's jams kept the party going and accepting our song requests was appreciated. We stayed here for hours because they had the best price on beer + the promoters interaction and dance offs kept us hype. Such a good time!

Here's a polished, positive review you can use: We had such a great experience at Hideout Grill! We came for dinner with the family, and the atmosphere alone made it memorable. The courtyard is super cool--relaxed, charming, and perfect for enjoying a meal in the New Orleans vibe. The food was delicious, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. It was a great spot to sit back, unwind, and spend quality time together. The laid-back setting made it especially enjoyable with kids, but it would be just as great for a casual night out. Definitely a place we'd come back to next time we're in New Orleans!

Lacie S - thank you for deciphering my random description of what I wanted, and making an amazing drink. SO DAMN GOOD!

Great vibes at Hideout! The music was on point all night and really set the mood. Lacie behind the bar was awesome super friendly, attentive, and made great drinks. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

On a previous trip we had seen an evening show at Snug Harbor and wanted to experience something else. We had read good things about the Spotted Cat and their sets run all afternoon. We were a little confused about price because one of our guidebooks said there is no cover but you're supposed to order drinks. There was a doorman who charged us something like $5 each (still cheap!) and we ordered beer and a N/A drink at the bar and listened to a great jazz group playing old-time jazz. Interior is tiny and you're pretty close to the performers. We were standing at first but eventually found some seats as people left. There is even a back courtyard if you want to be outside, although I don't know if you can hear the music or not. We bought a CD from the band and enjoyed it when we got back home. While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars. The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!
