At home I had to lighten up the brows and take off some eye shadow. They've done my hair before and I loved it so I wanted to try it for my son's wedding. It wasn't as glamorous as I hoped, So I'm not sure if I'll use them or not for his wedding. Maybe if I go with the blow out vs hot iron curls. Price point seemed fair. Angela was pretty booked for color, so I scheduled a haircut with her first to get in a bit sooner and see if she would be a good fit for me. Before my appt, I also sent photos of my Inspiration haircolors/styles via text and in turn, she had me send her current pics of my hair and a summary of my color history. What I loved and appreciated was Angela's honesty and frankness. She didn't sugar coat anything and based on photos alone questioned if my hair was even healthy enough to withstand another bleach transformation to achieve the look of my inspiration pics. On the day of my haircut appt- she assessed the damage and confirmed my hair wasn't healthy enough at that time to get the results I was looking for with color and it would probably break if I bleached it again this soon. Not what I wanted to hear- but it is what it is...and I had consulted with another stylist prior at a different salon who essentially said the same thing. Angela spent a long time with me listening to my hair goals and examining my hair and we came up with a game plan focused on improving the health of my hair in preparation for my Inspiration pics. Loved the haircut and the vibes w/ Angela and the salon so I excitedly scheduled an appt a month out for the color. What Angela did was amazing! The brassiness/orange/warm tones disappeared, my grays were gone, and with a B3 treatment felt soft, healthy and had amazing shine. I was so impressed I booked her for the same thing again! I am beyond thrilled to have found a new salon and stylist with Angela at Shenanigans. She is super kind, professional, on time, upfront and talented. Shenanigans is right off the 91 frwy in a small strip mall with a mexican restaurant and Farmer Boys restaurant. The salon is clean, huge, and with alot of natural lighting. The other stylists and staff were all very professional, welcoming and friendly as well. After merely spending about 15 minutes deciding on how I wanted my hair toned because it was too yellow/brassy the last time I got it done (despite using an expensive purple shampoo) she freaked out saying "she's done with this appointment" and refused to do my hair knowing that I had an important event that night, saying that she "doesn't have time for me and my shenanigans." A LITERAL LONG TIME CUSTOMER. She made her assistant work on me instead, refusing to do my hair, even after I apologized for whatever might've upset her and told her to just do whatever she wanted to just fix my hair. Mind you, while her assistant worked on me, she was just sitting there talking to another employee and eventually took a walk-in customer that needed a hair dye, cut and style. More times than not, I end up leaving with something that I didn't ask for, but I just accept it and deal with it, hoping that the next appointment it'll turn out better. She hates to hear that someone isn't happy with her work and I've seen her behave this way with several other customers in the past news flash... that literally comes with the job.... You can't expect everyone to love what you give them every time, ESPECIALLY when you don't give them what they ask for and you must exert patience with all customers. The aesthetician Leah working here destroyed my face…read more Fibroblast gone wrong... I got Fibroblast done here and unfortunately, the results were horrible. I now have more damage to my skin than when I started. Leah sprayed over wrinkles and it ended up making them deeper and more visible, the burn marks were to deep and left holes in my face with black spot scares deep in my skin, not to mention it caused lots of hyper pigmentation all over my face and around my eyes I now look like I have freckles everywhere, which I did not have before. I posted the photos on a FB group of how the treatment was done the day after and I had over 150 comments saying this treatment was done VERY WRONG. I showed this to Leah and she assured me that she did it correctly and was properly trained, but I'm having a hard time believing the girl that trained her had any clue what she was doing because my skin is now permanently damaged. Leah offered to try and help correct it with a jet plasma pen but many people said I need to wait eight weeks before I do that treatment or it's going to cause more damage which Leah did not know either. I asked to wait the 8 weeks and now she doesn't want to give me the treatment she offered me. Leah gave some a professional grade chemical peel to do at home but I found out the chemicals in this product could also cause more damage so I never was use to use that. I'm now going to have to get thousands of dollars of treatment and waste more of my time trying to correct my skin. I explained this to Leah and asked for a refund or if she had any insurance that could help with the next treatments I'm going to need to get and she refused.
