    The road to the farm!
    Kenya M.

WOW! Hidden Pond Tree Farm is absolutely amazing!! We wanted to cut down our own tree this year, so we googled a good place to go! After scrolling through their website for less than a minute, we knew HPTF was IT! I didn't want to miss out on anything, so we decided to go the day after thanksgiving!! We arrived around 10:15am and there was a line of cars all the way down the street ! I didn't care! I turned on some holiday music and had a mini Christmas party in the car while we waited. There are cops there to control the traffic which helped a lot. It took us about 50 minutes to make it to the entrance which to me wasn't bad. The road to get to the farm is narrow and a little tricky! You'll only be on it for a couple of minutes so no worries! Top notch service from the time we drove in, until we drove out! This place is what I imagined the Magical North Pole to be! I was just waiting for Santa to fly by on a sleigh with dancer & prancer! They have several fire pits to roast marshmallows and delicious hot chocolate too! The tree farm? WONDERFUL! There were so many trees to choose from that I was a little bit overwhelmed- but in a good way! There are complimentary saws available to use, or you can use your own! We struggled to get our tree down, so one of the staff members helped us out! He showed my son the proper way to hold the saw, and guided him with cutting down the tree! All of the trees on the farm (except for the pre-cut) are $85!!! For the size of the tree and the amazing experience- THAT' S A STEAL! The staff all wore their masks properly! They have several stations with sanitizer and wipes around for you to use. Everyone was extremely friendly and cheerful & made us feel more than welcome! Bring CASH! The ATM on the farm charges $3 to withdraw money. NO FEE TO GET IN! The hayride to the tree farm is FREE or you can walk! I suggest walking because the scenery is so beautiful! There's plenty of great photo ops.... The parking is FREE! They will bring the tree to your car and securely tie it up for FREE! 100% KID FRIENDLY They're dog friendly, so load up the pups & bring them along! I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this tree farm! The magic of Christmas is definitely there ....! *bonus tip* Frank's pizza down the street has some of the best pizza I've ever had! Stop there for lunch and thank me later!

Frustrated. Positives first - hot chocolate and marshmallows with a fire! Kids loved that part. They also loved the hayride to the top of the farm. Negatives - no trees. Sure you'll find landscaping 20footers. Others were super small. They had - big tree in the cut any tree for 50 and they told me it would be at least 150. Strange advertising. Precut trees are 75 at cheapest (and at 6 ft) 10 footers are 150. Seriously. My kids were so disappointed Giving 3 stars because of the hot chocolate hayride and marshmallows. Otherwise it would have been a 1 or 2 star review.

By contrast a Christmas Song is of more recent vintage and can come from artists as broad as Paul McCartney, The Waitresses or Willie Nelson. Although, am I the only one who thinks Wonderful Christmastime by Sir Paul is pure cringe? Personally, I like the really old stuff because Christmas is all about nostalgia and besides it's what I grew up on and frankly there's nothing more wistful and haunting than the Holly and the Ivy played on ancient acoustic instruments or A Christmas Song by Nat King Cole accompanied by a solo piano. These classics will take you right back to that aluminum tree and everyone choking on Chesterfields and Kent's over dessert.... Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer... not so much. Anyway, break out the Victrola and have yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

"It Came Upon the Midnight Clear," "O Holy Night," "Angels We Have Heard on High," and "Joy to the World." "The Twelve Days of Christmas," and "Feliz Navidad," and "Grandma Got Ryn Over by a Reindeer" absolutely grate on my last nerve. "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" is cool because Barenaked Ladies covered it in 2004, Bad Religion covered it in 2013, and my favorite cover of this song is a tie between Ronnie James Dio's and Rob Halford's! "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" is beautiful! Whatever your tastes, ancient, traditional, contemporary or praise band, raise a cup of hot cocoa to Christmas carols!

Actually a 2 person show. Either MGR./owner greeted us and offered where to sit. The venue is small and quaint. It is BYOB and the waitress came back to open wine and offer sparkling or tap. We started off with the gentlemen recommendation of bruschetta. It arrived and it came out warm. My wife was ok with it. Me I liked it. Next up we split a bolongese tagliatelle pasta dish. A perfect mixture of Veal, beef pork was hands down one of the best bolognese pasta dishes I have ever had. I am first generation Italian and have been blessed in my home. Their bolognese was special. My wife had the chicken dish spinach and potatoes. She liked it thought it was a tad sweet but did like it. I had the pork medallions with potatoes and spinach. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. My pork was a tad sweet but mixed with the potatoes and spinach was terrific We ended up with a lemon dessert that came out warm and was delicious. In addition had another raspberry dessert from establishment and that was delicious. The place is small well lit pretty windows to view. The other patrons were all enjoying their time. No drama and couldn't ask for better patrons. The waitress was excellent and my wife and I truly loved this place. We will be back keep in mind reservations are needed. We were fortunate to score on a Friday. Their are nine tables why reservations are needed. They also offer a prix fix just in case and is reasonable. I will definitely be back and I'm doing that bolognese pasta not on a share but as a main. Terrific place Recommend
