The staff is consistently professional, with my horse's welfare their first priority. I am actually comfortable leaving on vacation, knowing they will keep a close eye on him even if I'm not there every day. I also get high-quality instruction as my horse and I advance through the dressage levels. Once you get past the basic levels of dressage, it's difficult to find quality instruction outside of a full-training barn. But, I own a horse for me to ride, not for some trainer to ride. I am not interested in a "leave your horse and your checkbook" situation. At Southlands, Allison King is doing a wonderful job of helping my horse and I work toward FEI, while I ride and train him myself. Clinicians and shows right on the farm add to the learning and the fun. The barn is kept clean, tidy and safe. Footing in all three rings is excellent and well maintained. I can do a five mile trail ride right on the property. And huge bonus--the heated indoor arena makes NY winters much more bearable.

But Stoneview is definitely the longest time my horses have been boarded. I hope it's like home for them by now. I love the people at Stoneview Farms. It's no drama, no bossing, no rudeness, and no stress. Stoneview Farms is a place where people come to enjoy their time with their horses. I really appreciate that. The schedule is very open but I always check for availability on special days. So far I can visit my horses anytime: 8 pm or 6 am. On holiday days or weekends. This is important since I live 35 miles away and I have a very busy schedule. The barn is kept extremely clean. The horse stalls are 14x14 large. Perfect for really big horses like mine. It has windows that are open in the summer. It never really gets too hot in this barn. I think it is because of the altitude of its location. There is always a nice breeze. The farm also has a large arena, a round pen, a jumping field and a track. The horses are not crowded in their paddocks which means there is plenty of green landscape for our equines to enjoy. The Taddeo family and their employees work tirelessly in improving the previously neglected farm. Every month there is something new, something improved and it makes everyone happy. Its already a gorgeous farm that suits our pocket sizes. Some boarders are serious horse people. They will ride under any weather, and their horses are worked almost daily in their skills. That is always inspiring to me. Some horses there are retired but they look very happy and cared for by their owners. Some horses belong to Eric Taddeo and these are race horses that are worked out almost daily. I really enjoy seeing all this activity. But nobody is preaching and its a very relaxed atmosphere without die hard rules. I do recommend this farm. It's a pity they don't have an indoor or a warm space to hang out in the winter with my children. But I'm certain that eventually it will happen... I love their new instructor Laura Juhlin and she has brought in so much business by teaching horse ridding to children and adults. She is also very easy going and knowledgeable of her horses. Stoneview Farms is the best Warwick secret. They are affordable, kind, home like facility for all sorts of horses and their owners. Thank you guys!

The farm: They have just recently moved and this new location has the most gorgeous barn interior I've even seen. Lofty, wood and timber, clean, organized, spacious, and open. The grounds were equally as stunning, especially in mid-october with the fall colors. We were early for our appointment and the groundskeeper generously gave us a tour of the grounds, introducing us to each horse and telling stories. The horses have so much room to run around and are paired with horses they get along with best and often ride together with, so they are all extremely friendly, and most are rescues. Our ride: Bridget was an amazing guide! She's one of those people who makes you feel in good hands from the start. She's extremely knowledgeable and experianced in riding and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. My boyfriend and I are advanced riders and chose Misfit Farm because of the reviews for more intense trail rides and were extremely satisfied. "It's not your average Club Med ride!" as Bridget announced. We trotted, cantered, and galloped among the trails. I rode Gershwin, an extremely sweet and even tempered horse, and had one of my most comfortable rides ever at all gaits. The horses we took on the trail all knew each other very well and were super comfortable riding close together. Bridget was a true horse mom and knew each horse's personality and behavior. The scenery was picturesque and the trail was the perfect length. I can't wait to visit again. I highly recommend Misfit Farm to trail riders and horse lovers, they have so much offer!

My sister and I both ride several times per week so we booked the trail ride. The horses are forward but confident and in good body condition with their feet well cared for. Some of the horses may jig-jog on the trail so if you are a very nervous or timid rider you may want to ask for a steady type of horse. We had a great time, an hour ride which was mostly walking but with some good canter/hand gallops up the hills. The scenery is stunning, beautiful woods and fields. Our guide Stephen was very entertaining and full of useful information. Recommended!

Isabella takes her time teaching my daughter how to safely ride, clean, and have fun with the horses. The farm is safe and clean. The animals are safe and sweet. Isabella is very well versed in each animals temperaments, as well as personalities, and will definitely match your child up with a horse that not only matches your child energy, but skill level!
