Idk about you but if I'm temporarily living somewhere I don't want it to be where the workers are…read morerude and can't do their job properly and I NEVER complain this is actually the first time I've ever even left a review but with how important it is to get a spot due to my boyfriends job this lady sent me over the edge. Called to put our name on the waiting list by a younger lady she told us to call in 5 days (also a Monday) due to a group of construction workers possibly leaving. Called Monday and an older RUDE lady picked up claiming she couldn't find the name and couldn't talk to the other women that got our info. She said she could put our name on the list now and I asked how many people have been put on the list in the last five days and she said about seven so I said that completely screws us and she said do you want me to put your name on the list or not very rude nonhelpful and she hung up on me. so my boyfriend called right after me and then she was able to find her name on the list Even though I gave my first name and last name his first name and last name and she was just so rude to me. Good thing we found covered wagon a lot cheaper just as nice and the people are very sweet and helpful.

This is an absolute gem of an RV spot. The camp hosts were awesome and good people. Downtown Monroe…read moreis close and a sweet little town. We were there during rain and cold and we loved being there. The neighbors were nice and there were only a few run-down RVs. The spring and summer would be great and I hope to come back. The owner recently passed so they are doing their best. This place is good for some energy recharging on some water. Someone wrote a review about prejudice back in 2018... This is the least discriminatory place you will find with many ¨God loving and generous folks¨ just waiting to say hi and give you a wave. People also kindly mind their own business yet still acknowledge that you are human.

We have stayed in many KOA's when traveling. This one was probably the top most run down. It was…read morequiet and peaceful, the cabin was nice. Besides it wasn't very clean, the tub/shower leaked. The playground was good for the kids, loved it was fenced in and the blow up playground was fun- it did rain so was a little wet. The staff I am going to be honest here- did not have professionalism at all. They didn't even know we were there until I rented a golf cart, LOL! We called in advance to check in late because we would not arrive until 10PM that night. No instructions to unlock the cabin but we figured it out- so if you arrive late- its 00 (cabin number) and the 3 lines at the top. Just for reference. It was family oriented. Which i loved. Just not ran well at all.

The good part about this day is there are a ton of things for the family to do. We did not have any…read morekids with us, but this park was convenient to wear. Our family reunion was being held so we opted to stay here. We were unable to get a full hook up site, all we could reserve was one with water and electric, which for tonight was fine. We are KOA club member so we did get a little bit of a discount, but it was still about 60 bucks a night for this site. They have two different areas where they assigned spaces. One is grassy and open with full sun and the other is completely shaded by the waterfront. It had rained for a couple days prior to our arrival so the roads were very muddy. I would agree with most of the other commenters that their roads are in pretty bad shape, very rutted and it is a slow process to drive your car through these roads. They were putting some gravel in the entryway when we arrived, but I would say the internal sites near the water were a bit of a mess. It's just very muddy and it really doesn't need to be this way. There's a huge mix of campers, fifth wheels and many tents so there is something for everyone. I cannot comment on whether they charge for different items such as the bounce pad and such as we didn't have any kids with us. I didn't see any priceless anywhere though. We did do laundry. Two dollars to wash, two dollars to dry and everything worked just fine. The staff were pretty friendly. They seem to all be friends and get along really well. We did not use the shower rooms or bath house since we're self-contained. Wi-Fi worked, but it was iffy. Verizon service was pretty good. One of our biggest frustrations was having a pull through site that you really couldn't pull your car out of! There were too many hairpin turns from site 205 so unfortunately, we had to go back to the main entrance and pull off to the side of the road to hook the car back up. Kind of a pain!

Rockey's is the very definition of "family campground." It's a place where people bring their kids…read moreand pets to relax, play in the water, and sit by the campfire. Lots of, possibly the majority of, people here are on seasonal sites, and some make these these quite homey, with screened porches, hedges, light displays and statuary. Campers are packed pretty tightly together, but if you came here you probably weren't looking for solitude. Though there were a lot of people here, it was quiet overall. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Other campers were pretty friendly too. The firewood we got was dry and easy to burn. We appreciated the cleanliness. The grounds were well maintained, and bathrooms and showers were kept very clean. Plenty of hot water in the showers, though water pressure gets weak if more than one person is showering at the same time. If you don't feel like walking all the way to the modern bathhouse, there are outhouses scattered through the campground, though I'd recommend just walking to the bathhouse. Rockey's is situated on a chain of small lakes, and there are some decent fish to be found in these. There's a concrete boat launch, as well as fishing boats and canoes for rent. When I was unloading my kayak by the boat launch, one of the owners said it was no problem for me to leave it on the lawn by the launch, and that I could safely leave all my gear by it with no worries. He as right. We were tent camping, which I think few people do there, and this did present some inconveniences. Some of the sites have few trees...like ours, and a little protection from the sun would have been nice. A lack of trees also left us with no place to string up our clothesline. There are streetlights along the campground lanes, which are handy for walking to the bathhouse after dark, but make your tent very bright at night. Rockey's doesn't cater to tenters, but some do come there, and for them it will be less than ideal. But for others it should be more than satisfactory,
