Dr. Alyas is the main physician and he will just tell you you're fine no matter what you tell him. This place is by far the worst doctors office you can go to! I have received good care here. I appreciate the fact that if you are sick, many times you can get another appointment with another doctor. Most of the time I can see Dr Yalda in about a week to ten days, she will contact me if I need it between taking care of her everyday patients who already have appointments.

She listens well, and treats me like a teammate. I like that they have added urgent care appointments. My only concern? I have moved to Harper Woods. It's a long drive! I'd love if they'd open a branch in the GP, SCS, HW area. Side note. About yelp, not Stonebrooke. Interesting that to see the 1 and 2 star reviews (which were all old, by the way) you have to download the yelp app. Things that make me go Hmmm...

I've been a patient at this practice for several years and had been taking the same long-term…read moreprescription without any issues. Originally, my prescription was for 1 1/2 pills, which meant I had to split a pill each day. At my last routine physical, I mentioned to Dr. Kastl that I had been taking 2 pills instead because it wasn't always convenient to cut them, and the difference in dosage was minimal. She agreed and officially changed my prescription to 2 pills. Six months later, when I requested a refill, I was told I had to schedule a medication check before it would be approved. I scheduled and attended the appointment, which lasted about five minutes and involved no meaningful discussion or changes to my treatment. The following week, I received a $150 bill for that brief visit. I contacted Dr. Kastl multiple times to express my concern and pointed out that, based on my understanding of Michigan law and federal guidelines, the medication I take does not require a mandatory six-month follow-up. Rather than acknowledging my concerns or showing any empathy, my messages were dismissed by simply stating "it's our policy". In this situation, patient care took a back seat to billing. After being a loyal patient for years, I was extremely disappointed by how this was handled. I will not be returning to this practice and would encourage others to carefully consider their options when choosing a primary care provider.

Poor service billing and front desk department…read more Rather than follow up with the providers telephone number to provide correct billing address, this office prefers to call the patient and tell them it's their responsibility to pay the bill and then collect the money from the medical insurer. They also asked me to contact my previous healthcare provider for my medical records as they were having difficulty with getting a response. I made one quick phone call and two days later my medical records arrived. Based on the continuous negative experiences I have experienced with the lack of responsibility , follow up and taking the easy route of passing the buck onto the patient, I would not trust this office with my health records or welfare. It's unfortunate that the office staff have to behave this way because the nurse practitioner was amazing.

FRAUD! This place Dr. Lawrence practices at should be called "The Endocrine Learing Center". First…read moreyou will only speak to the actual Dr. on your 1st visit, every time following that you will only speak with their "assistant". The assistants are good, but seem to be over worked because they NEVER follow up on anything they discuss with you. You will have to continuously call back to request for follow up on the things you discussed with them. I went in for an insulin pump on my 1st visit and gave up after a year of seeing no progress. I went to my PCP instead and had a pump within a month. You will also have to wait at least 6 months to get an appointment to speak with these "assistants". Here's the straw that finally broke the camel's back for me. I had a heart attack and while in the hospital one of the Doctors from this fraudulent office stopped into my room each day. They looked at my blood pressure and said, "Your blood pressure looks good, I'll stop back later to discuss your diabetes with you." They never stopped back later to discuss my diabetes but came back the very next day with the exact same story..."your blood pressure looks good, I'll stop back later." When I reviewed my hospital billing, those visits where they stopped in to tell me my blood pressure looked good were billed as "Endocrine Specialist Diabetes Counselling". This is obviously insurance fraud and likely the reason you can never see the actual Doctor at your office visits. The Doctors are too busy scanning the patient logs at the hospitals to see who has diabetes so they can make these 5 minute blood pressure comment visits and charge them as diabetes specialist counselling visitations while they have hired assistants acting as Doctors at their office. Don't just walk, but RUN away from this fraud of a Doctor!

I'm not sure how she has time to read every study, blind trial, and medical journal out there, but she has! It might take awhile to get an appointment, but that just speaks to her popularity as more patients find her and love her.
