"GB Shoes Warehouse" is a regional footwear outlet in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. This store is similar to the national D*W that many of us shoe lovers frequently patronize. I had a pair of pink, suede Merrell snow boots I purchased back in November 2005. For ten (10) plus years, these little gals surely performed the job excellently. They took me through Wisconsin winter, Pennsylvania blizzard, and are still standing strong in my closet. I found another pair of cold-weather boots by Sorel for $115 (orig. $230). I didn't think that looking for snow boots would be difficult because of the lack of demand for a warm climate. The cashier told me to put them on the next day since the weather in SC will be in the 40s. Well, that won't be necessary. They expanded their sales floor and now men's and women's apparel is also featured. "GB Shoes Warehouse" has their own loyalty program, the GB preferred card. My in-laws told me that they are cardholders and receive coupons consistently. Select brands would receive a significant discount ($20-$30 off). I would be willing to sign for a reward card if I were to live locally.

Fortunately, I don't support Walmart so while visiting family in the South, I dropped my aunt off and ventured across the lot to find this awesome store. I was a little nervous because it looked like a "Payless" from the outside but I had time to kill so went in anyway, so glad I did! The set-up is actually much like a "Payless" but the selection is just a step below a DSW and I consider that rare for the part of South Carolina I was in considering the most popular clothing store in the area at the time was "Fashion Cents." The variety of women's shoes were considerably trendy and fashionable and I appreciated that they had several colors available for nearly every shoe. I found it a little inconvenient that each shoe box only had one shoe (a loss prevention measure perhaps?) but I never had a problem finding a friendly sales associate nearby. Worth a visit!

It's not meant to be derogatory but as a compliment! The shoe section is huge! And I do mean huge! I went here today in the hopes of finding a really nice pair. To my dismay; I couldn't find what I was looking for. Back in the day it was very common to locate a pair or two or more of the Bostonian brand. Not any more! As a matter of fact I purchased a pair back in the late 1970's. It was my first introduction to Bostonian; and I loved them!I think they were 25.00 dollars at the time. Back then there was also a couple of department store's on Main Street in Gaffney. They sold Bostonian shoes for 100.00 a pair! That was a lot of money then!When Walmart came here; Main Street shutdown rapidly! No department stores or anything related survived. Guess what? Bargain Shoes survived; but they had to relocate away from Walmart! I was a bit disappointed in my trip here today as I didn't recognize any brand names in the shoes. They all seemed generic. I still would have bought a pair but nothing felt good on my feet! As you can see in my pictures Bargain Shoes stocks a little bit of every kind of clothing! I still suggest that this is a good place to shop for bargains!

They will sit there for hours and explain every step of the process to you. Leveling, pouring a foundation, framing, getting plumbing and electrical hooked up, etc. Jesus, I wouldn't be surprised if they come out to the jobsite for you and start barking at the contractors screwing it up. They do all this because they got the Ace Hardware heart. It might be a bit pricier here than Home Depot or, God forbid, Lowe's (DO NOT GO TO LOWE'S! they got worse than service than popeyes chicken), but the helpful hardware folks who work here are worth the extra penny. Sometimes I feel like pulling out a crisp 20 or benjamin and giving it to these guys because they are so awesome. I been to every section and talked to all the regular faces who work here.
