I've been coming here on and off for about a year now. It's the closest spot of its kind to me and the food is pretty good. Service could be better. Preparation time for food takes a little longer than it should and some of the prices for their food are pretty steep. It's not a favorite spot of mine but decent enough to come around every once in awhile when I do have the taste for some Chicken Teriyaki.

I walked in around 6pm. I attempted to order black pepper shrimp & chicken. Girl behind the counter stated that you can only order them separately. Most businesses that sell food will make the food exactly how you want & will just charge you more depending on your preferences. This is why businesses such as these are small & will remain small. They don't understand the value of the customer. Spend your money at establishments that value your money.

Had the Hibachi chicken and steak combo. The chicken was great, but not to crazy for the steak. Portion size, it was enough for two.

I live in the area and was very excited to see a new restaurant opening up in the neighborhood. I ordered the shrimp hibachi grill and the calamari. The shrimp hibachi is very good and fresh !!! The vegetables are so fresh . Unfortunately the calamari was not good at all !! It's sort of like tempora style and it's the squid rings I was under the impression that I would be having real calamari. I will definitely be back to try the other meal options

I see this new spot opened up in the area and was excited that it added some variety. Long story short, food is good! Tasty. I ordered the beef, chicken, and shrimp hibachi combo. Everything was yummy, except the beef was so tough. I also ordered the fried calamari. It was tempura and maybe one of the best calamari I have ever had! Place was clean and staff friendly. Four stars because there was a mishap with my debit card and entering my pin. I'll give the benefit of the doubt being a new business. If they keep up the quality of food. I'll be there often.

The hot pot itself I think was average but the real standout for me was the appetizers. Seating in a booth tucked away in a corner on the first floor was a bit awkward to navigate. The sauce station downstairs was not well maintained and several items were out of stock, but that may have been because it was around 9PM. Second floor seating and sauce station are better. Food 4.5/5: Main complaint is that their menu is really confusing, despite this being my second visit. There are 4 pricing tiers. Everyone in a party has to choose the same one, so it can get pricey fast. Higher tiers include seafood and more premium wagyu cuts. You still get unlimited wagyu in the lowest tier but seafood is not included. I think this setup is fine because premium seafood items like lobster and crab tend to clutter the pot and are difficult to deshell while hot but also taste worse after cooled. Although the premium wagyu cuts do taste richer and "melt in your mouth," most of the fat is renders into the broth. Therefore, I don't think hot pot is the best way to enjoy wagyu, so the higher tiers didn't feel worth the price. The best part of the meal was definitely the appetizers and specialty dishes. The wagyu bone marrow was amazing and a must-try but only available to the second tier or up. Ambiance 3.5/5: I think being tucked away in a corner booth made the experience less enjoyable. The table was small for a party of 6, so we constantly had to rearrange dishes whenever new food arrived. It was inconvenient that everyone had to get up whenever I needed to refill my drink or sauce. Service 4/5: The first floor sauce station wasn't restocked throughout our stay so options were limited. Otherwise no real complaints regarding service to our table.

The sushi is always fresh, clean, and beautifully prepared. The nigiri melts in your mouth, the rolls are perfectly balanced (not overloaded), and the hand rolls are crisp, warm, and made to order--exactly how they should be. You can tell there's real care and skill behind every plate. Service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe feels relaxed yet elevated--great for a casual night out or when you're craving really good sushi you can rely on. Bonus for regulars: they'll be moving two doors down, so exciting things ahead--but the quality that keeps us coming back is already rock solid. If you're serious about sushi, Torigo is a must. It's been a while since I've returned so when I was given a choice, this was and still is, my go to place when I'm nearby. This visit - lots of sushi on my mind. I ordered the chirashi bowl as my entree and a la carte, sea urchin sushi. Today the Hokaiddo uni was available so I splurged and got it. The California uni was available too but given the option, Hokaiddo is the way to go! The Chirashi is a beautiful bowl of fresh sushi - given my allergy to shrimp, I asked for a substitute piece of fish. They accommodated without an issue. The tuna, salmon, and mackerel was outstanding - so fresh! The octopus, yellowtail and tamago were perfect. I enjoyed this very much... Couldn't finish the rice. The bowl is a great deal and value. For starters, my friend and I enjoyed the lightly fried soft shell crab. It was simply divine - great crunch and a soft shell indeed. The optional scallion and dipping sauce isn't really needed but available. So good! It was super fresh. My friend ordered the Black Cod Bento box. Rice bowl comes on the side. These bento boxes are the best deal: comes with gyoza, fried tofu, edamame seaweed salad, wasabi salt, cucumber salad, both shrimp and vegetable tempura (even eggplant!) and the cod was sitting on top of some sauteed string beans. Both of our dinners came with a choice of house salad or miso soup. I recommended the salad because the dressing is fantastic here - citrusy and light ginger I think, with a bright orange color appeal. The complimentary noodles as a palate starter was also fantastic. There is a parking lot in the rear but I've often found spots easily on the street (metered parking but free after 7pm on the weekdays).

Great katsu and anything on the sushi menu was divine. Love the toro, yellowtail, and sea urchin. Can't go wrong with either the nigiri or sashimi choices. We've eaten sushi all over the 5 boroughs and in Japan and their fish did not blow us away for the high price and small portion. $20 for tempura that is not any better than other sushi places. $30 for 3 kinds of sashimi that consist of 9 small pieces of salmon, yellow tail and tuna and it does not come with rice which they charge another $4 for. The $45 nigiri combo was not worth it. The fish is not premium grade that command the kind of price they charge. Environment is dated. Service is good but not warm and inviting. We paid $135 with tax and tips for 3 items and no drinks. We could've paid less than $100 at other sushi restaurants with more food at same or better quality fish. Will not be returning and we live in forest hills.
