I've come to this place three times over the years as I've changed cars, and every experience has been pleasant.
Most recently I took my Ford Fusion to get the windows tinted. I was the first one there on Saturday morning which I highly recommend. It seems JJ works by himself so if you get there when there are people ahead of you, you'll have to wait your turn. This tint shop isn't on some fancy deco area, either, so it's not like you can leave your car and walk around or go to a bar. It's mostly an industrial/residential area, so I highly recommend getting there as soon as they open.
Anyway, JJ and I exchanged some words, went over my options and what I wanted, and he started working on the car immediately after.
The entire shop is very clean, and the waiting area is comfortable. I uploaded a wide-angle shot of the waiting area so take a look at it, but there's a television for your entertainment. I must note that the A/C was off at the time I was there and all the doors in the shop were open to let air in. It wasn't a hot morning though so I wasn't uncomfortable. Also, the bathroom had an "Out of Service" sign posted on it. I didn't have to use it so I had no problems, but keep that in mind.
The entire tint job took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. I didn't have any tints to remove so it might have taken longer if I did, but the Fusion also has very big windows, specially the back window, so I think the time is about right.
I should note that the waiting area has a perfect view to the work area, so if you're the type of person who likes to monitor the work being on your car, you won't have a problem doing that here. I never saw JJ slacking, though. Like I said, he works by himself as the store owner/sole employee so he probably wants to work on the job as efficiently as possible to get more money in his pocket.
In my opinion the fact that the owner is also the employee bodes well for accountability, and the tints I purchased come with a lifetime warranty.
I'll close by saying that I've taken 3 cars to get tinted at this shop. A 1995 Nissan Maxima, a 2003 Toyota Corolla, and now a '13 Fusion, and never once did I have issues with the tints. The Corolla I owned for five years and never did the tints come loose or discolor, which is of course partly due to the quality of the film and the quality of the labor, so I highly recommend this shop.
I can't speak on pricing and whether it was competitive when compared to other shops because I knew the labor is worth whatever price they're charging.
