I've left a review on HiWay Lanes in the past, however, since then, there have been a few changes. One of those changes being to the Pro Shop. The current pro shop is called: " SJ BOWLING PRO SHOP " -- It's run by a gentleman named Shawn. (317) 384-2212 He is informative, helpful, knowledgeable, and overall just a cool dude that loves to talk bowling & loves to help others that are interested in bowling, to find the right ball for them, the right shoes, accessories, etc. I definitely recommend checking his pro shop out if you're looking for a new ball, shoes, etc, or if you're just in the alley and want to drop in to say what's up. He has a great selection of bowling balls in stock, and if he doesn't have the one you're looking for on the shelf, he can order it direct to the store and drill it for you on the spot. read more

It's been years since I went bowling. I live north of Franklin and I've never been to this bowling alley until recently. I used to go to Southern bowl because it was closer. Hi-Way lanes a smaller bowling alley, but it's nice. They seem to have all the necessary amenities like a snack bar, the regular bar and the pro shop. We were checked in with ease and the prices were as expected. We went on a Saturday afternoon. I was surprised it wasn't busier. It was a good time overall. ;o) read more

I really like this bowling alley. It has everything you could want in a bowling alley except free daycare for toddlers. I'm kidding about the daycare but everything else is A-OK. On weekdays before 5 pm, games only cost $3.75 Food and beverages are available. Score keeping systems are very up to date and fun. There is plenty of parking in their big lot. They have a very nice mini Pro Shop here where I got my bowling ball's holes adjusted by re-drilling one of them to fit my grip better. I bought a bowling ball "suitcase" from them which I did not know even existed until I saw them. It is a bag to put your ball in, plus a side pocket for your shoes and another pocket for a towel or whatnot and the whole thing had two wheels and a luggage type telescoping handle so you can wheel it from the car into the building. But it also has carrying handle if you prefer. Austin's Bar & Grill is inside. They have a large menu. If you order food they will deliver it to your lane so you can continue to bowl while you wait. There is a game room, lockers and Tom & Jerry's Barbershop. The barbershop door is located inside the bar area. The game room is being updated and will reopen next week. read more

I am a very casual bowler (VERY) so this review is from that perspective. I've been here for a handful of kids birthday parties, which is perfect for the ages we've been here for (5-10) and I'm sure older kids would enjoy it as well. The pizza is great, staff is friendly and helpful when there are issues. We've been once as a family and it was a little more expensive than I expected with shoe rental, but I can't say I know exactly what the normal cost would be. But the experience was still great, so as long as you plan ahead you'll have a good time. I've never seen the place too crazy busy, but maybe we're just hitting it at the right times. Terrible customer service. Easton had a horrible attitude from start to finish and was extremely disrespectful the entire time. Instead of handling a simple lane mishap professionally, he chose to argue with us and give nothing but attitude. My wife and I came here with my brother and my sister in law. We had a great time, and enjoyed the food, but the real highlight is the people running it. The manager (I think) was kind enough to run through all the deals he had to help me find the best value for my money. I didn't even ask him to do it. We just had my 6 year olds birthday party. It was an excellent value and the price was great. The staff was great and the equipment was up to date. For a Saturday afternoon it was not busy and it was very clean. We did the birthday party special and had two pizzas, two pitchers of soda and my son got a bowling pin to sign. This is a very well run bowling alley. From the very personable staff to the hi tech facility, the evening is always fun at hiway. The place is packed on Saturday nights during cosmic bowl and we usually close the place down at midnight. As far as bowling alleys go, this place is tough to beat. Perfect example; every wedensday night is college night at highway lanes. Its $5 for bowling from 8-1 in the morning. All drinks(soda) and pizzas are buy one get one free. You can get a large for $10 bucks. Basically, get a couple friends togther and for $10 bucks you can get a pizza,bowling, and something to drink. Also the alchol prices are pretty fair as domestic beers range from $2-3. Lastly, Highway Lanes is really clean and has two bars. One inside the bowling alley and one seperated from the building with a putt putt course, pool tables, darts, and your typical bar entertainment. This place is great for group and family outings. We have been here twice for my boyfriend's birthday, and everyone always has a good time. Last year, I was able to make reservations for our group, but this year I was not able to do so because of the high demand for bowling on the weekends. I'm assuming that since a Greenwood bowling alley has closed within the past year, more people are flocking to Franklin to knock down some pins. We had a 2-hour wait for three lanes on a Saturday night around 7pm. I would give this place 4.5 stars if I could simply because of the miscommunication with staff when I was asking the best time to come in. If you want lanes after 5, then get there AT FIVE to put your name down on a list. Bar food and drinks are great and very recommended to pass the time. If you don't want to commit to more games than your arm/fingers/shoulder will allow, then you can pay for each game individual after you finish the one before. Best bowling complex in the area!

This was by far the nicest bowling facility I have ever been too. I came here from out of town, and was visiting family. Brought my bowling balls with me. The staff was first class and took time to size my kids up for a ball to use. They didn't like it so much, (meaning the bowling first time short attention span) but I enjoyed the time I was there. The place is incredibly maintained, wasn't all smokey, and they weren't blasting the music like other places I have been. I wish such a nice place was in the St. Louis area where I am from I would of continued bowling on leagues. They really make sure you feel welcome. Thanks for a great experience. read more

Great place for our 7 year old son's bday party. There were 34 children ages 2-12 and about 14 adults. There was plenty of pizza for everyone and more than enough space for seating and hanging out between frames. The bday party package was a very fair price for the number of guests we had. Called to ask if they had open bowling, 'Yes all night'. Showed up with my family to use their Groupon and all the sudden they had 2 leagues, large parties and several bookings.. The guy we spoke with was very rude, plus he made an older gentleman leave because he brought in a McDonalds cup.
