Our contractor wasn't any help. I had planned on using a big box store for the TV install but found their services lacking. Fortunately, I recalled seeing Crown Audio trucks in my area. After looking at their website I called them and scheduled a meeting with Brad. Brad was great to work with and made recommendations that turned out great (i.e. using a sonos sound bar and adding a sub-woofer). Since there appears to be no way to order on their website directly, it would seem responsiveness by e-mail would be important; their apparent inability or unwillingness to respond gives me pause in terms of customer service and support. While they appear to create a high quality product (by virtue of their product reviews), I will be avoiding them due to their apparent inability or unwillingness to communicate. Disappointing. I enjoy home theater very much, have invested a considerable amount in my speakers, and was pursuing good, quality stands - multiple sets... unfortunately, the customer service doesn't seem to meet the standard of the product - and inhibits the ability to make a purchase. I was tempted to give this a '1', but that would not account for the fact they appear to offer a high-quality product, which they appear to do (if you can manage to buy them). Let's say product likely is a 5 star; my experience of customer service a 1 star.

I'm the one that called the owner first to give him a chance to do the right thing. He says I'm being petty, but I don't like it when someone tries to take advantage of me, as I'm sure no one does. Here is the section of their proposal that discusses what is included. Read it and you decide. If no one from the company verbally tells you that there will be a second proposal, would you think something else is needed after reading the following? "Our pricing, unless otherwise noted, includes all labor charges and installation fees. Most of our equipment is priced at or below MSRP but the price you see includes everything needed to install it, thus we call it "installed price." If you need to have the proposal separated we can provide that, but through our experience most clients find installed price easier to understand. Labor charges as of this proposal are $155 per man hour for installation, $185 per man hour for programming, and $125 per man hour for retrofit. Our programming and retrofit labor charges are our best estimates and unless otherwise noted include time for setup and programming of the system plus time for tweaking the program. We have found that most customers require changes within the first 30 days as they begin to use their systems and we will modify the program twice within 30 days after the installation is finished."
